This phone reminds me of several Nokia phones of yesteryear. I had several of these bad boys and they were awesome. Back when Nokia was king of the hill when it came to cellphones. For quite a while, Motorola was the only other credible alternative, with BlackBerry lurking around as well...but Nokia was always my choice!
I had the 225 but it was HORRID. The phone freezing up is CONSTANT Even when I took out the battery for 10 min and put the battery in, the SAME frozen screen will still appear. It is a known bug but still Nokia puts that pos on the market. It's 70$ no. Hell no. I got this 110 4g instead. It's quick. And RELIABLE. IT does not have Bluetooth which is its ONLY stinker. 😥 It's 45$ Amazon. The 225 is now in a drawer. Rotting. 📱 M. Illinois.
I like the feature phone designs better than their smartphone designs. It looks good - and i am sure it does what it is meant to do. I dont think those kinds of phones need higher specs in resolution or features. They are alternative phones for long stand-by. However, i do miss the premium feature phone alternative - like the 8800 arte gold/sapphire (the original Sirocco) In that respect - Nokia has not changed their designs too much. Still a good design, but they nailed it some years ago already. The design language is clear and simple, no extra bells and whistles. Nothing extravagant, no fancy sliding or turning mechanism - no satisfying smooth action about it. So i would say that a phone like the 110 is not a phone for the ages. Not a phone that will make it to "cult" status. A pure utility - but a nice one. edit: as for de-valuation ... mint condition 8800 Sirocco phones STILL go for high prices ... their appreciation has not dropped nearly as much as pretty much all smartphones (including Apple)
I agree. It's a part of the reason I enjoy covering such basic phones. Their simplicity and focus on function is quite charming, plus some interesting colour options! The prices of used or almost new 8800 type of devices is super expensive. I can understand why, because these phones are timeless. Almost like buying an expensive watch. I only got to use the 8800 sirocco version, all black, and it left quite an impression on me

Considering the main thing you'll be doing on this is calling, I don't find it to be a deal breaker. But yeah, if you spend more, you'll get a bigger display
Don't know how useful a camera and video player is on something like this. You probably couldn't make anything out. If I called the shots I'd trade that for a bigger or higher resolution mono OLED screen if possible. More readable + better battery life

I think all Nokia's feature phones that would be released in this year onward should have a usb-c port by now. Also am I the only one who thinks their feature phones are getting dumber and uglier? no progress or design improvement at all, and that price tag, its not even cheap, was expecting it to be around 40 bucks at the most.
Nice, but my real interest into those new old series of phones is Java apps. If J2ME isn't supposed then I see little point in getting the phone, even tho I miss that form factor a lot.

@@s8wc3 a nokia c2-01 used to cost $120 and the screen resolution alone kicked all these new phones in the bottom! It's no competition if you compare it to any of these phones.

If Nokia just build a simple android phone that has a keyboard or a keypad, people will certainly buy it, they make really good basic phones, some people just need 4g connection, android apps like messaging and some social media apps, RCS and a decent camera. Just with those Nokia will surely have a marketshare.
One of the major drawback with s30 is only 10 items missed, received or dialed call log and being unable to search contacts by surname. Its about time Nokia brings update to the s30 platform. and yes dont mention KaiOS platform. That is so buggy and laggy that it is unusable.
I agree with your comment on the missing features. Most businesses would buy cheap phones like this model for their employees to be on-call and note-taking would be a great utility application for such purposes.

I have a Nokia 110 4g 2023. Even the Nokia manual doesn't tell you everything. Why doesn't anyone make a video on how to enable mms? I for this phone for that but I still can't receive the larger photos from a smart phone etc. MMS was supposed to solve that. Nokia also doesn't tell you in the manual, what you have to select to dial calls that aren't in you call list. Can someone help me with these 2 things?
I bought that phone few months back just because its have nice and snappy OS only one thing what I don't like is little bit quiet speaker while you listen radio or music and lack of bt , I have Nokia 6300 4g and kai os is so terrible , so slow and have major problem with alarm... changing times randomly sometimes work sometimes not... for me its useless phone while alarm does not work properly. I have of course Smartphone too but ... but Every day I hate this more just distract so much and is so hard not using it even if we uninstall apps ... because Is so easy to get this shit back.... I thinking to sold out all my phones and maybe get Nokia 2660 4g just because I need Bluetooth connect phone with my car for phone calls , and will be nice if that phone will have Wifi hotspot too would be helpfull while trips :)
Does anyone have a problem with the keyboard lacking lighting? I can’t see the numbers or letters when it is dusky or dark, which makes the phone useless for emergencies.
What's your average battery like? These numbers always seem a bit exaggerated or based on a very specific usage pattern that is hard to replicate in real life
It looks great on the outside, but the inside is not that promising.. I've got nokia 220 for a decade now and it did cross my mind to replace it, but the menu design and its general features are way better, so I'll probably stick with it till it breaks.. 😅

This phone has an excellent keyboard and navigation key. I can get about 5 days usage between charges with light usage.
Feature phones look better then most of the regular phones 😂

I have this and the 105 4G and I can confirm I have got nowhere near the battery timings Nokia have quoted.

Hi Tina. When you want to write a text, press on the # key till you enable it. You will find Abc underlined, that's when you know its enabled
