I spent a lot of time smoking in the stairwell when I went off to university and No Surprises was one of my favorite songs to listen to while I did. Smoking was a bad habit I'm glad I kicked, but the peace and quiet of a cold concrete stairwell in the deadest hours of night was a wonderful thing. Listening to this cover, it almost feels like you've distilled the stairwell experience into a song.
