    I like this painting a lot. The way the final addition of the orange-ish Indian yellow compliments the blue sky, and how the water leads the eye into the painting, are so subtle but so effective.

      @PaintingSkies1 thank you so much!!!.
      I absolutely love the sky.
      I do not need to explain a lot i think.
      It is a gift to be able to enjoy the endless change of the cloud formations.
      I am 44 now , and i feeluke a child when i start painting clouds.
      I realized it is possible to learn about it.
      And so i found you in the RUclips ocean.
      Very happy.
      Specially the fact you create sunrise/set , daylight , dark ones.
      Absolutely beautifull!!!!!!

      @PaintingSkies1 so nice!!! .
      Thank you for sharing .
      And thank you from the bottom of my heart for sharing the creation of paintings.
      I love to watch the video,s , and after some efforts , it looks like i get a hold of it.
      A little different , but the new way of approaching the canvas ( cotton) , made it an adventure to just paint em
      I found my passion!!!!!! Now i feel and know , this is what i love to do.
      Besides giving the my wife a huge hug.
      💕🙏

    Very interesting, never thought that a grisaille would also be applicable in this context. Thanks for the upload.

    Beautiful. Do you let the layers completely dry between layers?

    • @PaintingSkies1
      @PaintingSkies1  2 года назад

      Thanks, Dan. Yes, the layers are dry when I do the next one. I use a quick drying medium, Liquin Light Gel (Winsor & Newton). I takes less than 24 hrs before I can paint the next layer.

    I was wondering I have suffered a few small cracks in my painting And I didn't know if it was because it wasn't dry. I have been using liquin original.
    Has this happened to you?

    • @PaintingSkies1
      @PaintingSkies1  2 года назад

      How annoying, Scott. I'm lucky to say I never had similar experiences. Did you use any mediums, other than Liquin, in the same painting?

    The end result seems to give more 'punch' than a typical block in way of painting...although on a screen it's never the best viewing option compared to the real thing! I must say too that the composition is TOP 👌

    • @PaintingSkies1
      @PaintingSkies1  Год назад +1

      You're right, Jonathan, it's hard to judge from a screen. All I can say is, I quite enjoyed it. You should really give it a try, in particular when working on paper. Good to hear you like the composition. Thanks!

      I work on Canson paper for acrylic and oils, size A3. For more details check my RUclips video on doing oil sketches on paper: ruclips.net/video/06RTLaxDFDU/видео.html.
