- Recently I had seen this knife trending on RUclips and I started to question, how good was this knife that a lot of people were talking about. Some people are saying this knife is too good for the price that it’s flying off the shelves at Walmart. So in today’s video we’ll go over the Specifications and we’ll put the knife to the test. Hope you enjoy the video, and if you do, don’t forget to hit that like and subscribe button!

I’ve been cutting boxes for 2 weeks since it came out. Haven’t had to sharpen. I will never think of knives the same. That said I will still pay for better materials
3:16 NEVER cut towards yourself like that. That's one of the first rules my dad taught me. I got cut pretty bad when I was cutting towards myself when I was young.
I get not cutting toward yourself but his thumb was like 2-3 inches above where the knife was striking not to mention he wasn’t hitting hard enough to blow straight through the wood. Shits gonna be okay with what he was doing
I just got one about an hour ago. Opened the box and it easily shaved the hair off my arm. I’ve gotten plenty of knives that have come dull straight out of the box so it impressed me. Not the greatest knife in the world, but seems solid. We’ll see how it holds up at work.
I picked up four of those OTs. Three are still sitting in my knife drawer. One had a little stick in the lock but after playing with it for a while it worked itself out.
I've been carrying one for a month and it does pretty damn good with what I have thrown at it so far. Still shaving sharp.
Been cutting paper, cardboard, opening boxes, blister packages, heavy plastic bags with the twine reinforcement, string, small rope, cut up old t-shirts for rags, and sharpened a few pencils.
I even cut through a soda can just to see how well it would do.
It was like cutting butter in death valley in early August at high noon.
I may have missed a few things it has been used on so far.
For $10, it is a beast.
After searching I finally found the last one available. This knife is awesome.
I hought the 4 pack and free shipping all 4 knives came sharp and ready to use. Also makes nice gifts for a kids first knife.
Your lawn maintenance workers/landscapers are gonna be like what the hell happened to the shrubery.
2:50 Yours looks like mine. Mine is noticeably darker orange on one side.
The handle does feel cheap but it feels better then most other $10 knifes
THIS is a knife test/review, not just in a desk cutting paper like all others channels😅
Best $10 you can spend on a knife right now. I bought one and then 5 more when I saw how good it actually was. I knew they would sell out like the first Ozark Trail axis lock, so I wanted to have replacements if I lost or broke mine. Not to gouge folks with high resale prices.
I love this knife my only regret is not buying two. Once i realized how great the knife was(literally one day) it was already sold out.
Great review
Yes I love this OT D2 and can’t wait to give out the other 3 as Christmas gifts to my son and close friends. What I learned is not to pry things with it because the blade is thinner than the Benchmade Bugout, and the OT blade will break. However is it worth spending so much more for a Benchmade? I love Benchmade knives but when a $10 knife is this good, how should companies like Benchmade react? They need to respond to the market, either lower their prices or raise the bar, maybe do both? Fierce competition, same thing happening to Leatherman. China’s manufacturing is getting better and they predicted that would happen.
it's no benchmade killer but it's definitely injured them
I have one and I think it is a steal at the price. I have more expensive knives that are not as good. I agree about the scales tho.
Ganzo 924, 925, 727s and Kershaw Misdirect. All of these are better built but on initial action all of those knives are still not equal to the Ozark trail and they are all at least twice as much. These are just some of my more budget knives.
It's well worth 10 bucks but it's no Benchmade killer..
Thanks for the review !
It's hard to beat for the price!
Great review! I appreciate the effort...new subscriber 😉
You put it through a tough test. I just used mine at work to open boxes, cut nylon straps, and cut cardboard. After a couple of weeks I noticed the blade had noticable up and down and side to side wobble. It would tighten up slightly if I rotated the locking bar. The other thing I noticed was the blade is no longer as centered in the handle as it was when I got it.
End of the day it's a $10. Knife. Is it worth driving all over town to get? Absolutely not. Is it worth an additional $6.99 to ship it to your house? Absolutely not. There are better knives for the same money or $5. more.
I was happy to see the Kershaw Hotwire come back in stock. Not so happy that it's now $14.97 up from $9.97 It's my EDC knife. Like it so much I snatched one up at the 15 dollar price.
$20 on eBay is the cheapest you’ll find right now.
Almost all my knives are Ozark Trail
Great vid!!!👍🙏
I’m glad I bought 12 of these 😎
I wonder whether the next run of them will cost $20 and be trash knives. I wouldn't put that past Walmart or a Chinese manufacturer.
That's not just Walmart or even Chinese companies, that's almost every company on earth. If something sells well, they will definitely raise the price. If they get a good enough reputation and some brand loyalty, they'll definitely start cutting corners and lowering the quality, relying on people to buy it anyway. There are a few companies with owners that actually take pride in their products and service, but most will do the least required to make a profit.
I returned it as soon as I bought it. The lock didn’t work
Give us a link to the knife!
Does anyone have a solution for the blade wobble these have? Every ozark I've bought has had solid blades except this one. I love the knife. I really think if I bought a bugout I'd kick myself .
Just tighten it if you have the tool. Honestly, it's made to just buy another when it wears down. They should make it so, if you send your knife back, they would send you a new one at a discount. After watching the video, these are probably best used as disposable throwing knives once they take so much damage.
@@Kev32411 can't tighten them. They're tightened all the way.
It looks just like the bench made look up the bench made packet night and you’ll see that it’s almost identical
Been looking for one for weeks. Can’t found one. Help
How much does it weigh?
Could have sworn I typed in a comment a few minutes ago. I guess I didn't.
Are the big channels ignoring this knife ?
The big knife only channels have so far. Some tool/edc channels have covered it.
Ozark Trail equals Walmart trash.
Made in America for $10. Times are changing!
Made in China
@@dyoel182 Nah, that’s a coverup. There made in Ohio, out of dogs.
$10 chinese knife, no more no less.
A folding knife at any price is Not meant to chop branches. A folding knife is also Not meant to be used as a throwing knife. If you used it as a Folding knife it would be fine.
Testing a knife in ways that it’s not meant to be used, is exactly what we want to see someone do if they going to test and review a knife. Otherwise, their review is just a bunch of hot air, much like your comment.
I bought 6 cases of them, selling for $60 each, going fast. Not really.
Metal toughness has nothing to do with edge retention. You confusing the terms Hard and Tough.
