You are just wonderful. Thank you
A video on calibrating the mat would be very helpful.
Why do you think you need to calibrate?
Fabulous Tips for Cameo
Sooo cool!
Funny, I JUST picked one up today! I’ve been meaning to for the last few years 🤦🏾♀️ so this refresher is right on time!
O wow I got one but I don’t think I have ever used it but now I will thank youuuu
Pix scan is what interested me the silhouette
What's the Link for heat gun, thanks.
Hi!
My cameo 3 can not register the pixscan mat - any tricks on how I can fix that. I have even tried to replace the mat..
Hey there, check out this blog post! www.silhouetteschoolblog.com/2017/01/silhouette-pixscan-registration-failed-troubleshooting.html
I thought you were saying a pig skin mat 😛
I have a new Cameo 4 and still can’t get the software to stop crashing. Can’t even get print and cut to work let alone pic scan. Yes done the clean uninstall about 3 times. Ugg, might have to go back to my old machine.
I haven't been able to get ours to work and there isn't any support from the company. Brand new from Costco. We try everyday and the thing still will not work properly.
May I ask what your issues are? I have a Cameo page on Instagram so if you still need help message me there @cameo4projects
Can I get a 15x12 pic scan mat an if so were do you get one thanks
Thanks for showing me a bit of what the pixscan mat is for. Can it be used to cut stamped images? If so, could you teach us, please.
Yes, it's really great for cutting out stamped images! You'll want to use the trace and offset tools in the program.
I really don’t have high hopes of this ^ working for me, I use the pixscan a lot for stamping, unfortunately I can’t stamp first and then cut out because it will often cut too far to the right of the image and I have watched every Pixscan tutorial. So now, I upload the stamp image from the Pixscan and trace the outside images with the offset and then use the Tim Holtz stamp platform to stamp the cut out images and that works really well. I upgraded to Silhouette 4 last year and do love this machine but getting the Pixscan registration marks to work for me like what you showed is a mystery to me. I’ve tried low lighting, bright lights, closing the lid, leaving it open....
Kim, you are not the only one... TRUST ME! 😂 I’m going crazy over here because it seems to work for everyone but me and I’ve tried everything under the sun to make it work. That’s exactly my problem too, it won’t cut accurately, always to the side.
Found a fix! Updated my software and firmware and without calibration my pixscan works like a charm!! So it was probably the software being outdated.
Keisy Diaz mine is up to date, I’m so glad it works for you!
Can this be done with older cameo? I have cameo 2. Thank you
Thank you so much. I got one with my machine last year. I had no idea what to do with it. Can you please tell us what all you can do with it. Pretty Please. Lol
There are too many things you can create, you can cut vinyl, paper, cardstock, etc.
I love making stencils that I use to paint wood signs, but that’s only one of the things you could make.
If you have an Instagram you should follow @cameo4projects
@@Kayd2111 ok. Thank you
Can you use the pieces of wood in cameo 3? With singe pen?
There is a 2mm Kraft blade that can work with the Cameo 3. This blog post will get you started: www.silhouetteschoolblog.com/2019/10/silhouette-2mm-kraft-blade-what.html
Could you paint the wood first then put through the machine to use the pen?
Yep
Could I just get a picture of the wooden pieces, make the text to fit, and then print it out to stick it on the vinyl?
😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤 watching this after hours of trying to figure pixcan mat
I already calibrated
Placed the mat off the mat placement lines and nothing!
How the hell do youake it work! 😡
I have never been able to make the Pixscan work the way you do. I’ve calibrated over 20 times, tried my phone, scanner, bright lights, soft light, etc. Nothing works. 😭 it always cuts to the side of the design, size is perfect so I’m confused as to why this is happening. Do you have any tips on fixing these issues? Thanks in advance
Same!! I can't find any help from silhouette
Rosa Gomez I fixed it!! Had to upgrade my software and firmware, after that everything worked perfectly! No calibration needed, if only I had known this before lol. Anyway hope you can get yours to work!
