It's a funny culture juxtaposition because in India (and probably other South-southeast Asian countries) the monsoon rainy season is a time of leisure. Farmers and laborers can't work much outside so they take it easy and even more wealthy well-to-do white collar types take vacations. The rainy season is nice and rain is pleasant. As long as you don'tlive in a flood zone. Meanwhile in the Anglo sphere culture norms are heavily influenced by rainy miserable Britian, where rain is common and has come to signify sadness and depression.
The Inca version of heaven is meadows where it permanently rains. The Inca version of hell is dry and dusty.

Yeah, X2 is definitely an improvement in all regards. Last Stand is kind of a letdown, though.

The boy at the start was Magneto, if you missed that. He is a Jew and was taken by the Nazis in World War 2. This has lead Magneto to become distrustful of humans, to the point of hating them. Also, Magneto and Professor X (man in wheelchair) used to be friends, a long time ago.

I don't think they understood what Magneto's machine was designed to do. Also the whole concept of mutants might have gotten lost in translation. Good reaction, but I think the discrimination message didn't really sink-in.
The themes and concepts and abilities are far too foreign to their experiences. There is a lot, a great lot, of cultural, historical, scientific understanding which is ubiquitous, taken for granted, in Western societies that are necessary to understand such works of pseudo-scientific fantasy media that, despite their recent exposures, are just lacking in their toolbox; thus... artist, magic, secret, etc.
@@caveatlector2671 Any Western immediately recognises the Holocaust scene but to them it seemed fictional. Raeen probably would've recognised it and pointed it out to them though.

As of my 30s, if I don't dye my hair, it looks like Rouge's at the end of this movie. A lot of ladies I Western countries dye their hair. My grandfather on my father's side had dark reddish brown hair, which is called Chestnut 🌰 that looked red in the sun. As a baby, my hair was a reddish blonde colour called Strawberry Blonde. It kept getting darker and more red over the years until my teenage years when it became it became Chestnut. Then, in my 30s, I got my grey streak. That came from my father's family as well. My aunty had dark hair, and when she was about age, she got a patch of grey in the middle of her head. She liked hers so she didn't dye it. Some ladies dye their own hair. A lot of us go to the hairdresser like I do. A couple of days ago, I had my hair cut and had it dyed. Chestnut with some lightened red highlights as close to my natural colours as I can get.

I think Spider-Man films pre endgame was a great idea. Coz they HAD to know about the Spider-Man origin story... Before diving into phase 3... Same goes for the amazing Spider-Man films. But.. but but but.. the xmen films would've been better after endgame.. same goes for the DCEU they should watch it after endgame so that they don't feel confused as to why they're not appearing in endgame..
Either way I'm not complaining coz ultimately, every single superhero film will collide into one in secret wars in 2027.
Just make them watch Dr Strange already, it has many Indian culture references in it which they will notice

Yeah it’s necessary viewing honestly. They already have seen two versions of Spider-Man if they just tell them that they’re basically retelling the same story and that they were later incorporated with the multiverse they’ll get it.

Only Babu is following the MCU and Saru is watching Spider-Men. The only thing that connects the MCU and X-Men together, at least in cinema, is Dr Strange meeting Xavier in an alternate universe. In other words, there's no confusion (Babu doesn't care enough to be confused by anything). BUT I do get the sense that these two young guys (I forgot the name of the guy to the right, I'm sorry) would enjoy the MCU in its entirety.
I still would advice to keep DC Comics out of the current 'binge'. Keep Superman, Batman, Justice League, Wonderwoman and Aquaman after End-Game has concluded and inform them that this is a different franchise.
Try not to get poor Babu excited or we'll spend an eternity listening to him repeatedly say the first syllable of the word he's thinking of.
Its okay to not have Babu in every single video. Especially all the superhero movies. Keep Babu for MCU reactions only. I feel its too many superheros and storylines for him to keep track of.

They couldn't get half of the concepts of the movie because they don't have the background. They react mostly to scenes and visuals.
When will "Sir" understand that when they go see those movies, "westerners" have a previous knowledge of concepts (mutations, discrimination, etc.) and of the themes and characters (as the comic book was almost 40ish years old when the movie was made, and 60ish now)? Those movies are made for audiences that have an idea (even a small one) of what X-men are. You NEED to provide those gentlemen with some explanations and background. Or what you do is just not fair to them and is just a click bait.
Plus... barely 3 X-men movies are good. The rest can be forgotten. And X-men are not a part of the cinematic MCU, due to their rights being sold to another company, and contrary to Spiderman, they do not appear at all in the MCU. They are only briefly in the post-credits scene of "The Marvels". So you don't need to introduce them before being about to show them The Marvels.... assuming they have survived the multiverse...

Wait.. babu said "of course he is an artist..that is why they are working in films" does he think they really have these powers in real life? Show them how these movies are made with special effects and computers please.
I always find it amusing that they over-focus on minutia like weather conditions, backdrops and vistas, terrain and locations, and all sorts of irrelevant details that add bits of flavor and ambiance to scenes but don't necessarily inform on the story being told, and then massively miss most of what is happening, who the characters are and their motivations, and how all of it ties into the plot; instead... magic and artists and secrets. It's fun to witness an entirely foreign perspective on reality from their reactions to movies themes so alien to their experiences.

as a jewish person, I have such mixed feelings about them having no idea about antisemitism and holocaust. I do wish they understood the extreme barbarism of the nazi regime, such as the gas chambers and ovens we see behind the gate which magneto bent.
Ohh trust me, they understand barbarism.. India has had some really horrific events in their history from Central Asian invaders and then British colonialism.

As if Westerners know that India went through a massive famine in WW2 due to the supply chain disruption. 4 million people died to that alone.
