I've been watching Survivorman since I was a kid. My brothers and I always loved sitting down with our dad to catch an episode. We almost never get time to camp together anymore, but these videos bring me back to a more wholesome time. Really cool to see Les explore these other topics too.

I was stationed at Ft Bragg 1983-1985. I was on the Robin Sage training with the Green Berets in the Black Forest of North Carolina. I was not a Green Beret I was from another unit that was playing the role of a Nicaraguan clan leader. During the training my clan and I were camped on a ridge overlooking a small ravene. I thought I spotted a scout sneeking up on us in a Ghillie suit. When I looked closer it was what appeared to be a tall hairy man. I stayed on my position and kept my eyes on the figure. I sent my team down in two groups down to surround the target from both flanks. As the soldiers began to circle the position, the figure slowly moved into a small stand of scrub oaks about 7 feet tall. From my position I could see 360 degrees around those scrub oaks because the ravene was surrounded by a clear ridge. My team fully circled the scrub oaks and closed in on the person and scrub oaks. They found nothing. I yelled to them to stand pat I was coming down. I never lost eye contact with the small group of scrub oaks where the person stepped into nor did I break eye contact with the encompasing ridge around the ravene. I walked the the scrub oaks and my team and I spent 20 mins searching the small area and even scratching around in the leaves looking for a trap door or something. We found nothing. I had noticed that the person/creature moved deliberately with stealth and confidence to the concealed position of the scrub oaks and seemingly vanished into thin air. I had the unnerving feeling that it was far more intelligent than us. At that point I knew it wasn't a person and it wasn't some dumb apeman. The next day I was searching for water and I found a very strange vary large foot print in the sand by a creek. It was twice the size of my foot, size 9 and the heel was very pointy, like an Isoscolese triangle with toes. The creature had considerable weight based on the depth of the print. Unfortunately, back then there were no cell phone cameras. As I reflected on the situation I realized I had witnessed what we know as a bigfoot. However, I truely believe it was a superior lifeform. It had to have either cloaked itself or transported itself to another location when we tried to approach it. It did not act like it was worried about our approach. It slowly moved into those scrub oaks for cover and vanished. For reference; the stand of scrub oaks was only 30 feet in diameter.

The absolute worst evidence is "Eye witness " simply because the Brain fills in the blanks when you don't know what you're looking at.
What you're describing is "Supernatural " and there's been NO EVIDENCE of that in the history of mankind...other that "Eye witness "...lol
It's far, far, far more likely you misinterpreted what you saw

It's amazing how so much work, and effort you put into these videos and you still have less than a million subs. Obviously 854k subs is nothing to sneeze at, but definitely feel like you deserve WAY more. You have channels like Outdoor Boys who honestly doesn't really even do true survival, and some video's his wife will literally just drive him out to a spot where he spends one night then she comes picks him up the next day and he is out there eating stuff he brought with him like steak and potatoes, yet he has over 11 million subs getting crazy views for not doing anything near what you do in your videos. I just find that crazy.

What I like so much about your work Les, you bring the doubt and skepticism along with the open minded curiosity that many of us viewers have and appreciate. It's an explorative journey that we all share with you. I loved some episodes when you are with a fanatic where they are adamant it's big foot, and you with your experience turn to the camera, "it's a bear." While at the same time, in other episodes, you show evidence that makes this experience and the reality more plausible. I've always been a believer after much time in the wilderness with my friend. Nature is always surprising us with creatures scientists long thought were extinct. I go on a hikes now with an open mind and awareness. Looking forward to this and hope that your kickstarter is successful!

I was on a 50 mile hike with scout's in and around Devil's Punchbowl, California. The woods looked destroyed, especially along the hiking trail. It looked like trees were thrown on the trail, not just fallen, as if the wilderness wanted to block human entrance to that area. We continued along and got to several of our destinations. On our last day I did a whoop and got a return call. Then on our way out, the trail we had just come through looked even more gnarly with a fresh large healthy tree thrown across the trail. I was glad to get out of there, it was a beautiful hike and experience, but it felt like the forest didn't want us to be there. The skeptic in me, inspired by Les, kept looking above and below the trail, to see if the damage viewed along the trail was a natural cause. But, above and below the trail, the forest looked "normal" with a few trees random down here and there, but nothing extreme like what was on the trail.

My family had some serious issues with UFO activity and what appeared to be a really scary haunting in a home my dad had built new in Louisiana that we moved into in 1966. I despise hoaxes. We saw a floating, glowing, red head in that home that looked like something from a horror movie. It didn`t look human. My friend Joel described it as an "evil pumpkin head" so I know he saw the same thing I saw. Some of the activity followed me after we moved but it was more random. My older sister and her friends saw an aggressive screaming Bigfoot in that region on a pipeline. The "whoops" were a common sound when I camped, hunted, trapped, fished and hiked a lot in the 70s/80s but I thought it was owls or animals until I got internet in 2000. I`ve never seen tracks but others have found them.

You really add some authenticity and integrity to this incredible and fascinating subject and to hear you now reveal what you heard in your mind on that trek out of the woods is just fantastic. I totally understand why you'd be hesitant to say anything at the time but I'm so glad you now feel comfortable enough to share your experience. Quite a few testimonials I've listened to on the amazing AYR channel- Australian Yowie Research channel have testified of having somewhat similar experiences to you and it definitely seems they have an amazing supernatural ability to communicate telepathically. We have found tracks on trail near the Cumberland Plateau area. I have video of the track on my RUclips channel. My husband and I have been asked to be members of East TN Bigfoot. Matt Seeber who was friends with Scott Carpenter is the founder of East Tn Bigfoot. He says I am a magnet for them, this is not a good thing. Your telepathy story reminds me of my own experience. As a kid growing up in a rural village in Vietnam, I was terrified of the dark and ghosts. I remember one night I was running to a neighbor's house to call my uncle to come home. As I got tired, I squatted down on the ground to rest. The moment I stood up, I had this vision of a being following me, jumping from the top of one palm tree to another, just following me. I didn't tell anyone about it right away because I wasn't sure if I believed what it was and I didn't understand why I saw it the way I did.
Perhaps I was scared of the dark and from being alone, that I allowed my own imagination to take over. Till this day, I'm still not sure.

    Hi Les,
Thank you for sharing your experience with mind-speak. It’s fascinating and resonates deeply with something I went through myself. I had an incident while I was with my daughter one afternoon on a wet, overcast day. The conditions felt almost surreal, and I’d already had some other unusual experiences earlier that day.
In my case, I distinctly felt a similar kind of communication-a clear, almost foreign voice in my mind that didn’t feel like my own thoughts or delusions. The message was profound and left me with the same kind of fear and awe you described. It wasn’t threatening, but I remember thinking I wasn’t ready for that level of interaction either.
I really respect how openly you’re able to share this. These moments are hard to categorize, and it’s refreshing to hear someone describe it without embellishing or trying to convince others of what it was. It’s just an experience-a powerful one-and we’re left to process it in our own way.
Your story reminded me that these connections, whatever they may be, happen to people who aren’t looking for them, which makes them even more compelling. Thanks for validating that this kind of experience isn’t as isolated as it sometimes feels.
Keep doing what you’re doing, and thank you for being genuine about it all.
    Best regards,

Well what did the dang voice say!?
I have heard mind speak also but it was just my name being shouted in my head. It was odd each time and not scary just werid. Last time I was just relaxing laying on a couch in my basement family room by myself.

I have heard you speak about the 1st telepathy incident once before somewhere. What struck me as funny was the statement you made in the episode that you wanted to search alone for bigfoot shortly after having been given that opportunity directly but turning it down. I'm sure if you had no more interactions with them there that was exactly or very near their reasoning for not appearing again. The opportunity was given but you weren't ready and so they likely saw the rest of your search as wanting to find them but not seriously because of fear. Interesting to think about. I'm sure I would have been extremely fearful as well given such opportunity. I know it doesn't matter much but, I believe your experience 100%. Thanks for posting the video Les. I hope you get an opportunity again IF and only IF you may actually want one.

I can't stand this. I've seem this comment from so many people so sorry you're the one that finally got me to comment but did you know Scott personally? If so I apologize because you would have more knowledge than others but if you don't know him you can't really say that he was a good man because the only Scott we saw was on camera. Everybody and I mean everybody acts differently when they are on camera. I'm not saying he was a bad guy either I'm just saying I don't understand how so many people can say that he was a good man without personally knowing him. Everyone has their skeletons or demons. People get these parasocial relationships with these YT where they watch them so much and listen to them talk so much that you think you know them personally when you don't. It's something that people should be very aware of. I myself have had this happen to me as well and I actually got a response from the person who's channel it was who told me exactly what I'm telling you. He said that I didn't know him personally so I can't really say what I say and have it be the truth because I really don't know.

It is good to hear you stand by your experience and finally mention it in connection with your show.
You've told this already in one of the Sasquatch Chronicles shows with Wes Germer in a multi-part interview, but now more people will know of this, luckily.
