The tech may be there, but IMO they are really pushing the envelope on pricing for the NMS. Coming in at $105 for 5L works out to about $1.24/wash if you use 2oz per wash AND buy it 5L at a time. Considering GSF already sits at the upper end of the market @ $85 for 5L works out to $1.00/wash. I can see the thought process of skipping the toppers, but you can still get under that $1.24/wash WITH a topper and good quality Shampoos/Snow Foams. On the contrary, that Af is going to go nuts IMO. They're going to give us an Alkaline pre-wash, which stays in the pH range of most all coatings at $52/5L or $0.30/oz. Considering how well that stuff foams at 1oz, 1oz/wash is easily doable. So I can pre-wash my vehicle for $0.30, then come back with a pH neutral soap in the $0.20/oz (Adams) - $0.45/oz (Griots), top it in the $0.30/oz (Dreammaker) - (Wet Coat) $0.70/oz range and get everything for the around the same price per wash of ONLY using NMS. Looks like a great product and I'm sure the paid-tubers are about to go nuts on trying to sell us the NMS, but man that price is stiff. Great video.

Yup. That’s the correct way to say it. I keep reverting back to the way every else says it. Same with Gyeon. It’s supposed to be pronounced with a hard “G” like “gone”. But we also say Gee-On. Funny how pronunciations work.

Hi. Thanks. I don’t use dedicated TFR products but basically they just high ph APC’s. You can use those in a foam cannon or IK foamer like we do. We only use them on initial details that need deep cleaning before protection is applied or polishing and ceramic coatings.
Another great video, Phil. Very informative and great products from KC. I have them as well. Going to add the active foam wash to my arsenal. Only have one question, does the FSE have a water beading ingredient in it or is it just a topper to help remove water spots?
Hi. Thanks! Great question. It doesn’t have protection in it. And it’s not to be used all the time on waxes, sealants, and even coatings because it is a low ph and can stay to break down protection. It should be used sparingly. 😎👍🏼
@@MirandaDetailing Phil, you think it would be ok to use say, P&S Bead Maker after you have used the FSE? Or some other topper? Like Meguiar's ceramic Detailer or the Ceramic Wax spray.
I've seen some mobile details presoak with really thick foam since they wash the wheels during the dwell time. Do you think that is a good way to approach this scenario of a really dirty vehicle, presoak, clean wheels, rinse, then contact wash?
Hi. Oh yeah totally! Each Detailer will develop their own way or methods. True we start by copying what others do but then later adapt and evolve to suite your specific style and way of doing things. 😎👍🏼
Hi. Yes that’s what it was formulated for. It adds a layer of Ceramic protection. It’s a maintenance shampoo. It add more beading if that’s what you want. Any maintenance shampoo or ceramic spray is going to add to the hydrophobics of the coating not interfere with them.
Would like to know what you think if we were to compare Koch Chemie Active Foam and Gtechniq W4 Citrus Foam soaps? I know KC is more alkaline but not extreme, and Gtechniq is neutral but with that citrus addition, also great for grime and tar. Would like your opinion on them. Great video, thanks!!!
I just got me the IK Foam Pro 12 and the IK Foam 2, the Koch Chemie Active Foam and ohh boy, I look like a child with new toys, I am even using this soap with the Foamer to treat the shower walls (playing around inside the house with it too) and I am in love with it, smells amazing and Phill, I also have allergies to a lot of perfumes and scents, but man, Sandalwood scent is amazing. I am with you as far as even using less, still foams like crazy, 1 oz per gallon of water.
It’s not that strong, but I would only reserve it if/when you have water spot issues. Otherwise I would stick with regular detailers or ceramic toppers.
It all depends on the filth of the vehicle. It will still clean well, but of course some dirt, mud, traffic film may still remain. I never go that low of a dilution anyway. I only do 1:10 which usually is 2-3 oz per 32oz bottle. That foams up well and cleans well
diluted 1:10, in ik foam 12, it makes a heavier and drier foam that falls quickly (it doesn't stick for 5 minutes).. is it still able to soften the dirt in that short time?
@@MirandaDetailingI bought super foam, and it was 70 degrees today my panels were cool but had some etching on my windshield and black top. Any recommendations? Lol should i stick to getting active foam maybe? Was looking for a good strip wash to test for clients but a bit scared to use super foam unless it’s a cooler day now 😂
@@ArthurMSoto Hi. That’s a strong soap. I don’t use soaps to strip anything. I use strong soaps to add to my cleaning if needed but that’s it. If you want to make sure the paint is stripped of any previous protection I wouldn’t rely on the soap. I would just give the paint a quick polish with a medium pad and polish. That can actually go pretty fast and you get better results. Or you could just use a strong panel wipe if you don’t want to polish.
@@MirandaDetailing Yeah… I’m starting to realize i messed up thinking that. It’s all a learning process! In that case I’ll save it for cloudy days and experiment with. Thanks for the responses your content helps a ton.
Hi. You can use either one actually to wash with. I sometimes pre wash with our typical APC rinse and then use either super foam or active foam, foam it down and contact wash it. If the vehicle has good protection skip the APC rinse and just use active to foam and contact wash.
@MirandaDetailing Thanks! I've been using Gyeon Foam, which does well but a bit pricey. Just looking for a little bit more touchless than a neutral foam that may not be as effective. I'll give GSF a shot.
@MirandaDetailing I "try" to alternate weeks with contact washing. I wash about weekly, so it's just road grime. Generally, I apply Gyeon Foam to dry car, then rinse, then foam MTM Foamtastic and rinse (or contact wash).
Good question. I’ll have to ask KCX. Since it’s also a detailer type product I would assume the chemistry allow for it to evaporate and neutralize. But I’ll ask. 😎👍🏼
Thanks for very informing video! Could you tell me please: I have Q2 Mohs coating on my car, and it is written that it is resistant to ph levels from 2 up to 11. Does it mean that I should not use Sfn Superfoam on this coating, because it has ph 12? Or I can use it for grimy areas as prerince, for example, lower parts of doors and fenders?
How good is cook Kimmy FSE actually as a hard water spot remover? Is it comparable to 3D gel water spot remover? The car pro products I've tried descale we're virtually worthless when I use them. If this FSE really works please let me know.
Phil when would you usually use FSC what type of application is it after you wash car is it in place of an sio to is it strictly as a detailer and if I heard him correctly he said it prevents water spots is all that correct and if so please let me know how and when you actually apply it.
So its basically a quick detailer that has a ph of around 2ish. So the formula helps dissolve fresh water spots. It doesn't prevent water spots from future water on the paint, it prevents the water spots from forming immediately after a wash.
"Apologizes... Jason's mic died..." Grammer bruh, grammer! Yes I misspelled it purposely. LOL! I am hoping GloveBox sends out some Koch Chemie stuff soon. By the way, Koch is pronounced "Coke" in American and "Koh-kh" in German. The KH is like hocking sound you make before a spit and collecting the boogie film from the back of your throat. And man, he came all the way from PA... oof! Must've been a crazy drive with all that traffic.
How long can a vehicle sit outside with the green pollen film from trees sitting on it without any damage being done? I am too busy to wash my vehicle frequently and need to find time to keep up on it better how often do you wash your own car ? Does it always sit outside ?

It all depends on the filth of the vehicle. It will still clean well, but of course some dirt, mud, traffic film may still remain. I never go that low of a dilution anyway. I only do 1:10 which usually is 2-3 oz per 32oz bottle. That foams up well and cleans well

Hi. The GSF is not really a pre wash soap. I would use their Active Foam or Super Foam because they are stronger cleaners.
@@ArthurMSoto no worries it’s good to learn from what happens.
Would you use Koch Aw or af as a shampoo as a contact wash, snow foam application.
Hi. You can use either one actually to wash with. I sometimes pre wash with our typical APC rinse and then use either super foam or active foam, foam it down and contact wash it. If the vehicle has good protection skip the APC rinse and just use active to foam and contact wash.
@@MirandaDetailing active foam can be used as a shampoo too as well as a prewash stage. ?
If mixed at 100:1 ratio is KC Active Foam's pH safe for weekly maintenance washes on a ceramic coated car with minimal grime?
Yeah it will be fine. But I would just use their Gentle snow foam instead, no need to use a stronger soap if it’s not that dirty.
@MirandaDetailing Thanks! I've been using Gyeon Foam, which does well but a bit pricey. Just looking for a little bit more touchless than a neutral foam that may not be as effective. I'll give GSF a shot.
@CTTH100 Oh I see. Are you simply foaming and rinsing and not contact washing?
@MirandaDetailing I "try" to alternate weeks with contact washing. I wash about weekly, so it's just road grime. Generally, I apply Gyeon Foam to dry car, then rinse, then foam MTM Foamtastic and rinse (or contact wash).
Sup Phil !
When will the Warehouse have the Active Foam 5L in stock?
Hopefully soon!
Hey Phil Koch All Around ceramic coating any date set for the US when it will be available to order for DIY or just Detailers?
Note yet but hopefully this year. It will be a consumer coating available for anyone
@@MirandaDetailing thank you KMP!!!
No reason to neutralize the fse if it's acidic?
Good question. I’ll have to ask KCX. Since it’s also a detailer type product I would assume the chemistry allow for it to evaporate and neutralize. But I’ll ask. 😎👍🏼
Link for the bottle measure cup?

can u name a few prewash soaps thats safe on coatings
The KCX active foam is safe on coatings. Or the DIYDetails incredible suds is also great.
BEst video of 2022 : like the tip for Koch chemie FSE
Thanks for very informing video! Could you tell me please: I have Q2 Mohs coating on my car, and it is written that it is resistant to ph levels from 2 up to 11. Does it mean that I should not use Sfn Superfoam on this coating, because it has ph 12? Or I can use it for grimy areas as prerince, for example, lower parts of doors and fenders?
You’re welcome. You can use the high oh soap sparingly if you notice it needs more cleaning power. But I wouldn’t use it on a regular basis.
@@MirandaDetailing Got it, thank you for the answer!
How good is cook Kimmy FSE actually as a hard water spot remover? Is it comparable to 3D gel water spot remover? The car pro products I've tried descale we're virtually worthless when I use them. If this FSE really works please let me know.
It’s not a heavy spot remover. It’s just for minor spots left over from washing. The 3D gel is still one of my favorites
🏆
Great video
Phil when would you usually use FSC what type of application is it after you wash car is it in place of an sio to is it strictly as a detailer and if I heard him correctly he said it prevents water spots is all that correct and if so please let me know how and when you actually apply it.
So its basically a quick detailer that has a ph of around 2ish. So the formula helps dissolve fresh water spots. It doesn't prevent water spots from future water on the paint, it prevents the water spots from forming immediately after a wash.
Coating
PH level won’t matter once the product is diluted into a 5gal bucket. Even at 10L to 50ml, the PH drops drastically.
That’s true, that’s why we never foam up the bucket as our wash bucket. We foam it on, still it dilutes it but not as much.
Infomercial?
🤣
"Apologizes... Jason's mic died..." Grammer bruh, grammer! Yes I misspelled it purposely. LOL!
I am hoping GloveBox sends out some Koch Chemie stuff soon. By the way, Koch is pronounced "Coke" in American and "Koh-kh" in German. The KH is like hocking sound you make before a spit and collecting the boogie film from the back of your throat.
And man, he came all the way from PA... oof! Must've been a crazy drive with all that traffic.
🤣😎👍🏼
How long can a vehicle sit outside with the green pollen film from trees sitting on it without any damage being done? I am too busy to wash my vehicle frequently and need to find time to keep up on it better how often do you wash your own car ? Does it always sit outside ?
Letting it sit for weeks isn’t good. As long as it’s washed every two weeks or so.
@@MirandaDetailing how often do you wash your own ? Does it sit outside a lot
I wash ours about every two weeks. It sits outside about 75% of the time.
@@MirandaDetailing what do you think about a bed liner/ Line X full paint job on a truck? Keeping mine outside and being to busy to do my own all the time or store it properly the paint gets damaged quick birds etc my coating is toast from the trees and birds would eliminate polishing
Wonder if it would be easy to maintain a full line X job just rinse it have your ever done a vehicle like this ?
We have washed jeeps that have had the entire exterior painted with line-X. Basically you just have to rinse, foam and rinse it off.
