- It’s about time Alex gets her own room! Today I show how to make an amazing room for a Barbie doll! It includes a daybed, working lamp, desk, clothing rack, and more!! This is all build in the scale for a stacie Barbie doll, but could easily be adjusted to a Barbie dolls scale! Let me know what you think of Alex’s new room!? Enjoy!

When do I post?

Very cute room! I'm still trying to decide if I like the bed attached to the shelf/desk unit...maybe I'm just over-thinking it...but the tulle/fairylight draping is an awesome touch.

Great project! If you want to make the scrapbook paper go farther and hide seams you could do a picture rail. In Victorian houses they put a band around the room 18" or so beneath the ceiling. They would use this to hang pictures from on long decorative cords because the plaster on the walls was so hard. For a doll room that would be about an inch below the top of the wall. Make sure your white edge paper goes over the side about 1 1/2" then do the scrapbook paper from the floor, put a band of foam board strips or painted skinny sticks at the seam and voila! Instant architectural interest.
