I want to be able to play around with all of the cool "toys" that you get to. Thank you for letting me somewhat live vicariously through you.
I REALLY like this idea! Looking forward to the series, I have a budget mic and my budget radio speaker is distinguishably better. I turn up the volume for soft talkers, then get BLASTED by the repeater tail. Finding a more balanced speaker would be awesome!
As always good stuff and it leaves me wanting more from you!!!
Thanks for the videos
I'll be looking forward for the ICT10 speakermic review as well as the ICT-10 would love to hear about it.
I'm loving your recommendation of the speaker mic for the FT-65. Will you be doing a sidestep into a quick comparo of lapel mics also? Thanks for sharing. KC3UEE.
Hey there, good video. I have the ocean Q10G. I was wondering what microphone you recommend with that radio, specifically. Thanks for any input.
I wish people would dive into the ones for cellphones. Primarily the ones from around 5-20 Bucks. I'v seen one at a store previously named Five & Bellow
I have a nice Otto speaker mic but the cord is not coiled like yours and I really don’t know why they did that.
Do you have any extra Yaesu ft-60 that you no longer need or use? That's my dream radio, I would love to have one 🤩
Please make sure and differentiate between the three different Kenwood plugs! The plugs used by the majority of Chinese radios (and Kenwood amateur gear) is the K2 plug. K1 & K3 plugs are _very_ different!
I have some Radioddity & Baofeng mics that look just like the comm mountain mics and so far, the work great..I think I paid $25-30 for them.
Im very new to this but I have a uv5r with a baofeng speaker mic, i have it plugged into my ear pro and i can hear my radio through the ear pro when i have it all connected, but i can't transmit through the shoulder ptt mic (others can't hear me) unless i unplug it from the ear pro. The mic works fine with it unplugged from the ear pro and the only way for others to hear me when everything is connected is to us the radio mic which defeats the purpose, do you or anyone know what im doing wrong or is it because of the shoulder ptt mic? Id really appreciate some help, thanks in advance.
Sounds like a defective speaker mic. All of mine will transmit with an earpiece or headphone jumper plugged into the accessory port.
@@KS6DAY alright thanks, I appreciate the quick response too.
@@mortem-tyrannis If you're looking for speaker mic suggestions I did a video covering a few of the better K1 plug speaker mics. The Commountain unit is really good. BTech offers the exact same mic with their brand on it.
@@KS6DAY thanks I'll try and find it later tonight and give it a watch. The baofeng speaker mic works great by it's self but Im going to need something different it seems.
would be nice to see the otto storm in your next video
I definitely have plans to get to some Otto stuff very soon.
