The reason why you don't go first is because KI made it to where if you go first in a dungeon on the first battle, you go first for every battle in that dungeon and if you go second in a battle you go second the whole time.

Clean up hit i feel is better than trying to go for a one shot cause it feels so bad when you get debuff. And if you soloing its better to chunk the enemy instead of going for one shot
I did this sidequest chain as soon as it was unlocked and MAN was it a ride. The final battle of Hollow Mountain had me worried, but we played to our outs and came out on top (I had a pair of teammates from team up). Not using Treasure Cards makes the game way more entertaining for me.
I think something that helps against bosses that don't really have cheats is monstrology. 2 pips for whatever monstrology minion you want is pretty darn good in the early game if you have a strong minion like from Lemuria. Maybe it would be a good idea to also buy satyr tc's and start off with life pips if you plan on using sandstorm as your main hit
They must have changed the bowls somewhat. Back then it was so painful since the bowls stun, smoke, tower, weakness, etc a lot more often ALONG with the feints instead of just spam donate.
I think the gear was worth it. You lose 1% power pip and some balance block, but you gain 4% balance damage. There were multiple times in this video alone and some recent where enemies were surviving with only a few HP. That extra damage can carry you over that threshold more than 1% PP will.
I did this solo on the balance I made when you started your series, and I got all the way to the last boss and my WiFi cut out and I had to reset it all over again 🫠

FYI, you can tell you get stunned or defeated before it happens if you use a spell that uses mana but the mana doesn't go down.
The amulet for balance from this dungeon is actually op. It's a 75% 20% feint and a 35% balance blade at level 25. Totally ridiculous.

The thing that I find is easiest, especially for balance is just to mass feint and blade and then hit that way you don't have to clean up and hit
