Matt: could please make a video of your favorite baits for the tush and hover strolling compiled into one video listing your favorite colors, sizes for both techniques? I know you have several videos but would love seeing a compilation of it all.
Usually ice fishing by now, but it’s fishing for ice this year. I’ve been hitting some ponds in my area of south Michigan seeing if anything will bite. My boats up for the winter. I’ve been getting some bass and pike on pre rigged worms any color👍you talked about them on a video a week or two ago and I haven’t fished one in years, thanks for suggesting it just the thing in these cold still water👍
Good info as usual! I recently got RUclips TV and they had all the Invitational programs from last year. Really enjoyed watching your La Crosse win today!
I remember fishing with a ex boss of mine and I watched him hook a seat in a pontoon boat at someone's dock. Things happen and the last time I was bass fishing I was trying out some different reals and I looked I was fishing for squirrels myself.
It’s amazing how many snags or hang ups are actually the line. Fishing from the bank I don’t always have the best angle into brush or wood. More often than not I’m casting perpendicular over the brush / wood pile which ends with line snags. So frustrating because the times I can’t get the line out and it breaks I then watch my bait fall freely into the water.
Thank you Matt, i dont know what it is with a jig but i get them hung up so fast.I fish them the same as a texas rig,or shaky head. The only thing i can think of is i usually throw a 3/8 or 1/2 oz jig usually a 1/4 or less on texas rigs and shakey heads.Going to try a lighter jig to see if that helps.I dont get it everyone talks about how they throw them in wood.i get hung up everytime . Any thoughts? Like i said i fish them the same way as texes rigs and have no problems with them. Thanks again.
100% weedless? Sounds like a challenge 😂. What I would like is baits that don't snag rocks so much. I lost a pile of jig heads and soft plastics since July when I moved to the Chesapeake Bay area. So far the Texas Eye, Snake Locks and the weighted EWG hooks have been the best around rocks but I still lose some. And of course they're more expensive than a regular jig head. One bait that is very weedless is the Johnson Silver Minnow spoons and spoons like them. I don't have any luck catching fish on them, but I don't get snagged 😂. The problem I've had with swim baits with belly weighted hooks is missing bites. They're a little bit harder to set the hook than regular jigs but at times they're the best choice for not snagging. Z Man has some new weighted EWG hooks with special plastic barbs for their soft plastics and I want to try them. Sometimes Z Man soft plastics are great.
Thought for the day: Why do lures get called "weedless" but not "snagless"? Perhaps the next great marketing strategy will introduce the "snagless" lure category? Just a thought. 👍🇺🇸

Jigs tend to hang more than Texas rigs. Try a bulkier trailer

Great video.
Thanks!
Getting a frog back from a tree???? Mine usually ends up wrapped around 15-20 times with a half hitch knot!! 😂 Any video on how to get that back??? 😂
Haha
Keep a chainsaw in the boat
Matt , did u see the New Zoo Dogs from snag proof ?
I’ll check them out
There's a lot of wood where I fish so I fish almost exclusively weedless presentations. Exposed hooks always kill me.
can get rustrating!

I’ve wondered that as well
Tube bait
Tube baits catch them
Yep and flipping tubes are about as weedless as you can get. I throw them in the nastiest of stuff and it comes through everything.@@MattStefanFishing
I recently bought some myself and would love a video on all the different colors
Awesome
Thanks!
Is core tackle going to come out with a smaller ozark rig?
Yep we just put into production 2/0 and 3/0 models
That’s awesome. Can’t wait to get them
👍👍👍👍👍
