Hi Christie, new subscriber here! Thank you so much for demonstrating how to cut using offset! I was wondering if you can cut out words like dies do on words that are in a script without an offset? Presently there are dies that will cut words but, let's say you want to cut out the word ' Presentation' in which the centers of the 'e, a, and o' have been cut out. I sure hope that I am saying this correctly for you to understand. I want to create my own words and images to cut out for projects. And one last question? What Silhouette machine should I buy that will do this and also cut from light to medium chipboard paper. Thanks, Carol-Lynn
Hi Carol-Lynn, If I'm understanding correctly you are wanting to cut out script letters. You'll need to type out the word and select all the letters and then hit weld. This will make it one continuous word like a metal die would make. I would recommend getting a Cameo machine. The cameo 4 will cut up to 3 mm in thickness. The portrait a smaller version and cuts up to 2mm in thickness. Here is a link to compare the Silhouette machines so you can decide for yourself which one fits your needs. www.silhouetteamerica.com/shop/machines Let me know if you have any further questions!

It Should be able to scan directly from the mat it’s still abit of work I think not worth the effort just use the brother cut and scan I think .
It isn't perfect but for those of us that don't have a scan and cut this is how we have to do it with our silhouette machines.
