great job - my fav walk in the world is from ocean beach to cherry grove, swim, eat, have a drink & then take the water taxi back to ocean beach. we try to go once a year. its beyond unique and never gets old.
we usually try to do a combo of the sunken forest, then down in the dunes and out on the beach on the walk. fyi its quite a ways, so be sure to take some water with you especially if its hot.
@@ActionKid I was hoping to see the beach + sea in the end. Wasn't there any? Did you do this further walk on Sat. 22 ? You have walk extremely a lot under hot sun while in Fire Island. You're a Hero! Thank you so much dear Kenneth for showing to Europeans such enjoyable discoverings 👏🙋😘🇮🇹
OMG TY! Trying to convince my friend to go here next week. PERFECT! TO EVERYONE.. GO..GO..GOOOOOOO! AMAZING! You will not believe how peaceful and far removed you feel.. like you went on a far away vacation. Check out his CHERRY GROVE video. Such a fun place. Lived and worked there last year. You can walk from one to the other. Things start to shut down mid September so don't WASTE TIME! Its an experience you didn't know you needed and won't regret! 💖💖💖💖
In Mc Henry county Illinois they have a walk-through something just like this one. Except they have (I don't know if it's a creek) but there's water throughout the area and the narrow bridge board walk just like yours hovers over all the water throughout the forrest. And that's still my favorite park to walk through because of all the water. Although I still gave you a thumbs up for this beautiful forrest, I have only one small 😬 gripe.... When you move your camera from side to side too fast, I get extremely dizzy. Lol I wish you could go back to using your gimble if at all possible. I wonder if you can walk through here in the fall time when all the trees change colors? I love you Action Kid!!! You're still amazing!!! 😅👍💖
This reminds me of when I used to be in the Girl Scouts. We would take hiking trips all the time and, yep, learned about poison ivy. I still know what the poison ivy roots look like. Thanks for sharing!! 😎
Wow, what an amazing place, I definitely want to visit next time I go NY. What happened at this point 16:39 did the walkway keep going to the right? You didn't show us!
Nice peaceful walk on this trail/boardwalk. Seems like you can avoid the ticks & poison ivy as long as you stay on the trail. How long a walk is it? Sylvia
I have been meaning to visit this place a couple years back but couldn't, thanks for showing this. 16:41 looks like this spot on the map and I see you going right backward, is there a different path going somewhere else? www.google.com/maps/@40.6563566,-73.1167017,839m/data=!3m1!1e3
Unfortunately the sunken forest is being slowly eaten away by salt water. Its simply caused by rising sea levels and there's really nothing that can be done to fight that effect..
18:50. They even stopped so you could finally walk past them and leave them alone. That’s some stalking shit right there bro. Walk the other way. Creepy
Thanks for elevating the Sunken Forest for all to see.

The suv at the end. Just knew it was over. 🤣
I have always been curious about Fire Island as a movie buff fan of Montgomery Clift.

Hi can you explain how to get there by train? And the ferry ride thanks
