Rest in peace to the happy trains. The relation to my local 465s are evident, these sound nearly *identical* to at least some of those. I actually didn't know until today that the 'happy' front ends they had were not the originals, instead having that boxy face exactly like its other Networker siblings.

Sadly these Happy Trains are going away in a few years’ time. 19 are being stored in I think Ely in Cambridgeshire and 21 are in service now on Great Northern.
Yes the ones not in service and off lease are stored in Ely Papworth Sidings along with old GWR and LNER HSTs etc
I don't think all of them are being replaced considering they've been refurbished
@@seaside-dn8dp great northern still have 2 in operation and probably will remain in service.Its awful to see these go as HST's have been around for about 40 years and this train only got around 20 years

Sadly there going into storage for the foreseeable future because of the works at Kings Cross there not being used. But they were a joy to listen to when they left Peterborough.

I love the Great Northern 365s oh and btw they're noticed as Happy Trains 😂😃.
I never noticed that it was a happy faced train till I later saw the engine on the front

We had these at Kings Lynn, thought they were ok and don’t know why they were changed?
The Fen line user group didn't like the lack of aircon and complained. GN now only diagram 387s (some make it up there under control arrangements)
