- Is it a scam or is it legit? In this episode, Leigh tests 5 archery products he bought for dirt cheap on Temu. Is any of it quality? Is it all junk? How bad is it? The results might surprise you, and you're sure to have a laugh!
Not bad from Temu. I'm not overly surprised since probably 90% of the bow parts we buy in the usa are made in China. As far as bow vise, i went much cheaper and bought a bike clamp that grips the grip of the bow nicely and was very easy to get my bow setup. It was only around $35 on Amazon
@@andrewsanders5774 can you send me the link at the letoffpodcast@gmail.com I would be really curious to see what you did
That extra plate goes on the bottom side of your table. Thats why it has long bolts, to go through the bench top .
@@jackhammerd5877 that would make sense. A bit overkill perhaps, but makes sense. Thanks for watching and letting me know!
👆🏻this is correct
Or, when skipping the middle holes, will fit around the press.

Those smaller aperture inserts are used in conjunction with a target scope. They help clear the image up and the smaller size increases precision. The drop away rest is basically a ripoff Trophy Taker basic model. There’s some things that you can take the chance on, don’t overestimate the quality and you’ll be fine. Some things like the release, I wouldn’t risk due to potential for catastrophic failure.
@@TheSasquatch14 the releases made me nervous, that’s why they didn’t make it in the video haha
I got a handheld one from amyxgs or something and it works fine. Not a lot of adjustment on the sensitivity. Basically either it's open or closed, no travel whatsoever. Fine for a backup I guess but you're not getting a surprise release with it. Just make sure you don't set the sensitivity too low or you'll punch yourself in the face mid draw and send an arrow flying in a random direction. The fit and finish seem nice though. Feels solid
I actually have 4 of the temu 4 finger tru ball max knock offs and one has north of 800 shots on it with great success surprising they are pretty decent
Thank you for the Temu archery product testing. I always wanted to buy some stuff like you have , but wasn’t sure about quality. For beginner bow techs, it’s something to learn with and even use if other ppls bows without worrying of issues.
I’m def going to check out some of their stuff. Thanks again.
Glad it helped!
That smallest peep aperture is still bigger that the one I use in my target peep 😆🤣 You need to hang out with more target archers
Haha so I've heard, I don't have any target archery buddies actually!
That's was an awesome review I've got to say I was skeptical about buying archery stuff on temu but after seeing your review I'm going for it especially the bow vise I've had my eye on it for ages but was unsure the other stuff I'll grab them to especially when it's cheaper than other places so thanks for the review I'm going to start collecting stuff for my achery work shop as well.
Glad it helped!
Bow vise looks totally acceptable. 👍👍
With that price it really has to.
It is awesome!
I am impressed at what they have. What about an arrow saw?
@@chrismoerike6301 before this video the saw made me nervous, but now I would be willing to try it!
I got a cheap one from spg (same brand as the arrow rest from the vid) or sopoger forgot which and it's alright. Not the strongest motor so it'll sieze up if you try going too fast but if you take your time it gets the job done and leave a nice clean edge
Would like to see an arrow spinner in the next one
@@gmoney7743 thanks for the recommendation!
The secondary plate would go on the opposite side of the table to help solidify the mounting on the table.
@@jmont7862 thanks!
Temu itself is simply the marketplace for sellers as they don't make or even rebrand items. Like Amazon in the beginning (till they also started to sell selected products which they rebranded with their own name)
@@krisvandermeulen253 thanks for watching and commenting!
I bought a cheap take-down recurve from temu to teach my kids to shoot. It is actually a REALLY nice bow, surprisingly. I have bought a lot of stuff off temu. Have always received what I ordered, and the quality is usually decent to very good.
Super cool!
The peep is 3/16 with no apeture. The sizes are the same as Specialty Archery peeps. They are mostly for target archery. They also make a peep that is 1/4" with no apeture for hunting.
I use the peep you got with no apeture for hunting which is 3/16". Mine is the Specialty peep that your Temu peep copied off. It matches up with my Spot Hogg sight perfectly.
@@douglasvaughn9530 that makes sense thank you!
Good info. I'm considering the vise after this. Also got my broadheads last week. Can't wait to shoot them at something other than foam!
@@kip.k I have already sold my old vice for this one, it’s a serious upgrade! Be sure to send pics into us at TOTA!
@@toothofthearrowbroadheads you got it…although there’s a good chance the first one will be a north caronlina doe for the freezer 🤣
I have that peep sight, got mine of Ali Express, really good for the money.
@@pastyhauler the quality is there for sure
That plate is supposed to be on the underside of the table and you clamp the vice straight through the table with bolts for maximun strength....
@@tompali2025 thanks!
Very cool idea for a video! Probably getting vise 😅
@@Prog27801 I’ve already sold my old one because this one is that good
How about buying and testing some x-bow stuff?
@@TODinWY I’m just not a crossbow or traditional guy and don’t want to pretend I know about anything that I don’t
How about doing a video about your wolf?
@@weekender38 I’ve been asked a few times for a shop tour with my mounts and stuff, maybe it’s about time!
i got lighted knocks super cheap, havent tried yet
@@bc454irocz89 hopefully they work out!
I've bought kitchen items and fishing tackle from temu. Always got what I paid for. Quality is usually good. I've definitely got some janky stuff. But for the most part, it's fine. Pay attention to item descriptions. Returns have been smooth for the most part. You'll also get credit for items that drop in price within a month of your purchase. Do I agree with their business model? Meh. Not really.
@@llllogix that’s pretty much where I’m at with it. Not a company I will continue to purchase from, but it made for a fun video
Aliexpress has the same items usually cheaper than Temu
@@simonhooper2458 thanks!
Those peep is fine it is for target shooting with a scope
@@denniszintz7049 interesting thank you!
3/64 , 1/32, 1/16 , 3/32 , 1/8
Small to big and I could be totally wrong .
Thank you!
Id get that vise. Ty. Getting a temu account… hmm
@@minmaxwax thanks for watching!
$2500 bow!?
Yeah, those carbon riser bows are not cheap.
@@bhuff86 Canadian dollars
Drill out the peeps that are too small.
This would work!
