Definitely one of the reasons I connected with you better man. It's always better when people have a story attached to their success rather then just "life was great and now I'm doing awesome". Mad respect man 💪💯
whoa. I just randomly came across this video. Nick... we graduated in the same Ranger class. I have that same picture hanging on my wall too. I'm the fifth guy from the right in the top row. Which companies were you in?
Man looking at those pictures, freaking awesome! Shows how hard your grinding in order to grow and build. So inspirational sir! Hooah! Also, your videos are getting so much better, loving the edits brother! Keep it up!
I was already thin before Ranger School, but I had enough muscle mass and bulk from the time I grew while in the Army. And I lost it all after ranger School. I remember taking a long weekend, and eating and sleeping in a hotel room. I felt sorry for the cleaner afterwards as they had to carry out a lot of boxes and empty bags from the garbage. but I wasn't bad, I had brought a large hefty bag with me to keep the room straight. Anyway, I looked like a POW camp survivor afterwards. even had the dark tired eyes. Now I'm working to loose weight, ie fat. I have a very large muscular build, but age, 48. isn't easy to loose weight. I think you're looking more muscular than ever. Over head squats also really work your core, and your abs really feel it.
Hello, I'll give you what I can. 1st Love the Suck and welcome it. 2nd Get physical. You need to be great at PT. and run, run, run. 3rd Be able to hump weight. 4th learn and love the SH 21-76 Ranger Handbook 5th Be a leader. don't be afraid to make decisions. 6th Keep an open mind, and be Gumbi, Damit. I'm sure there are more. I was lucky because I had a great mentor. Find a leader who's BTDT, and open your mind, and heart to all he/she can teach you. A good leader leads, but a great leader is Be, Knows, And Does.
I would first ask how old you are? Second, are you in the Military? If you're already in the Military, then do more PT than you already get. Next, go to Pre-Ranger. I have a young man serving right now I have been giving advice to, who just got a Ranger School date. he went to Pre-Ranger three times. But due to typical politics he was not given a class date until they gave all of the Tab Less 11A's in his Bn a slot.
Interesting video, ThankX for taking the time to do this. I am a retired Senior Warrant (153DF) Blackhawk Driver. I joined the Army in 1969 (11E2T) Sheridan Tanker, got out went back to Los Angeles and became a Los Angeles County Emergency Paramedic (8.5 years). Went back into the Army in 80, flight school (Hueys then Hawks). Retired in 97. Went to school got my BS and Masters in Computers (Systems Engineer). Hated it, went back to Flying (Fort Hood, Govt Contractor flying Medieval x 2 years, then they cut the contract. 3 months later a Senior Warrant buddy from DA called me and asked if I would return back on active duty, the 1st Cav was short Blackhawk drivers to deploy to Iraq) I said sure why not. Retired 2nd time in 2010. Was flying EMS Helicopters x 6 years and last year I said I'm done, too dangerous (I got smart) lol. My heat is off to you, I had a lot of buddies who were Rangers. Not my cup of tea, I hated with a passion PT only because they forced it on us, If I was left alone to go to the guy on my own that would be a totally different story. Again great inspiring video. Im still up in Central Tx. We go to AUS quite often to get away.
He gained a huge result, no doubt. Respect for that. To be honest and real for the people who want to gain muscle, this is not achievable natural. I used steroids in the past and what i saw in an instant is the trapezius muscle. There are receptors in the deltoids and traps so when u use steroids, those bodyparts will grow much faster then other bodyparts.
Nick, I really respect you and your mission, I like you as a person and your devotion to your journey. But please do not set expectations for people. You know you use steroids so why not come clean? This does not make you any less of a person but it defeats the purpose of what you re doing. People will think they can achieve what you did and it s misleading, frustrating and wrong.
At your smallest you look like a sub 2:30 hour marathon runner. I'm impressed with how well you run for you size. I think that runners can really take something of value from following you; we runners shy away from building muscle. Thank you for your post!
I went to Ranger School back in 1990 when it was 72 days. I was 218 with 18"arms. And by the time I was done I was about and going to the time I got to the 2nd Bn. I was 168lbs. It took me 2 years to even get back to 210lbs. I was lucky to have Ranger buddies who were into bodybuilding.
Jeff Cavaliere made a video about rebounding because of muscle memory. If you lose a lot of muscle, re-gaining it is generally a lot easier than initially gaining it was.
4 years ago I was 5'11 135 at 15 years old, now I'm 6'02 195 at 19 so I can see the natty thing for Nick. Idk how much of it has been lifting and diet and how much of it has just been teenage growth spurts but it's more than doable. I honestly just eat a metric fuck ton of food and go hard af in the gym. Small tip, I always carried a jar of peanut butter with me and would just eat a scoop every couple hours, along with huge meals.
So let the record show that this dude is the real deal. I don't follow this channel, but ffs, back to back mountain recycles and he still had the testicular fortitude to push through to graduation and he's back bigger than ever... Fuck'n A bro, Fuck'n A.
Huge question i have is what is your nutrition like when you have to go to the field for a week or 2. Mre’s aren’t the healthiest of meals, not to mention 1 mre is supposed to supplement you for a whole day
Loving the videos man, going into the Army myself watching your whole transition through it is a big motivation. Plus your songs choice is on point, keep it up! 👍🏼
Hey Nick, I'm former active duty, now reservist and a full time firefighter. how do you maintain muscle mass while keeping your cardio at an acceptable level?
Thanks Nick that was a pretty inspirational video I’m 6’4’’ and at 217 where I used to be at 245 of hard won Muscle, I’ve been wanting to get it all back but had kind of felt overwhelmed. I know it might sound silly but your video helped me out man so Thank You. Gonna aim for 255 this time around.
It's still striking to me what competitions consider lean. The way Nick is right now, I would consider lean and i'd be damn happy if I looked like that year round.
1. Thank you for your service 2. Appreciate your transformation insights 3. Your squat technique could use some improvement. Your initiating with your knees instead of your hips. This is why your knees are pushing too far forward out past your toes. Flash forward 15+ years and your knees are going to be thrashed. Schwarzenegger, 20 years ago, could not squat with 100lbs without icing for days afterwards because 40 years ago he used the same technique you are showing. Press your heels into the ground and start with your hip hinge followed by the knees.
How do you count macros while in school ? Do you still count macros? In ranger school don't they provide school or is that your responsibility? Great videos!🙂
What is the best diet / foods to eat after Ranger school ? I’m visiting my son who just graduated from RS and I want to feed him good stuff. Please help or refer me somewhere.
found your channel last year when I was deployed in iraq. I wish you had an Australian distributer because I want to buy your supplements but the shipping and import taxes make it not worth while unless I buy in bulk
Good Stuff! I like the overview as I have gone through all stages from being super lean after Infantry School to being yoked at various times in my life.
Definitely one of the reasons I connected with you better man. It's always better when people have a story attached to their success rather then just "life was great and now I'm doing awesome". Mad respect man 💪💯
Does anyone else get a Chris Evans/captain america vibe when they see this dude lol
Nicolas Villamil very true!
Nicolas Villamil lmao
Nicolas Villamil yup!
Yep. When I saw the thumbnail (he is looking down), I thought someone had put a Captain America pic as joke.
No
whoa. I just randomly came across this video. Nick... we graduated in the same Ranger class. I have that same picture hanging on my wall too. I'm the fifth guy from the right in the top row. Which companies were you in?
Garrett LaMarche that's incredible!!
Garrett LaMarche he’s probably not going to reply
He doesn't love you anymore
Ivan Delgado 😂😂😂
1 Stack Mack he just didn't see it, or messaged him in private.
Man looking at those pictures, freaking awesome! Shows how hard your grinding in order to grow and build. So inspirational sir! Hooah! Also, your videos are getting so much better, loving the edits brother! Keep it up!
Lol. I was going pull your shit for being in the circus, but your a ranger, so good shit man.
Awesome progress man!
Literally moved the s### out of me! Thank you brother! You made me double believe in myself! You just got a big fan over here!
I was already thin before Ranger School, but I had enough muscle mass and bulk from the time I grew while in the Army. And I lost it all after ranger School. Mike Box what advice would you give to anyone interested in ranger school and anyone who wants a successful career in the army?
Hello, I'll give you what I can.
1st Love the Suck and welcome it.
2nd Get physical. You need to be great at PT. and run, run, run.
3rd Be able to hump weight.
4th learn and love the SH 21-76 Ranger Handbook
5th Be a leader. don't be afraid to make decisions.
6th Keep an open mind, and be Gumbi, Damit.

Mike Box thanks! Awesome of you to give advice. What about the physical aspect of it? How should I train?
I would first ask how old you are? Second, are you in the Military? If you're already in the Military, then do more PT than you already get. Next, go to Pre-Ranger. Mike Box 19. Not in the military, I'm working construction off and on right now while training physically right now and figuring everything out.

The commercial before your video was Starbucks Cold Brew haha
glad this guy is fighting on our side....feel sorry for the soldier that has to tangle with him.
There's strong and then there's steroids strong 😂

4 years ago I was 5'11 135 at 15 years old, now I'm 6'02 195 at 19 so I can see the natty thing for Nick. Huge question i have is what is your nutrition like when you have to go to the field for a week or 2. Mre’s aren’t the healthiest of meals, not to mention 1 mre is supposed to supplement you for a whole day

I'm joining Harrogate army collage this year, hopefully I don't lose all my muscle
prob the worst part of going to ranger school is losing all the gains. but it feels good to get it all back
Loving the videos man, going into the Army myself watching your whole transition through it is a big motivation. Plus your songs choice is on point, keep it up! 👍🏼
Hey Nick,
I'm former active duty, now reservist and a full time firefighter.

When did you go to airborne and air assault? During ROTC?
Good stuff boss. I'm looking to take step after this next trip to the sand box. Your videos keep me motivated!
Nick, how would you advise someone on lifting and nutrition if they play a college sport?
So, how did you manage keeping strong while training for Ranger School? When I do long distance running, I feel my squats suffer.
What is the best diet / foods to eat after Ranger school ? I’m visiting my son who just graduated from RS and I want to feed him good stuff. Please help or refer me somewhere.
pre-steroids / post-steroids
Fr
Who gives a fuck

They must sprinkle Dbol in the food lol
Hey nick, question, do they starve you nearly as much in RASP1? Understand if you don't know. Thanks!
Good Stuff! I like the overview as I have gone through all stages from being super lean after Infantry School to being yoked at various times in my life.
What did you guys eat to put so much weight on? how can i get round a high metabolism
You went from Steven Rogers to captain America
Hey Nick. Love your videos. Currently I am an MS1 in army ROTC and I would like to become an infantry officer. Do you have any tips on leadership?
