Clement, if I understand Shatta Wale correctly, he is expressing that he doesn't oppose protests against galamsey. However, he emphasizes that such protests should stem from a genuine love for the country and should be ongoing, rather than occurring solely during election periods. He believes that during elections, one party may exploit the issue of galamsey against another, making empty promises to curb it just to secure votes.
First time i support Shatta wale.. Galamsey is not a new thing.. Galamsey will not stop today or tomorrow.. Lets ask those chanting stop Galamsey, what they suggest the government do about this Galamsey issue.. Didn't this government try before and we Ghanaian Galamsey went against the government?? We even went as far to say the military must be pulled out of Galamsey areas.. Now u stand there and say stop Galamsey..
Hmmmm this galamsey issues 😢😢😢Shatta too sometimes I dont understand him aaah 🙄🙄🙄contradictory speech nkoaa

💔 Wait, what does he mean by "hunger is making the youth angry" at 3:05? Seriously? So, if someone is well-fed, they’d sit back and watch the destruction of our environment? This is really appalling. We’re not angry because we’re hungry! The protesters aren’t demonstrating because they don’t have food.
The fight against galamsey goes beyond political lines, religious beliefs, or economic status. It’s about securing a sustainable future-a future where we won’t need to import drinking water, and where newborns won’t suffer from genetic disorders caused by pollution.
It’s wild how disconnected the elites are from what’s actually happening. They just don’t care

The stop galamsey protest in Accra is a waste of time. It is better to do it on social media than the streets of Accra. If the protest is rather held in a mining area, it's significance will be greater than on the streets of Accra because it creates awareness and education on the menace and effects on our health and also sends message to those involved in it. If it is done in Accra it is highly possible that most people in this mining areas don't even hear or have a little knowledge about what is going on. Even me who leaves in Accra didn't even know of that protest, it was after that I got to hear about it because of the arrests. So if I didn't hear how much more a minner and their financiers who are in the Bush and on our water bodies mining. See Okatakyi Afrifa of angel fm started exposing some people involved in this galamsey and even going to these site to arrest people but people have turned a blind eye to that. Maybe because he is an npp person but see he exposing people behind this menace is far better than a protest on the streets of Accra.
The mining area are not ready to do it because they're the ones doing it. When the water is destroyed it will affect Accra too
My question is, why didn’t they started fighting it way back long but now that election is approaching?????? That’s what’s makes it politics. I’m not for gala oo never but let’s see if someone is going to fight it again after election
If we vote Npp out i bet you galamsey will stop.
Election time is perfect time to get anything done by government.

I have never voted but one man said NDC involved people to mine close to the rivers so that all this issue will come up then npp will loss the election. I thought so hard about it and relised politics is a dirty game and it is possible. Npp government has lots credibility
Kindly allow me to the studio let’s have a fruitful conversation about galamsey or better dissect exactly what Shatta Wale is trying to preach
First here ooooo 😅🤣🤣
If we want to fix galamsey let’s go to places like Konongo and Odumase let’s demonstrate in these towns where this galamsey is actually going on inside peoples houses not the bush. I grew up in that town they were doing galamsey before I was born and is still going on. Let’s go to the roots of the problem instead of blocking roads in Accra
The people that give the go ahead are the same who have the power to stop it. They dont live in those villages. They live in the flagstaff house and other mansions in Accra.
You target the roots. Not the branches
Those in Accra are actually blocking roads to effect action/change in Konongo and Odumase. The permit for the galamsey is issued in Accra. And the leadership in Accra can issue a cease & desist order to stop the galamsey anywhere Ghana. If our regions and districts were fully decentralized administrations, then people in Konongo and Odumase would have to take the lead in the protests (against their chief, mayor, district assembly, etc.).
@@SanteSmiles see no government will issue a license to anyone to mine inside someone’s house. I know what am talking about and this fight goes beyond the government if the people in the towns are not willing to snitch on them the government is handicapped. How will you know galamsey is going on in this house if a native doesn’t tell you.
@@gh_blaqsoap2846 see galamsey is called illegal mining no one issues them a license to begin with so don’t say something you don’t know. These kids makes thousands of cedis from this do you know the vices that it has brought into these towns the use of hard drugs you name it. The galamsey pits collapse on them every time which lives are lost in the process but it has never stopped them from going back. Set factories inside their homes and they will still not enter bcos that money they will be paid is too small for them. This is deeper than most of you could phantom

Clem makes it easy to understand everything ! Its very difficult for me to click on any other blog,no matter how juicy the news look ! Clem, thank u wati, the funny thing is, I don’t understand whatever anyone says 😂😂😂😂 Mabon tu !
Only shallow minded people wouldn’t know that, this current fight against galamsay isn’t political. Government aimed to fight against it and the strongest opposition party was campaigning against the government’s fight against it, no one condemned their acts, and that, influenced the people to vote massively against the government and for political gains the ruling government has also decided to stop against the fight of galamsay and now people are demonstrating asking the government to start the fight again so other opposition parties would go to these people and make promises to them. Let’s not forget that as a political party they need numbers to retain power and they wouldn’t do anything to jeopardise their chances. They’ve learnt from the past so if u the ordinary citizens won’t realise and see the need to stop the galamsay for a good life,it’s entirely up to u. One presidential candidate was on a campaign trail telling the people in the galamsay areas that,he would grant the people who has been prosecuted an amnesty to do their galamsay when voted into power and no one saw the need to condemn that unfortunate statement against an act which has become a national cancer. Just ask urself have u heard any opposition party boldly condemning galamsay? If no then ask urself why and u’ll understand the demonstration if u critically analyse the situation and timing. After December 7 all the noise would end.
But don't you know Wale dey inside gala business long ago with his partner RichGame?
When the soldiers were burning excavators, we same Ghana peoplenwere condemning them. Now 2months to elections suddenly nwe have all woken up from sleep. And you want us to believe its not political?

Clement tomorrow 2 October is my birthday, even though am a silent student please wish me wai.
Many are indeed mad but few are on the streets. It’s shocking people in this comment section think the effects of galamsey is only limited to the communities in which it is happening. You’re concerned about timing? What stopped you if you were capable to start the fight years ago? If even it is true people have been paid to hold these demos, is the cause they’re advocating for not good enough to attract support? So many senseless people in the comment section who only think politics even if they’ll die by it. Mtchew!
But Clement, you should know that Shatta is more in tune with what is on the ground and knows where this will lead. Like I always say, there are legitimate ways to get answers from our leaders. We are not testing the system the right way...
How do we do it?
@sandraboafo7494 Several dear. For instance every mining area has a chief or sub chief. Filing a direct petition and seeking audience with the media broadcasting and doing follow ups across board.
Ghanaians should wise up especially the youth
NPP and NDC has taken Ghanaians for granted
What the demonstrators doesn't know and I personally think they are wasting their time is,government or authorities cannot stop galamsey when the owners of the lands are not stopping giving out their lands.
Land owners are willing selling out their cocoa farms and you are busy shouting on the streets of accra where there is no mining activities taking place 😂😂😂.
Go to the mining areas to protest or demonstrate to the farmers and the galamseyers .
The problem is every Ghanaian consider his personal interest first, so is had to know a neutral person on every issue. Until we change our minds Ghana will still be like this
I always say whoever opposes this good cause has something to gain in galamsey. Shatta wale, Akuffo Addo and the rest have something to gain from the waters being destroyed.
