I use outlook since it came out and just turned on the 'NEW' switch a couple of months ago. I use outlook to conduct business with my firm and several of the short line railroads and rr affiliated businesses and companies. This video will help me to make my emails more professional and eye-catching as we are involved in sales and installation of ultrasound rolling stock wheel, break, and bearing detection platforms.
Most helpful information and all it cost me was a little of my time.

Great overview without wasting time. A 10 second undo is not nearly long enough. I have a 2 minute delay on everything and I go back and edit so often that the inability to delay has kept me in old Outlook. I will look into seeing if there’s another efficient way to do that. The Quicksteps reply with meeting is awesome and I’d like to be using that.
I'm a big OneNote user. Switching to the new Outlook loses the send to OneNote option. I only see it in groups. Is the feature hidden?
I am also a OneNote user. I read somewhere that MS is eventually going to replace OneNote with MS Loop.
@@MrCass1305 that will work for me. I have multiple roles and projects that require different notebooks. I would definitely prefer to be able to use Loop components within my notebook pages. The hybrid would be optimal.
@@MrCass1305Loop and OneNote are not interchangeable. Loop is to be added to OneNote.
Uuuggh...WHY do they have to keep changing all the apps...we are busy enough to keep learning new apps...so frustrating..I am with you!
Outlook is still the industry standard for Gov't and big corporations, but it is so dog on slow as sloth in handling emails.

Hello, Amazing video !!!!. Can you please help me on how to select multiple attachments in a email in the new outlook. Dont know why I am not longer able to do it. Its causing me to dislike the new outlook as major of my work revolves around forwarding attachments and now downloading them everytime I have to forward them is a headache.

I'd love to learn more about what's NOT getting used in Contacts. All these emails, meetings and the rest are about PEOPLE- yet Outlook Contacts barely works.
We should be able to add customer fields with a choice of drop down items or type it freehand and organize those fields on the screen as we see fit. Should be able to track all Events at the Contact level- so we can take notes in the Contact about who said what and when, To Do's. The Event (Meeting or Call) should be centric- with Contacts as spokes of a wheel. A Contact works for an organization, but should also be assigned to an Event (Project).
I could go on and on, but the point is we are clearly not using Outlook Contacts in a robust way. Go get 'em mister!
I do not have the drop down arrow for scheduling a timed email send and now I don't have the kick steps menu...
Thanks for a great video, I learnt a bunch of things. I certainly do like the old Outlook more, because it had way more features, but I am forced to work with this.
In the old Outlook, I could set it to only show unread emails. I could toggle between normal and unread. With this new Outlook I do not seem to be able to do it. I have to filter. Is there a way to do that, that I am maybe unaware of?
In the new Outlook you can sort folders by date which at first seems fine. But in the previous Outlook sorting by date ascending I think it was so the oldest is at the top and the newest ones are at the bottom. If you scrolled to the bottom, the next time you accessed the folder you were at the bottom where the newest emails are. The new Out look you cannot do this. When you go to the folder it starts at the top. It there and option to change this behavior?
Love your channel! I have a Microsoft 365 account and have Outlook desktop on both my laptops. It syncs my mail across both machines perfectly, but my calendar and contacts do not. Could you show us how to sync these in a future video? Thanks!

I watched this video hoping to find out why all names in a group are displayed when open. The old version of 365 outlook did not display all members when opened. So what am I doing wrong. I also added the group to BCC, using the old version, but that's missing on the new APP; version. Thanks for any help.
In the new Outlook - When booking a Equipment resource, I found I was not able to pick the resource from the Global Address List (GAL), only hap the option for Roomfinder. Is there a setting in the Outlook to allow you to gain access to the GAL? We are in a Hybrid environment and still have OnPrem and Roomfinder resources and equipment options.

So for example, I put a meeting into my calendar which I rely on so need it on there to remember, but I also want it on our shared one so that my team can see where I'll be?
Is this achievable when I'm just adding to my own calendar rather than having to make time to them go onto the shared?
You're welcome and let me check on this.
Just invite the shared calendar to your meeting. You’ll be the organizer, so any changes will automatically flow to the shared calendar. If configured correctly, you should be able to type its name in the TO field and it will show up in AD.

If you organize your folders on the left (under inbox) in certain order, they seem to go back to a default alphabetical order if you close and open Outlook. Is there a way to lock in the order of the folder like the previous Outlook?
I often use the Adobe add in to conver emails to .pdf. I cannot find how to install the Adobe add-in to the new Outlook, which forces me to keep using the old Outlook. do you know how?

Good tips. On the Outlook 365 online version- how do I Refresh or Send/Receive? Other then my browser refresh- is there a way to do it inside the program?
When you create a group, will there still automatically a Team be created?
And when you delete the group, what happens with the shared documents and the created Team (if there is one created)?

My New Outlook does not have anything to the right of the words "Home View Help" at the top. "Message Insert Format Text Draw" etc. are missing - Why?

I have been searching for someone to show how to hide the completed tasks from the calendar sidebar view from the new outlook mail view. I would like to see this sidebar with calendar events right under the actual calendar and then below that any tasks that are not completed. This is exactly how it was in the old outlook.
Is there a way to make a rule for sent emails? I send some emails from a shared inbox but my account, and therefore the sent record only shows up in my accounts sent folder. Ideally I'd like a copy in the shared folder automatically is that doable?

Hi Teacher's Tech, I have new outlook and synced my GMAIL account. I've used outlook for 10 years and have my first problem with NEW outlook. If I receive an email in inbox, read it, reply, and then move the original email to a subfolder, new outlook duplicates my email so now I have 2 copies, 1 in my inbox and 1 in my subfolder. I have no workaround for this. Can you please help?

That could be, I will need to check my Mac. On Windows you can get it from the Windows Store, maybe on Mac it's on the App Store.
In gmail, we can add multiple contacts in a group or contact list by pasting the emails in one place with one click, how can we do that in outlook? I noticed that we have to do it one by one in outlook
Every email received in my inbox appears twice. The first only shows the sender with no message and the second contains both the sender and the message. How do I get rid of this feature. If you have 10 emails in your inbox, it appears 20 times. Hard to explain but I'm hoping this is clear. Hope you can help. Thanks.

Is there a way to adjust font style and size for your entire email Inbox landing page (ie inbox and folder headings, as opposed to an outgoing email, which can be customized) ?
My email account just 'updated' and now has a new font/size for my inbox that I dont like and want to change.
There is no longer an option to change fonts in View>Settings. FYI, layout>Text size and Spacing

Schedule send - I get really frustrated with Schedule send as I mostly want to have a one hour delay to allow me to make changes before it's sent. Other email systems offer this with a single click. The default is also, unhelpfully set to the next day for some reason.

Great video but there is one thing that I cannot get. On my Outlook NEW, next to SEND button I cannot see any drop-down menu, there is just one solid button "SEND", so no option to send scheduled emails. Can anyone explain why is that?
I still do not have that button to upgrade. How can you find another way to upgrade?
Try going to the Microsoft Store on your computer and search for it.
