Haha my civic fn2 is in deep bronze and has the hands free Bluetooth telephone kit, red footwell lighting, the sat nav pack, rear parking sensors and the honda bass works pack
@@GeesDrive it never was a common colour, for some reason. I’ve recently refreshed the suspension on mine, but needs a body work refresh now. Mine has seen heavy daily use, but has stood up well
@@TregTube My old man bought one new back in the day (black) and I vaguely recall the dealer in Chesterfield had the bronze pearl in stock at the time. I'm a big fan of the silver and later blue too. I think they prefer a bit of daily usage, good to hear it's getting a refresh too 👍
@@GeesDrive yes I like the silver and blue ones too! I kind of want one of each colour 😂 Funny how you remember stuff from when they were new because your old man had one. I worked for a Honda dealer when they came out, and I never thought I’d be buying one so cheap only a few years later
Interesting you worked at Honda. I worked at BMW Alpina back in the day and always wanted an E39 B10. Prices are going the wrong way now 😒 Hopefully the FN2's will go the same way.
Previous owner fitted a Type R gear knob to my Type S and, I gotta admit, I'm not keen on how cold it is on winter mornings. Might seem trivial but when it's wet, freezing cold, and dark outside I don't need the gear knob reminding me of it every time I change gear. Might not be as "fancy" but I think I'm going to replace it with a stock Civic gear knob.
I bought mine, 3 previous owners. Came with receipts for no less than 3 induction kits. Standard air box fitted. Looked like new. It’s off again now with what I think must be it’s 4th induction kit. If you only do one mod make it that. It’s a must have item.
You're totally right, definitely needs to be done if even for the noise. Got any recommendations on kits? Seen so many. I suspect mine has had a load of work done what with the fog light intakes, will investigate in the spring.
I just fitted the pipercross one. Fits ok. Makes the same noise as a £550 hks one. I can’t justify the prices hks want. I’d defo picked up a few horses and sounds great with the pipercross.
I wouldn’t bother. The pipercross one is a 10 min job and comes with a heat shield that fits on the lower half of the air box that remains in place. At under £100 was worth doing.
@gf845 You never know what happened in the past, at least yours has some history found. In mine I have the K&N air-filter installed and I love it. Cheaper, but also lightly noticeable and better sound. So much fun now 💪
Mine has the sat/nav and rage alloy's. I'd have liked the front and rear black diffuser. Bought it in 2009 with 20% off as the credit crunch forced Honda onto a 3 day week and the government said they could forgo the VAT. Dealing with the dreaded boot leak at the moment.
My dad had the sav nav option in his FN2. I would be really tempted to retro-fit the nav screen. Thankfully I don't have the dreaded boot leak and sounds like a pain in the butt but my rear lights are looking a bit green around the edges.
this car i will have someday here in the states!!! but todays cost with everything, its roughly 20kUSD jus to get one here. ill have to pass sadly or maybe ill suck it up and pay.. but its nice to see one on your channel you got a sub from me would like to see where this goes!
Thank you, very kind of you. Hopefully you are able to land one there, at least you will be getting the new Civic Type R in the state although they seem quite expensive.
Skunk knob is hands down the best knob out the two.

Deep Bronze is beautiful, especially in the sun. Someone fully spec'd yours out. Is the bass pack any good?
@@GeesDrive yeah speakers are really decent ! Sound system is amazing !
@@25bchris That would be a great retrofit, down another rabbit-hole I go investigating that 😅
@@GeesDrive haha you're very welcome !
Enjoyed seeing someone else mess around with a still vaguely standard FN2! Had my Deep Bronze GT since 2012, such good cars.
Cheers mate, appreciate it. I've got to say Bronze is my absolute fav FN2 colour. Hard to find good ones out there in bronze.

Great idea with shaving the seats ! 😎

Totally agree with you, it's freezing in the winter 😂
Something else to add... Later..
Sills... The Plates... Those are common to deteriorate or look rusty.
Apparently clean OK with Brasso..
Love this mate. Bought an 09 plate gt with a million miles on her lol (160k) not long ago so going along a very similar journey as yourself👌🏽
Great to hear, there's something quite satisfying getting them back up to scratch. Also great name btw 👍😂
How is the engine at that mileage? Anything done? Like timing chain or still original? Cheers
I'd greatly appreciate new videos for this fn2. Many thanks!
Working on 2 updates on the Civic now and another on the X5 coming v.soon 👍

@@GeesDrive Yes that seems a common problem with them as well. I need to look at mine after the leak.
Famous last words, I now have the boot leak and in the drivers footwell after some very heavy rain. Did you get around to sorting out your leak?
Looking at getting the fn2 .got a toyota celica 2004

what paint did you use for touch? car looks great btw :)
Thanks very much! It's just a cheap Milano Red touch up paint pen. Seems to be holding up ok since painting.
What app is that to do list ?
Google notes, but try Notion, that also a good one 👍
