Im obsessed with MidJourney mate!! Although a lot of concerns are raising up for its use in the future. I believe it will be a great canvas for giving birth to your ideas and then recreate them, so they are efficient to use in production.
Couldn't agree more! It’s definitely a very helpful tool that will just make the creation process just a few percentage points easier! And yes! I’m obsesses as well! :D
Some artists need drugs to create such surreal illustrations, but artificial intelligence does it soberly)) When I made a request, I didn’t even imagine that it was possible to draw like that. Midjourney is an amazing tool that helps artists discover new ideas in themselves and get out of the state creative stagnation. And those who were afraid to start getting a push and confidence.
Great video, I found much fun and expression with Wambo Dream for mobile, and desktop Its amazing the kinds of visuals AI delivers from photo and word prompts.
Great content. The spaceship with the white trails... I suspect MJ took your "from the ground level" (referring to POV) to mean that it's the spaceship that just took off from the ground and now it's racing up to the sky (parallel to a skyscraper), the white trails are supposed to signify "speed". "Shot" could also mean that someone is firing at the ship
YES, many errors, and disagreements with what was requested, it is something that is still being developed... but sometimes it returns bad results too. It will improve with the use of users, and the data-bank-photos will still increase vertiginously. Greetings!!
Interesting video thanks, but what strikes me is that maybe it’s your use of English? i.e.: I wouldn't have thought of asking that question in that way. It’s just a hunch, but my guess is that it assumes a lot of (colloquial American English) understanding of how the words 'over', and maybe even 'shot' are being employed (shot with what? an RPG?). You're also not actually asking to do anything, just making an open-ended statement. It's not very precise. Maybe try... "Paint a picture of an alien space ship FLYING through the sky above New York city as it would be seen if photographed from the ground"?
They do have an extensive guide in the documentation. Type of syntax, what to avoid and what would give you the best results. It’s all nicely documented.

@@marvelousdecay I think thats very important. 3D artists could use this to develop textures for their models. I know you can apply a texture to a square. If you can apply it to a sphere than you can create some very nice materials even if TPOSE doesnt work.
Don't know exactly what the final pricing structure will be, but the way things are done now is that choose from a couple of billing options and get charged monthly. Don't know if that will change in the future
I see what you're saying but I don't really think we're in danger. I see these tools more as inspiration rather than final production imagery. Just like a word association game. Something to keep your creative juices flowing!
@@marvelousdecay I hope you are right. However, as a greater proportion of the human race is inherently lazy and will always choose the lowest common denominator (take low television programmes as an example) I do fear that our intuitive processes will become diminished. I am not an artist but I design my covers and I can say that creating them is an intuitive art. A process that we must not lose.
@@jean_mollycutpurse_winchester as of now we have some traditional masters that create stuff using legacy technics. Like blacksmiths, tailors, woodworkers and so on. With the time and tool development those crafts kinda became obsolete, still there are masters who didn’t lost the tradition. It is appropriate to assume that design and art is no different and as industrialization transformed the craftsmanship, AI will transform creative processes. But there will be demand for fully humane production I am sure.
I would argue that this allows us as the users to consider our designs and what we're looking for at a different, but no lesser extent. As he said in the video, in order to get the imagery that you're looking for, you need to give a detailed prompt that guides the AI in a similar manner to that of describing a photo to someone who hasn't seen it so that they can imagine it. Much like a screenwriter does for films before handing off their creation to the actors, director, camera crew, etc. Another example, just as you said that you design your covers, you generally don't have to develop photos yourself and work with enlargers and rephotographing layouts, or messing with typesetting to put a design together. Rather, software is used which makes those middle steps unnecessary. Or myself as an artist, I don't have to hire models to sit every time I want to paint. I can collage old photos together digitally (or use one of the various AI's like Midjourney or Disco Diffusion) to describe generally/in detail what I'm thinking of. We progressively alter the way that we work in ways that don't necessarily diminish our creativity and input, but just redirect it. Painters were mortified at the invention of photography when it came out, with fears that it would be the end of art, yet art persists and will continue to do so.
These sort of tools are GREAT for Ideation! I can see this being a great starting point for personal projects if an artist is stuck. Very cool!
Totally agree!
oof! I look at this how weavers saw the spinning jenny
No matter how u slice and dice it but this equals to less work for artists.
Wow, the possibilities of this are endless!! So exciting to see companies exploring this new frontier

I’ve been apart of mid journey about a week and it’s been amazing thus far!!!
Ooh, I like it and you nailed on creative blocks, lol, I will start paint over a few , but yeah is weird, great vid
With my last breath as a dying artist on their deathbed I will say out loud - at least I never succumbed to Midjourney!
I love that just like with human artists, hands are always the hardest to draw lol

Those results are INSANLY AMAZING! like it did feels like it was made by AI !
Looking forward to using it to develop concept art for game development projects.
Thanks for this review. Really interesting.
First, AI will help artists. Second, it will then replace them. 🤔
How do I get access to midjourney? Every time I tried it says invite not valid 😞

Is there a syntax guide on how to get the best results?

Best is subjective
Wow, those are great! 👍
how can i get into exploring with midjourney myself?
Apply to the beta. Go to midjourney's twitter page and the application form will be there on the profile.
Man, who's the team behind this midjourney? Is this open source??
David H the creator guy is always available in the discord for members

it just photoshops together existing images, deforms them, blurs, sharpens some edges. I would guess that it uses google image search.
