Sooo. I have a question, and an observation.
Observation: all these natural catastrophic events seem to all be very overdue. Some by 100s of years.
Question: have we got the time scales wrong? Let's be honest, we are told lots of things that are questionable with everything, it's just the same for the earth's natural history, "experts" Do get it wrong! They just won't admit it. Or is the planet just "slowing down" because it is less geologically active than it was, each one of these world killing events has taken longer and longer between them. "The big one" is just around the corner seems to be very ambiguous when the margins of error are in the thousands of years.
Personally I think we are going to screw ourselves over on a global scale long before a natural event will!
Because we as a whole just don't give a s*** until it kicks us in the teeth.
