@@rawnakjahan697 Protest was started in 1948. The major even took place in February 21, 1952. Result came in 1956 where the then West Pakistan made Bengali as one of the state language of Pakistan. It is the first step towards our independence.

"Ora Amar mukher vasha kaira nite chai" - that reminds us the memory of 21st February of 1952. The Pakistan government wanted us to speak in Urdu. That time many writers protest that by their writings.
The writer wanted to say:
Out father grandfather are taking in Bangla then how would we talk in other language!
We don't want to speak in other language.
