My favorite detailing channel! I'm all in on this approach. Simple. Cheap. Less Clutter. Less Trash. This is the way...
Thank you. I really appreciate it
No offense to this RUclips channel but you should really check out Wilson Auto Detailing. He's way more about his business. In my opinion, using products like Koch Chemie is fine for the enthusiast but if you are trying to make a business out of cleaning cars, then you care less about high end products and focus on the products that work. I fail to see how Koch Chemie Greenstar is superior to Meguiar's APC or Super Clean. Meguiar's is $21 a gallon. Super Clean is $10 a gallon. Meguiar's can be diluted 10:1. Super Clean 5:1. So why spend $65 for 1.25 gallons of Koch Chemie Greenstar instead? Is it *that* much better? Of course not.
It's fun to see channels like this, or Pan the Organizer, try to sell hobbyists expensive chemicals but it's 100% not necessary. That being said, we all have our preferences. I, for example, like the Turtle Wax Hybrid line that Pan covered extensively. It's pretty much unnecessary once you find out about Technician's Choice Ceramic Wax or Formula 4 Spray Wax, which can be applied with a spray bottle while the car is still soapy to eliminate the possibility of water spots. But we like what we like. So I get spending money on products just because you like them. Just be sure you know the cheap and the expensive methods. I really can't recommend Wilson Auto Detailing and IMJOSHV enough.
@@RictorIAG I’m telling you Koch chemie products are great and especially products like green star or multi star are super dilutable and strong. I wouldn’t really say much about a product unless you’ve tried it. Just because a product can do the same things doesn’t mean it’s better, or even the same thing “because it’s cheaper”. A lot of times those “cheaper” products cost more. Koch Chemie started from an industrial process, tunnel washes, body shops, etc.
@@RictorIAG There are some products that knock it out the park and are worth the extra $. Many get the job done but seem to be all the same sh$t in a different bottle. Cost effectiveness from a business standpoint absolutely. Luke Wilson hell no. He is the shamwow guy reincarnate. He’s selling an amwayish dream in a nightmarish fashion. Put me in a room with multiple screens playing his vids and a shotgun and I don’t make it 10min.
Wilson detailing and man the advertiser are just content creators. I don’t consider them pros. They would never be able to qualify for any pro grade ceramics let alone Carpro which is one of the hardest to qualify for only 1% that apply get to use Carpro
I dont think people realize how important this video is. It can be a huge component in their profit strategy.
'Cotch Kemmy'😂Greenstar is absolutely fantastic. I use it in two pump sprayers, one at 50:1 for bug removal and most other jobs, and the other at 10:1 for dirty undersides, tyres and neglected alloys. It's the only cleaner I need for washing nowadays. I own the 11 litre square barrel and I've only used about a quarter of it in about 4 years. Very economical. It works great on alloys as I find it does not leave flash corrosion on the discs/rotors and make calipers dull like most other APC's can.
I agree. Thanks for sharing your thoughts and watching the channel.
Love the break out man. Very informative with the ratios. Not many RUclipsrs put the dilution ratios.
Glad it was helpful!
Greenstar has become one of my favorite products to use in cleaning. I was blown away the first time at it's ability to tackle problem areas. I love using this product on areas that see the most road grime.
Yeah it’s a good APC for sure.
Is this product also uv protectant?
@@christianacevedo9959 no but you can get top star
Love how you make detailing cool and fun, and not a chore Brother!
Thanks I appreciate it

You remind me of that dude from the movie "Half-Baked" when they deliver him a bag of bud and he says have you ever got high and watch the back of a $20 dollar bill or got high and relaxed and watched the stars. Your voice sounds like that dude bad man.😊😅😂lmmao
I laughed my socks off at this video. Thanks Jeremy. Great channel. Making detailing relaxing and fun.
Thanks for watching. I appreciate it
I've got some GreenStar on its way to me now, can't wait to play around with it.
Yeah it’s some good stuff.
Im certainly ordering Gs. It just seems to cut out so many overpriced products that are the same thing in different bottle. Cant be ordering bug sprays, tire cleaners, engine bay cleaners and bunch of other stuff to enjoy occasional home wash without spending 100€ every time I am missing few products. Also these safe products just get you diluted down thing that is safe for the price of full 1l bottle of Gs that can multiply the times you can use it. Love Koch Chemie for their simplicity even though it took me a second to figure out what each cleaner is for. No need to buy their other stuff with GS for now since I want to get the basics down first before I go further.
This was the exact video I was looking for. Thank you!
A detailer with a great sense of humor too, it's always a pleasure to watch any of your post here on youtube...laughing and learning about new products and techniques!!!! from Raleigh, NC
Thank you. I appreciate it
Straight to the point video with a couple different tips and products. Good job sir!
Thanks.
Even tho I’ve been using Green star for the last 4 years now this video is still very informative.
Thanks.
Love this channel this guy makes complete business sense. Keeps its simple yet very effective.
Thanks
Watching this now. Love this channel! You cover all the bases! Thanks for putting the dilution ratios exactly on here for us. Some put the 1:5 1:10(My math skills suck) You provide how much to put in, in ounces! Thank You. I have KC/GSF and love it. It works well. I'll have to try Green Star. Hope You're having a nice weekend.
Thanks Jay. I like playing with the chemistry. This is some good stuff too. Thanks for watching
If you need to save even more money, Superclean comes in 1 gallon size for under $10 in retail stores and they have a dilution chart available online. You can also try your own dilution ratios depending on how dirty your car is. I doubt you need to use very much at all for maintenance cleaning. The company doesn't recommend it for washing the paint, but you can try to use it like a bug/tar remover as shown in the video. It will probably strip wax coatings off your car (but all degreasers will do that, they are supposed to do that)
Personally, I recommend getting a car shampoo, a wheel+tire cleaner and then use diluted Superclean for all the other parts of your car. You can find car shampoos and wheel+tire cleaners in gallon size as well.
I'm just getting started with self detailing. However I have both koch chemie green star and super clean, they both won't disappoint you!!!
Never use super clean on interiors
@@roninbushitofacts fam
This is my go to for Pre rinsing, wheels, hugs, and interior fabric stains. Very versatile! Very powerful.
Yes I agree. Thanks for watching
I usually do 3oz of GSF and 2oz of GS in the foam cannon and it’s super effective and has a ton of bite. The car basically rinses perfectly clean after letting the foam sit for a few minutes, even on a car that only has drying aid as protection
Thanks for sharing.
Do u use them for the bucket as well?
@@TheDramaHouse23 just regular shampoo in the bucket
@slat Do you use that formula for frequent maintenance washes? Looking for something weekly on a coated car.
@@CTTH100 yeah every wash! Coated my truck a year ago with Gyeon Mohs Evo and it hasn’t made a dent in the coating’s water behavior
Dude this video is legit. I got some Gs just to have for tougher areas as needed and love how you present various scenarios here. Cheers.
Thanks
I had to say that a few times, encapsulate, lubricate so I can agitate. Love these videos
Thanks. Hahaha. I know what you mean.
lol I know. My other favorite of his is minimal amount of “suction reduction” :)
Great channel - love you energy! Keep it up, look forward to many more videos.
Thank you.
How does this compare to super clean? Or mcguires detailer apc?
Man I love koch chemie green star. Been using it for years. This is the type of product chemical guys don't want you to know about. You can replace 15 product with one way cheaper product that dose the same thing. If not even better. Cheers.
Thanks. I agree. Thanks for watching
@@joshm2243 completely agree my man. That's why the only chemical guys product I have is an air fresher that I got in a gift. Like you said there is just to much bs products that seem watered out...
Man I could watch your video everyday over and over 😆 so much fun to watch 👈🏾.... awesome video as always
Thank you. I really appreciate it
apc, enhancer, and interior cleaner is all you really need for a detail if you want to save
Yes. Thanks
The way you talking love it ,💯👏🏼
Thanks.
APC = jack of all trades, master of none. I prefer more dedicated cleaners for wheels, carpet/upholstery and leather. APC will still work for these, as you showed.
Yeah. Ready to use products are great. Thanks for watching
I agree with the op to a point. Like, for example, upholstery cleaning. Most, if not all, “detailing” upholstery products are just not effective. Exactly why I exclusively use Bio Break (from Bridgepoint) on all upholstery when it needs to be addressed. I can’t even count the times I’ve refused to clean upholstery because it just didn’t need it. It’s also why I don’t use glass cleaning products, because nothing has worked better for me than isopropyl mixed with distilled water. Sure, colored and nice smelling cleaners are great but … are they really effectively cleaning? I find most of them just streak and leave residue behind. I’ll stick to what works for me.
It’s true, you CAN use 1 product to do almost everything and you’ll see good results. However, unless you see the same vehicles week after week, you’re never going to know if you’re doing more harm than good … so why risk it? It’s why I say; use acid when you need to, use alkaline when you need to, use ph balanced when you need to. Least aggressive is usually best.
😊😊😊
This was a vintage Hawaii Detailing production man, your showcase was amazing showing all the possible uses of such a versatile product really sweet man nice. I remember you vividly saying months ago “I DONT WANNA MIX A MARGARITA MAN” the reason i remember, is because I laughed my ass off at that comment, expanding our horizons definitely make us wise, I applaud you for that. SUB TO THIS MAN YALL this is real deal no bias genuine guy👌🏼🫡
Thanks a lot for the support. I appreciate it for sure. Glad you enjoyed the video.yeah I have to say I like adding the green star to my arsenal.
The APC is not harmful on the paint when mixing it 1:1 ratio? I noticed you did that for your contact wash
Always be careful how you use aggressive cleaners. Check out this page for my dilutions. www.hawaiidetailing.com/dillution

Greetings. Thanks for watching the channel.
Just subscribed, I was searching for tricked out pressure washer garage solutions and found your channel.
I ended up watching more of your stuff. I have to tell you I really like the way you do your videos.
You keep them short and sweet but fun and with all the important info someone would need searching for a solution.
So many channels have like 25 min videos and they keep repeating the same thing over and over and its so painful.
The other thing I like is your intro is also short and sweet and you get into the video. Some intros are so long I feel like i'm watch a tv commercial.
Keep up the good work. You are one of a very few people that has nailed the perfect balance.
You don't just ramble for days just to here yourself talk.

Awesome content as usual. Thanks Jeremy.

Whatever the appropriate thing is, that’s exactly the right thing. Regardless of tool, machine, product or opinion.
I’ve been detailing a long time. Doesn’t make me an expert but it does give me perspective. While providing an excellent detail, the ONLY important thing to do is be profitable. That means using ONLY what you need WHEN you need it. Nothing more, nothing less. When you’re doing your thing on your vehicles, none of that matters. Jeremy knows what I’m talking about.
I am NOT saying that all you need is Super Clean to detail a vehicle. CAN you? Sure. It’s just not appropriate even if exponentially profitable. Detailing is largely mitigating risk/damage. Finding the tools and products that best work for you is part of that.
What I am saying is that you don’t NEED a Kranzle, Rupes, boutique detailing products, expensive brushes or towels or whatever. You NEED what works best for you to deliver excellent results while remaining profitable … what ever that is. If that includes Kranzle, Rupes, etc., then that’s exactly right.
😊😊😊
I agree Skull. That’s spot on. I just wanted to give you a shout out in the vid. Hahahahaha
@@HawaiiDetailing Always willing to insert MY opinions. Right or wrong. I appreciate the efforts you make to educate and inspire.

Yes they are a pretty standard dilution. Always test in an inconspicuous area to make sure you are happy with the results to avoid any potential damaging of sensitive surfaces.

Bug and tar remover but removed dirt.
Tar will not come off with APC. U need special product.
$60 for gallon of APC is ripoff. I been using superclean. Works wonder
Yeah man. Do what makes you happy. I get it. I have super clean too. Not a fan of using it on high end interiors myself but that does not mean you can’t. Also a $60 jug of GS will last most people a very long time. At these dilution ratios how cheap do you really need to go? Where you want to be with the cost and quality of your products is a personal decision. Thanks for sharing your thoughts.
🦷🏴☠️Thanks for all the mixing ratios . You don’t want too much teeth
Hahaha. Thanks for watching
do you use that rim sealant on TRD rims?
Do you have to use distilled water for interior? What's the downside to using mineral water? 🤔
Im new to this so I dont know much.
Mineral water has minerals in it that can leave spots when it dries. It also shortens the shelf life of mixed solutions
Great content and very helpful. Thank you

Great job Jeremy. I love me some GS! Have you had a go and tried Pol Star as well?
I have not. I plan to bring in some.
for tires, does it strip the black color from the tires? Surely it'll get them clean but don't want it to be so strong that it strips color. Had that happen with Turtle Wax Hybrid Solutions Wheel and Tire, stripped color from my Kumho AT52s.
Never had that happen but dilute it down if you want it to be less aggressive.
Most likely what you saw was residue left behind from that cheap cleaner.
@@yanniobkirk5744 nope that was 4 months ago on that tire and it’s still the same and I clean my wheels and tires weekly. That same cleaner I used for years on other vehicles and tires

What did u use for the bucket method?
How long can you keep the ratio in the bottle? Will the quality be reduced over time? Lets say 1:20 ratio, only used 50%. Can you use it again couple weeks later?
Couple of weeks no problem. Shake before use to make sure it mixed
Thanks for taking the time to answer!@@HawaiiDetailing

How safe is this on leather? Would you do 1:20 ratio for leather, or water it down even more?

Pol Star for leather.
