    I wanted to pop on and just let you know that your videos bring me calm and peace and hope and inspiration. I haven’t watched many but I have recognized that every time I do I feel so relaxed and at peace. I too am a gardener. I am so excited last week I received a free truckload of 7 year old cow poo!!!! Spent 3 days shoving and incorporating into my already horrible soil. So fingers crossed.
    Yesterday was my cancer chemo day so no hard work in garden today. Came across your video and am so thankful. God is good 🙏
    I hope for “Cottage Door!”

    I am a beginner and we had.some bad storms roll..through dfw. I had 3 tomato plants damaged and 2 tomatoes break in half even though I staked them. One tree down too. I am just thankful no one was hurt on our area and no homes too. I felt so bad this morning. I thought all my hard work was for nothing. Then my husband went and got me two hog panels and T posts. He said come on lets clean up. I almost cried that he cared so much what he is calling my hobby. I have always grown flowers but not veggies. Even my front flower bed was badly damaged.. But God knows what we need when needed. I was celebrating I guess too much on my wins from growing every thing from seeds but the onions.

    I’m getting a lot of those little bugs on my plants too 😖 I find them on everything! They don’t seem to discriminate. I’m letting them be for now because the caterpillars are doing way more damage but we’ll see. My philosophy this year is to let nature do its thing. If I lose everything then I’ll know what to do next year.

    Your garden looks amazing! So full of beautiful life :D
    About the Foxglove, the only way it would be poisonous to you or your family is if you ingest it. It will NOT cause your veggies or any other item in the garden to poison anyone. It's actually used to make the heart drug digoxin. I'm sorry someone got you all worried about it for nothing. I don't know what pets you have, if any but unless you are letting them wander the garden on their own and snack on stuff it's highly unlikely they will be harmed.
    If you ever need help with soil stuff check out Gardening in Canada channel, she is a soil scientist and responds to folks if they have questions.

    The garden is looking great. Corn is wind pollinated and really needs to be planted in a block (or at least 4 rows) for good pollination. When your corn has silks, you can go out and give your corn stalks a shake to help the pollen fall on the silks. The last 2 years I had a bad corn harvest, which kills me. Right or wrong, corn makes me feel like a "real" gardener! Last year was bad for corn for everyone in our area, so I guess that makes me feel a little better, but only a little. What crop makes you feel like a gardener?

    • @ourfreedomsong
      @ourfreedomsong  8 месяцев назад

      Thank you for the corn tips! I'm sorry about your crop last year but am hoping this will be a better year for you!!! I don't think corn will ever be a major crop for us but I would love to absolutely taste fresh 🌽!!! For me , I think it's running the whole operation that makes me feel like a better garden.... Managing things well ya know ... Esp growing so many different things that have different needs!
