Nice choice dude! Yep I'm honestly really impressed with what they did. I know plenty of people are hoping they make some alt heads for Marvel Legends and some DC Multiverse figures too since they showed just how they can do with the He-Man one.
The Face is based on the Concept art drawing from before they had the actor nailed down.
Oh nice! Thanks for letting me know that. I am not a giant He-Man fan so didn't know that. I actually think the Skeletor isn't too bad. Though I do wish it had a real hood instead of being molded in.
Didn't know you could upgrade/update a figure like that. They even have effect parts and accessories, really neat.
Yeah! It's pretty crazy how intense any hobby can get because the things a person outside the hobby might think is a minor thing might end up being a super critical thing for the hobbyist.

Hahahaha I hadn't even thought of that one either! Someone else had mentioned the original head looks like one of the members of Guns N' Roses and you already know who I think it looks like. So clearly the head looks like everyone EXCEPT Dolph Lundgren haha!

That would be awesome! Super7 did make a God Skeletor figure and it actually does look really good, but man it's a bit expensive now since it's no longer being sold.
They need to do a McFarlene head for Superman Shrek and Michael Keaton , Macfarlene doesn’t do good heads and people are looking for replacements
Superman Shrek hahahaha that's hilarious! There's no way I'll ever call it anything else at this point. But yeah I'd love to see Ramen Toys take a crack at some more heads because I honestly feel like they did an amazing job on this one.

I wasn't actually even planning to get the Origins one, but at the price they were selling at I was like sure why the heck not? And I was TOTALLY thinking about how funny it would be for someone to create some kind of custom three headed He-Man haha! Does that mean he'd have 3x the Power?? 🤣🤣🤣

Mattel's headsculpt is quite ugly but is also very obvious that a handmade custom headsculpt is going to be better
Well technically these heads are mass produced(though at a smaller quantity) in a factory just the same as Mattel! So I think it's really the original sculpt that is at fault.

I think it's fine to throw shade at Mattel when they've earned it outright! The head sculpt that they've offered for the movie figure(s) are absolutely TERRIBLE at best! Sub-par, mediocre efforts worthy of the mid 1990s. Those He-Man figures looking nothing like the film character--not even as a generic version! They're just very BAD! Ick!
These three Ramen heads are 100% better in every single way possible! Shame on Mattel for producing such lousy goods in the first place, but bravo to Ramen for offering quality upgrades! Clearly, Ramen toys care about producing good quality product! Too bad Mattel doesn't have the same high standards.
I wish Ramen did stuff for Marvel Legends figures! For instance, I'd love to get upgraded heads for Molecular Man in order to make him look like his original comic book look. I'd also like a screaming head for Siryn, etc!
Ramen should start sculpting a new Superman head for that McFarlane Superman/Superman Earth 3 two-pack! lol. That Superman head sculpt is the WORST Superman head sculpt that I've ever seen, so it needs a 3rd party like Ramen to step in!

But yeah I really think Ramen Toys did an amazing job with this so I'm really excited to see what they do with the Ramen Racer. And if you aren't following them they were also making a figure they were calling "Maverick" that looked a lot like Tom Cruise from Top Gun. Unfortunately they got into a little trouble with the branding I think so they are reworking it a bit, but it looked pretty great from what they had shown so far.
But yeah I think you're right that if they branch out into some Legends stuff that they could probably not only make some awesome heads, but make a ton of money from it. I'm very confident people would HAPPILY pay the 16 bucks for alternate heads for current figures. Like a buddy of mine paid $40 bucks for a custom Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield head EACH. It's not a bad deal at all, but at the scale Ramen Toys could do it, they could charge less and still make a bundle on it!
Dude I thought that new Superman head was some kind of social media filter someone had applied to the regular Superman head! So I just kept scrolling when I first saw it hahaha but yeah it's SOOOO weird looking!

The main point of the video was to try to help promote a small business that makes a great product! I do think the rest of the figure is actually really nice. I was actually really bummed when Mattel lost the DC license because I was really happy with their last wave(Batman Beyond is one of my favorite characters) and was ready for more.
Haha! What I'd like to see is someone that is really skilled at painting to see if they can paint the Mattel head to look like the actor. I've seen people do that with other heads before and drastically change the appearance, but I feel like it would be impossible with the Mattel one because the proportions seem just so far off.
