I see a new bike. I was already wondering with the "old" bike whether you have adjusted the seating position ergonomically. Since you ride your bike a lot, I would advise you as a former cyclist to adjust your seating position. So you could save a lot of power. Only 20 minutes into the mountains there are clusters of beautiful spic and span tea fam houses. They all have pretty much the same 4 quadant floor plan, the shop room ground floor left. I pipe dreamed of getting one of those for retirement, but my wife said it is impossible. Allocation is strictly controlled. On the other hand, in my wifes home town in the provinces, house is no problem, nobody wants a standalone house. Everyone wants new condo. Renovation no problem. There are myriads of small home finishing contractors. All condo towers sell the units unfinished. Finishing is a huge business.

Welcome home! New bicycles? (Yellow and blue) Or were they rented bikes? Renting in the countryside is not too difficult in our area although you can never be 100% sure about how contracts will be observed. Buying of course is impossible, unfortunately. Glad the channel will continue, we've missed you. How is the other half doing?

I lived more than 5 years outside of Pingyao 瓶窑 in a little village called Penggong 彭公. It is not
Convenient living in that kind of area and kind of boring. Going to the city took me an hour on good traffic conditions with my own car. Making friends with local villagers is difficult because life is just too different. However I wish you good luck on your endeavors.

Happy to see you back in rural China, Katherine. I always look forward to all your videos. As a loyal subscriber and viewer for over a year I really have to ask you this. I'm not telling you what to do but I do feel like there's a cliff hanger that a lot of us would like you to update us on. Where is Wei?? I can understand if maybe you two broke up and you're just not ready to address it but I think it would be nice if you can update us on it in the near future. For some us, we have been literally following your life for a long time and in my personal opinion, I think you should let us in on what happened. I think it just feels like we are not getting all of Katherine's life even though these videos you make is a lot about your life in China. I know you still have a private life to protect but I hope you understand that having watch Wei in so many of your videos that not seeing him anymore abruptly is leaving us to wonder what happened to him each time I watch your videos. He was in so many of your videos. Kinda weird not seeing him anymore tbh. We need closure too so we can move on. Haha.. Thank you for understanding and as always thank you for making these fantastic videos.

Great video. The rural area looks more vibrant than the village my mom showed me in 2019, which was a ghost town near Guangzhou in SE China (all people emigrated or live in nearby Kaipeng). Loved you showed the insides of the rural houses. It looks like my moms which we couldn't go in (she didn't have key to her abandoned family home). If I had the money, I retire to my mom's home & reno it.

Finding auspicious houses is my specialty and so far limited to myself being the only client 😂😂😂 I am retired after studying so many years with so many verifications of feng shui. It is not an easy job because you don’t know what you have learned is authentic and can weather the test of time.
