This year (2022) is no exception because it's already so bad in Buffalo that the NFL had to move the game to Detroit. Otherwise, it would have been... *BLIZZARD BOWL II!!!*
Great set of tackles. Being an Eagles fan & having Peters all those years was a pleasure. Joe Thomas is a legend. From going fishing with his dad on draft day to being the Browns best draft pick & player for years.
Here's the thing 6-12 inches of snow is fine for football games and it's a joy to watch them. 3-6 feet of snow, which will freeze very fast and very hard, is borderline unplayable football conditions. Honestly, the NFL made the right call with moving the game to Detroit.
From the latest reports I've heard there might not even be a game due to the Bills potentially not being able to make it to the airport, let alone have a safe flight to Detroit.
This was one of the few Browns games I’ve happened to see in person and it’s easily my favorite memory in that stadium. By the game’s end, riding the trolley back to our car, I had to remove my gloves and put my fingers in my mouth just to get feeling back in them. Totally worth watching this game.
I just LOVE weather games. It's a shame this week's game can't be played in Buffalo but i've seen the pictures and videos of the area and there's absolutely no way you can get fans and the Browns into the city safely. Anywho, this is some great stuff. Sadly as a Bills fan during the drought years it's situations like this that make drudgery of mediocrity somewhat fun.
Takes me back to my youth in buffalo in the early 90s. My friends and i would wake up early on a sunday morning and play snow football before the bills played at 1. Good times
Craziest Browns game I’ve ever been to… They kept saying we were getting all this snow that day and up until about an hour before kickoff it was partly cloudy. You could feel the moisture in the air and sure enough as soon as we left the muni lot it started coming down. In that 20 min walk to the stadium there was already 3” of snow and when we finally got to our seats, we had move at least 9-10” of snow to get to them. It was the best packing snow ever so of course being 21 and 22 year olds we participated in a snowball fight that was currently going on. The snowball fight was collectively fun but it soon turned into every browns fan in our section throwing snowballs at the 3-4 bills fans that just so happened to be up in our section. Eventually everyone stopped since these people were getting absolutely peppered with snow but unfortunately my knucklehead cousin decided to continue the assault and when asked to stop simply replied “F*** You”. Dumb move considering we had snuck at least 8 Busch Lights in our snow gear that day. Right as Phil Dawson kicked that miracle field goal we were escorted out of our seats then out of the stadium where we had to walk in a blizzard to the nearest bar. I guess security figured we were drinking underaged but discovered our crushed cans directly under our seats which proved fatal. The snow and wind would blow us sideways when we walked across the snowy and icy streets and at one point I didn’t think we would make it lol. I went to just about every home game that season it was a fun year to be a Browns fan.
I’m a Browns fan and I remember having so much fun watching this game at 6-7 years old. I could’ve sworn this game ended 8-5 though. I thought both teams had a safety and we had 2 field goals vs the Bills 1.
Man I was at this game, I dressed in layers, and didn't realize how bad that wind and snowy ice effects you when your sitting at the upper bowl. I so frozen I couldn't feel my legs, I remember the long corridors being filled with fallen people...and when exiting to the parking lot 3 ladies held onto each other, the wind took all 3 down to the floor...that lake effect is no joke.
To everyone who lives in this kind of mess every year.... Isn't it fun to watch elite athletes playing this game like us trying to cautiously get into work from your 4x4 in the morning.. lol.. penguin walk.. haha...
Man, this is how you know time changed. Remember when the Chiefs were 4-9 and weren't so much of a threat? And remember the Jacksonville Jaguars *actually* had 9 wins and wasn't today's clowns? Plus, A-Rod and Brady were in peak form
Giants vs lions ideas 2010 week 6 (Eli and Megatron battle in the meadowlands) 2016 week 15 ((playoff implications) 2000 week 12 ( the game that would begin Fassel's guarantee.)

That was awesome! Grown men playing pee wee football. I never got to play a game in the snow, it looks fun and frustrating at the same time. LeSean McCoy use to ball in the snow.
Every time the Bills and Browns play each other, there must be a record breaking massive snow storm.

It’s so awesome to see two future hall of fame lineman play in this game! (Joe Thomas, 2023 hopefully & Jason Peters)

Plus the fans would have to drive there and back 😂 which is terrible
It's a logistical nightmare for 80,000 fans and cars trying to file into the stadium with plows struggling to keep up clearing the streets
I’m mad and happy they moved it,I wanted a snow game but glad fans won’t suffer in buffalo anymore
@@carsongambaro yeah I heard that to.

3:24 points go to buffalo instead of browns on scoreboard
The year before this in October of 2006 Buffalo had an ice storm. Leaving many without power, trees down and basements flooded.
12:58 personal foul - unnecessary roughness - Cleveland Fans
Gus Johnson with the call on a snow game!
He never commentated a playoff game. I wonder why. Maybe because he's OVERRATED
Jamal Lewis coming to Cleveland makes even less sense today. It had to be a punishment 💯
Everyone talks about the lions vs eagles game, but this is the first game that comes to my mind when it comes to snow games.
maybe because this game was boring

The punt at 7:46 LMAO
Wow today they had to relocate from buffalo to Cleveland due to 6-7 feet of snow
Next game versus these 2 will be opening week😂 I hope it's a heat wave too.
This was the first 8-0 NFL game since 1929. On November 10 of that year, the Chicago Cardinals beat the Minneapolis Red Jackets by that score.
This is the game Awesome Dawson was born. Zig-zagging field goals in a blizzard. Amazing
Wow
Just amazing how dead center the second field goal was.

The Buffalo Bills has always played in the worst blizzards at home in Buffalo, however, this is in Cleveland and they got shut down in a 8-0 loss!!

2005-2013 was the worst stretch of the Bills playoff drought. Not a good time to be a fan.
these teams practice and train for THOUSANDS of hours. then mother nature turns it all on its head.
This was football…. No it takes all of us / end racism on the endzones…. No moving the game due to a snowstorm….
Tue snow game the bills had a few years back.... but after this game.....sammy watkins had a huge day in what seemed like at least 2 feet of snow
That has to be the most snow on the ground.I've ever seen within a few minutes of the first quarter starting
Hope Ford Field open the roof a bit to give Bills and Browns some snow

the nfl should seek out snowstorms have teams play in them whenever possible.
Went to the game and spilled a beer in my glove and froze my fingers
This video is why Gus Johnson is the best in the business. Jim Donovan isn’t even close.
kind of like rich gannin and the overatted pats if i rember that the browns lost
