      Must be all the Tellus 68 Hydrolic oil I use .. lol, because this isn't an old Singer Sewing Machine lol

      Don't know how long they have been selling them, at least since early 1980's so your probably right.
      I've had mine about 15 years

    Epoxy granite plus steel rods like rebar back filled in the empty castings will add mass needed for vibration mitigation as well as limiting any flex..epoxy granite is simply 80% to 90% mix of dry sand and dry pea gravel with the rest of it being standard epoxy such as boat fiberglass resin etc..even without rods will add so much mass when the base and column is filled with epoxy granite it will allow for much bigger depths of cut as it just soaks up any vibration stopping chatter..
