Next time I hear somebody ask what’s so great about vintage Strats anyway, I’m sending them this vid. Plus the right ten fingers and you can’t beat it. Great tone, great riffs. Well played, Sir!
Im pretty sure the pickups in this one are modern though. So then you get yourself into some tricky argument at that point about what components of the guitar are contributing to tone. Is it just the old body? Does old wood make that much of a difference even with new pickups? I don't have the answers. I still think his sunburst is the best sounding strat he has.
Incredible that so many strats have been produced with trems that don't get used, and it turns out the instrument is superior without the trem. And virtually every Warmoth strat body comes pre routed with a giant cavity in the back, search all hardtails: none. Guitar traditionalism is very small minded. Even the king of dad rock Joe Bonamassa says that hardtail strats sound better.
I don't know about if its your best tone like many other commentators said BUT that is my favorite guitar you have. It sound amazing. It looks amazing. It is amazing. Tear it up!
Great tone! Around 40 seconds or so, when you were playing with the A chord stuff, the tone reminded me of Brian May's sound on "It's Late". I guess it was the color of your guitar, LOL! Yeah, that guitar sounds as good as I was hoping it would! Congrats!
Looks like you assembled the '57 body and '64 neck strat. You mentioned, in a previous video, that your friend Joel put together the electronics/pups. He did an awesome job. It works so well with the body/neck. Great tones.
I think that base plate added at throaty roar to the bridge pickup. If you think telecaster now in a strat... Sounds wonderful. Its definitely got balls👍
That guitar has the best tone out of all your guitars.
Kinda hard for me to tell since I'm listening to his videos over the computer, but I tend to agree based on what I've heard so far.
Maybe this could generate an A / B of guitars plugged into the amp without modifying and see how they respond! it would be an excellent video
@@emanuelbaa1560 Great idea Emanuel!
What say you Matthew?
Totally agree ...
i like the 59 sunburst a little more. this one has a little to much grit imo
That is the best bridge pick up ive ever heard

Beyond your years, thanks for the inspiration you give.
That neck/middle position...How sweet the sound!
Damn, I cannot believe the tone that you can squeeze out of all of your guitars. You have an incredible talent!
Love that sound. Earthy, warm, how a strat should sound.
Makes me want to get a hard tail strat, and play it through my Super Reverb
I think I’ve watched this video 20 times in the last day. Absolutely wonderful tone.
as I said before, Can't beat the tones of a hardtail.
Damn Matt your double stops are Hendrix level, man. I just close my eyes and drift away. Sounds like happiness to me.
Man that tone is something special, the note separation went striking chords and arpeggios. I’d never let go of that guitar.
I get real excited when I get a notification from this great channel. Seriously keep up the great work Matthew great things are coming your way✌
This strat sounds the best and active of all yours.

@@TheDmonet agreed. I want an hardtail warmoth strat and i had to custom order the body, none in their showcase.

I think that base plate added at throaty roar to the bridge pickup. If you think telecaster now in a strat... Sounds wonderful. Its definitely got balls👍
