I broke one of my dolls neck peg when I was little. I found her in my garage, and tried to fix her. This is what I did: I used pliers, and took the neck peg out of her head. Then, I used hot glue and glued it in the neck. Finally, I popped the head back on, and she was fixed. The only bad thing is, that now the head can only move from side to side, not up and down. Other than that, it worked perfectly fine! I don’t know if they’re is a better technique, but, this seems to work the best for me

You know you can use a hair dryer to soften up the doll heads. My husband does all my doll ‘surgeries’ 😅 he uses a travel hair dryer to soften up the heads, then he uses my metal manicure cuticle pusher sticks to pry the heads off. He’s never broken a thing with that method!

You could try gluing the broken pieces back together. Try removing the neck peg with tweezers! I've heard that sometimes helps. Maybe try leaving the heads in the hot water longer so their softer?

I know it can be really scary at first, but it’s very simple to do. If your scared, you could always try piercing a dolls Ears that you don’t care about that much before you pierce your favorite dolls ears☺️
It depends what part of the neck is broken but if there is some sort of a loop still on the neck on the body (or one to fix) u can use pipe cleaners to loop around the other loop and then add buttons and mini elastics to thicken it up to create a diy neck peg. I’ve seen my froggy stuff do it and she might have a video on it I think. But ye hope that helps and I LOVE the new family!! ❤️ #ddsquad
Delightful dolls I have a tip for the "broken" neck peg. What you do is to use hot water and warm up the head and use pliers to remove the neck peg. Luckily the neck peg isn't broken so next is to put the neck peg into hot water for a few seconds and then after that put the rounded part of the neck peg on the support on the neck and all fixed. A pro tip: cut of the excess plastic on the neck peg so it will be easier to put the head on the neck peg

Also I don’t know how to fix it but if you buy another doll I’ve seen people put the Barbie head in a plastic bag (with the body on still) and you leave it in for maybe 2 hours or an hour because it’s supposed to soften the peg thingy :) and than you can try to take the head off! Hopefully this helps 💗💗

I actually have experience with the dolls neck plug breaking with multiple dolls, and because I have never tried to body swap a Stacey doll, what I would do in your situation is, like you said, to leave Alex as she is right now. What I have done with Barbie dolls though, is to take the neck plug out the doll's head and then permanently glue it back into the doll's neck. It sounds terrible, but it works
How to fix a dolls broken neck peg: 1. Use pliers to remove the neck peg from the head. 2. Did you see the plastic cylinder in the neck? How it had been broken off from one of the sides? Attach the neck peg onto that then melt the part that had broken of from inside the neck, back on the neck. (a hot glue gun nozzle would do the trick). 3. Attach the head on the now fixed neck peg! also, can i get a shout out? #ddsquad LOVE YOUR VIDEOS!!!
A little tip on removing doll heads: Before applying heat (blow dryer or boiling water), push the head down to the shoulders. Keep it this way while applying heat. It allows the neck hole to stretch slightly wider and easier to remove. It will shrink down once it has cooled off on the new body. I learned this from superbudddiesforever 😊
I break the neck pegs in my dolls all the time when I do body swaps! I don't know why, but it's good to see that others make the mistake too. And to me, I think lately the newer dolls have been a bit harder on removing their heads

To fix the neck peg you’re gonna need to pick it up with some tweezers and then there should be a tiny opening and you should connect it like a chain
