Thank you for a great video. We have been frustratingly going out every day and connecting to the WiFi manually. Now we know how to use the Bluetooth function we can enjoy the wildlife from the comfort of inside.
I just bought a T80 with wifi and can't find any instructions on the WIFI set up. Your video saved the day! Thank you so much for posting. Your video is a real help with my new camera! Thanks from BC. 🇨🇦😊
Hi. Are you able to view the camera footage from the app when within the bluetooth or wifi range of the trail camera when it is switched to the ON position? Mine can't detect the camera wifi when I hit the wifi button when ON.
You have to be pretty close to connect and effectively transfer files via wifi I would say about 50 feet or so. BT turns on the wifi and then wifi is how you interact with the camera. As I typically make long videos of 400MB I don't attempt to download them via wifi I just check the thumbnails on how its doing and decide when I want to swap out the cards. BB
Could you please explain the Replay button on the Camera? How and when is it used? Does it play videos stored on the SD Card? Also I have never figured out how the zoom works. Thanks
Just purchased a T86 and past 2 nights it's been at my duck pond to capture night time activity. Despite being set at high PIR sens I've had no images (2) or videos (10s) At around 6 mins you suggest the monitoring period is linked to timelapse which I have left turned off. I thought the camera would operate during the monitoring period (which I have set for the hours of darkness) with the PIR sens and save batteries during daylight hours. Could you confirm please, as it's been two nights of frustration! Thanks for the video :)
Thank you. I read that this model uses a different IR spectrum, something like 940nm. Anyway, it’s supposed to be completely invisible to animals, unlike the earlier models that were somewhere 850nm. Have you noticed any improvement in night time stealth? My cam is 850nm, and I know some mammals can see it because they stare at it for 10-15 seconds the first time.
How did you get the WiFi to work with the app? I just got my T85 and learned (after the fact) that the WiFi/Bluetooth feature doesn’t work because the app won’t work with iOS 14. I’m having major regret over my purchase. What’s the difference between the T85 and T86?
I'm using an android phone and the bluetooth works fine - I've used the T86 alot its my new favorite trail camera. The t85 is similar I think, but if it won't work on an I-phone you are out of luck. It says this on Amazon about the T86: Tips You Need Know: The upgraded IOS 14 system NOT compatible with the Bluetooth Function. We would offer free software updating. So it sounds like they have a fix but you need an upgrade. I'd check with customer support first. BB
How long do the batteries last in the CamPark T86? Their documentation says that rechargeable are not supported. However, will they still work? If so, how long?
Thank you for this helpful video. I used my cam for the first time last night and used up all the battery life so I probably have a setting adjustment that needs to be made. I did get a few good videos of a raccoon family though. I downloaded them but now can’t find them to upload to social media. How do I do that without having to take the card out? Thanks again.
Great Review! I have one question though. I recently purchased this same camera. I have it set to record 45 seconds worth of video, no photos. My day time videos always seem to record the full length of 45 seconds. However, my night time videos often record a lot shorter, like 5 to 10 seconds. Do you know why this might be happening?
At night with video it runs all the IR lights which is a drain on batteries and the videos will stop when voltage drops or else they are dark. Batteries do drain fast if your getting a lot of triggers at night. You can switch to economy PIR which wont give you as much distance, but I'm usually close up. Anyway I've switched to this solar unit at Amazon amzn.to/2PytSre its cheaper and better than Camparks solar unit. No more expensive batteries. You have to use high quality batteries and video drains them fast. BB
I finally am able to connect WiFi to my android phone. It shows in my WiFi settings that it’s connected but when I go back to the app, it looks for the WiFi and says it’s not connected. Bluetooth is connected. Any ideas on what could be the problem. The app never opens up to show what’s on the camera.
@@MyBackyardBirding thank you for the quick response its much appreciated and will have a look at solar batteries. Bought a T85 after watching your video.
