Bit of lore. The cores were important in the second game. You (Hilgara) had one, second belonged to the enemy (Veygr) and the third to the Bentusi (remember those guys?). The three cores were needed to awaken progenitor ship Sajuuk. And later I think to use these gates for hyperspace.
The Intel officer's voice finally came to me, Ike Amadi. He played Locke in Halo 5 and Koth in the expansions to Star Wars: The Old Republic. Can't believe I didn't make that connection sooner. He's also the democracy officer in Helldivers 2 among _many_ other roles.
In the previous mission it took two controllers to capture. Maybe it's not a bug,just like homeworld 1 you need often more than one ship for capture
It only take one for frigates two miners or one controller ( same things)
13:06 you were supposed to leave some ships and go yhperspace. thats why that cutscene

Some were clever to sneak past Pravus and get to a data spire but were not clever enough to avoid capture. Haha! I'm loving the way to play HW3 :)
That means that you can't reliably use big ships for harassment. They risk getting captured.
You need to get Scouts for that role.

I have no idea if it’s just me, but the intel dude sounds like the shipmaster/speech giver in helldivers ll while you’re in the ship…..might just be me.

dev investing alot of time in giving the option to use strategic plays meanwhile most players make big blobs of ships and charge the enemy

How does she feel what happens with her ship? That ship doesn't have pain receptors they could but thats stupid to do because that could be seen as torturing your pilot so WHYYYYY???

Day 25 asking Pravus to play Eu4 Anbennar. I’ll definitely be returning to this series once I’m done with the game
The plot and visuals in this game are just a mess. Bit of superficial damage to the mothership = two cores offline and down to 30% health. The whole premise is weird too. They've had ships disappear in hyperspace. Definitely "The Anomaly" and not because your navigators are a bunch of inbred people. And then your planets get attacked. Definitely also "The Anomaly". Because those two things are obviously related. And "pirates" are religious fanatics who attack you and refuse to elaborate further. What? Also, sure. Progenitors. I think the developers should have asked for some help with the writing.
Very much so. Also i belive that whoever is the new writer of HW franchise got totaly confused about how exactly progenitor hyperspace cores vs all lesser cores work. It is not like ships are unable to hyperspace without their leader possesing progenitor core. Everybody including freaking pirates from HW 1 and 2 can. Its just that their cores are shitty replicas that cannot travel very far, while a single progenitor allowed to hop a third of a milky way's arm in one jump.
So Imagine being surprised about shpis jumping in is quite stupid, she uses synthetic cores, although better replicas, herself. And she should know that someone posesing similiar cores can just sent in fleets without jumping himself. Since she can open aditional gates for own frigates and etc. Also i think significance of ring gates was downplayed.
In HW 2 they where rare sructures used to connect unnavigable regions and, as i thought galacsies. Which i thought would be the main new plot. Wenturing into unknown galaxy to fool around and find out that something there was wrong.
But no, here they are just enemy spawners in a wave defence game.
