"Runaway" is even more impressive when you consider that it was essentially Kanye's *first* ever true venture into film, so he was basically a beginner and novice, yet he showed a ton of talent and promise. It's too bad that Kanye hasn't dedicated himself to film in the way that he once dedicated himself to music, because he could be an equally great filmmaker as a musician I suspect. He even did something revolutionary and experimental with his multi-screen pyramid theater and "Cruel Summer" film, which blended cinema and architecture in the spirit of cubism, but sadly he didn't stick with the idea. If Kanye had constructed a *permanent* version of his multi-screen pyramid theater, and then committed to making more films for this new multi-screen format, he could've made a major contribution to cinema history and started a new trend, something big. Imagine if Jodorowski had created something for this theater, in collaboration with Kanye. It could've been even more groundbreaking. Other prominent directors might then catch interest as well, and it really really could've became something big. Truly a shame he didn't stick with and expand upon the idea, he was really onto something there.
