"Demonstrate how the Darkness can be used for good, just as Light has been used for evil." I think Eris kind of misses the point here. Yes the Light has been used for evil things, but the point of the matter is that these two forces are not just static things like swords or guns that have no independent will of their own. The Light and Dark are sentient paracasual forces that actively oppose each other due their differing views on life. The Light encourages diversity and strength through unity and peace, whereas the Darkness desires conflict in order to reduce life to its most simply basic form, often with only the strongest left standing and then eventually even they will fall and silence will be all that's left in the universe. As such, the Darkness inherently corrupts people. It feeds on and enhances the negative qualities of species encouraging hostility and conflict. The Light however does not. It doesn't enhance nor diminish negative or good qualities within species. So while it has been used for evil, it is 100% not the fault of the Light itself that the Risen Warlords chose to use their Light for barbaric acts. That was their choice alone. However, this is not the case with wielders of Darkness. Its powers actively tries to seduce the wielder into becoming more violent, less friendly, cruel and even outright murderous as we can see with some guardians. So a Darkness wielder doing evil can actually be blamed on the force of Darkness itself and not entirely on the wielder. So Eris is kind of missing the point; yes both of the forces can be used for good and evil, but only one of these forces actively encourages evil deeds and that is why the Vanguard is incredibly wary of letting Guardians use Stasis. Eris herself even nearly fell by her own admission; if it wasn't for the Stranger, she would have become the evil leader we heard about in the alternate timeline.
