I need to add a Stacey and Twiggy to my collection. Thanks for showing these! I think I would just get a TNT body Stacey; I, too, have had all my talking bodies break apart.
I have a few NRFB talkers and 2 of them have limbs that are off. Yet I have several that aren't boxed that are fine. Some still talk too😊 I love Stacey especially copper penny.
Same here some are good some are bad. Seems like you never know though, if am arm or leg is gonna fall off. Especially if you redress them or sit them.

I wonder if the difference in head shape and feel have to do with the neck knob? I think it would be really hard unless in original box to determine hair color because so many have oxidized over the years. I also read that Mattel used up old stock bodies with newer heads and vice versa, didn't really have any rules when it came to that so you just never know!
Yes it can be difficult. I think my talking one is on original body though. The hard head doesn't come off easily. Unless you put it in hot water. I also read there was only one Platinum. the 1970's talking. Mine probably turned like you said.

@@BarbieLove So it is the Blonde talking with the hard head? Mine are Mexico and have a soft head I have one NIB so I know it is the right head. I don't have a Hong Kong Stacey but I have a Nape Curl Barbie w a HK body and she has a Hard Head! Is yours a Hong Kong body?

@@BarbieLove can you believe my childhood Stacey still talks. Here's a cute story for you Sue. This paticular copper penny Stacey was my first Barbie doll and I adored her. Naturally I loved hearing her voice . I was pretty careful with my toys but within a week the string wouldn't retract and she was mute. Well I was heartbroken so my father sat down with my mother and wrote a letter to Mattel. We sent Stacey off to Mattel and a few weeks later she arrived fixed with a bonus "Jump into lace" outfit! They also sent a letter to me telling me to not pull the string very hard. Looking back now, it's interesting that they just didn't send a new doll but repaired mine. Neat hey?

@@BarbieLove well her leg fell off today lol. I had her sitting on the stand and box top for a couple years. After that comment you made about sitting them down I figured to gently stand her up and leave her like that back in a display box. I might just put a Stacey head on a loose tnt body now for dress-up display. Love your videos Sue and thankyou for them!😊
