I came across this video as I grew up in one of the houses opposite the 4th Air Raid shelter in this video, and have been trying to find more history on the hamlet. I used to play in that shelter as a child and there was also another shelter in the garden of our house. You’re right, there’s a lot of shelters for so few houses!
I’ve learnt a lot more about these from your videos so thank you so much!

Thanks Liz, that's great to hear. There's some great local knowledge on Facebook if you use that. For example this New Forest WW2 Heritage one: facebook.com/groups/400948317956198 and also the Fawley memories page: facebook.com/groups/1484107968492221
You might already know of them, but very useful resources

There is one by Taddiford Gap in between Barton on sea and Milford, thanks so much for your videos I grew up in New Milton so I know the area well, loved RAF Beaulieu episodes.

Thanks T Bone, always great to get feedback. I visited the Taddiford Gap one recently actually. The farmer was kind enough to show me around his farm too, and he's got buildings from Beaulieu Airfield there which the farm bought after the war. If you use Facebook , you might enjoy this group I run as people post photos and places in there every day: facebook.com/groups/400948317956198

@@TrexplorerUK That's a pleasure I really value your work, Google Maps led me to your RAF Beaulieu website where I discovered the link to the video and I was impressed at the depth and detail regarding the former airfield. Thanks for the Facebook link I will check it out.Seeing the forest in the videos brings back some nice memories.

I’m pretty sure there is one of these located near the dibden golf course in the farm entrance just before the cemetery. Not sure if you may have seen it already

Interesting! I have one you could locate - If you look at the location of Marchwood ROC post West of the A326 bypass, about 100 metres West of the post is one of these shelters. I'd always thought it was connected to some ruins nearby - Now I know its purpose. Awesome work documenting this!

I wonder why they all have a hole knocked through the back of them ? It would take a lot of hard work to do that. Probably with a just a sledge hammer too.
