Shane Flanagan is a hard headed coach which is what a team like the Dragons need. He will turn them around and they will be more competitive, but they might take a couple more years to gel and become a top side again. They have the potential, but they didn’t have the right coach, knowing Flanagan’s no fuss attitude he will turn this team around, he was great at the Sharks, and they use to beat all the top sides and there was never this talk of “they can’t beat a top 8 team” and we all know where he got them in 2016.
dragons fitness, disapline and defense will improve under flanegan. they have a a mass of junior talent. with good patient management they will return to being a force in the next few years. as for who will get the spoon, it will all depend on injuries. if ben hunt gets injured, the dragons could be that team....! gus is still one of the best comentators going around. knowledgeable, with a good eye...!
Yeah if they can keep a fit team with minimal injuries with a core group of about 20-22 players only being used then they will go good. Apart from Flanno jnr there starting 13 are all some of the best players in their respected positions. I'd say and maybe Blake Lawrie too he's got heart and is a decent player but he's not a world beater while we all know what Sloan can do so hopefully he has a break out year. Oh yeah and no injuries to the main man at 7!
Wise words from Guss another year of his vague predictions then when they become right or wrong he’s right either way and says “ I said that would happen”
I don't think dragons can maintain that physicality all year unless they improve their defence and keep teams to single digits. They love giving away penalties and errors while trying to be physical and that will cost them most games. But in saying that they're underrated and have a solid 1-13. Barring injuries they should absolutely avoid the spoon.
If anyone saw the Tigers v Dragons trial you saw the spooners and its not the Dragons if they run hardvand tackle hard as they did. The Tigers aren't capable of running and tackling hard or scoring points.
Love or hate him, I could listen to Gus talk for hours about anything really. There’s something about him that keeps me engaged.
Gus is boring he talks crap
@@jodieheffernan6634 Everyone’s different.
