I watched the original anime and read through the manga several years ago. Your entire catalog of Berserk videos have really helped me remember parts of the story and dialogue I've long forgotten. It's much appreciated as new chapters slowly come out. Thank you!!
I have a theory that Skull Knights and Void's relationship is Guts and Griffith's but in reverse. In Skull Knights case Skull Knight was originally King Gaiseric and his number 1 man was Void however Void lusted after Skull Knight's Queen. Once it became clear that he could never have her he betrayed his two best friends and sacrificed them and the kingdom he helped build to become Void.
Jip, more or less also my theory! Only some questions left: How did he manage to survive this invocation of doom? And when did he turn into skull knight? I'm really looking forward to this background story!
It could be maybe! The holy see and old stories say that the king got greedy and currupted and the priest tries to stop him that's why he was prisoned and tortured than he prayed to god to help him by sending 4 or 5 angels to stop the king maybe the whole story got currupted we dont know what realy happened what we do know is the crimson behelit is used to become a.god hand member in a moment of dispair and near death like griffith so void must've been tortured
I think Void standing with four different 'God Hand' members was when he joined them. I don't think that he created them in the sense that he was the first human to transcend into demon hood, but as they are known in the present. The group existed before Void but he was the one that made them known as the 'God Hand', he was the one that crafted the hand that the members stood upon.
This sort of gives me an idea. We know that there were four elemental kings before, it almost seems like the God Hand might be meant to be a kind of replacement for the divine powers of creation under the influence and command of the Idea of Evil
My thought is that Void may have been the founder of the Holy See or some variation of it. He may have had dedicated followers, and he was willing to sacrifice them to transcend into the Godhand.
If Void was the Sage, the Sage might have loved the kingdom and its people so that was why he tried to liberate it by protesting and got caught. By the time he got all the tortures he could have come to the conclusion that nothing mortal could beat the king so he became an immortal in sacrifice of the kingdom instead
Griffith also sacrificed a city when he incarnated, and that's most likely the same event that happened 1000 years ago when Void sacrificed its own city. The God hand doesn't need a strong connection to those people to the ceremony of incarnation be successful, just them to firmly believe he's their salvation. That conflicts with the popular believe that Void was the sage incarcelated, because Void was most likely the Angel (God Hand) coming down from heaven (getting incarnated) instead.
He has my respect but he was also extremely foolish, now we have to pick up the pieces because he lacked the foresight to detail the story to his team. He never considered that a sick overworked man could die? What an incredibly irresponsible thing to do to himself and his audience.

Gaiseric could be void of the god hand, just like griffith, while skull knight could be like Guts, being Gaiseric's right hand man, until he sacrificed his kingdom to serve causality, just like griffith could sacrifice falconia (dont know if i spelled that right) for causality. Just a thought i had.
@@Gsogreat because he was the original King Gaiseric, just the human one, not the Demon incarnated one that conquered the whole world. Skull Knight Gaiseric was just a fair successful king but not the legendary one.
so many awesome theories, i like the idea of void being gaiseric's sage that was tortured almost like a reverse of guts and griffith, and a capital city of an empire that spanned all of mankind made a being as powerful as Void (theoretically) so imagine what'll happen when griffith sacrifices literally all of mankind in falconia, possibly becoming a true physical host for the idea of evil
I've always tossed the idea of a game that is a prequel of berserk, giving the new writer some room to create the rise/fall of King Gaiseric. Imagine playing a soldier witnessing the rise, or not knowing you're Gaiseric, or maybe even VOID. ahhhh it would be insane.

What I love about King Gaiseric is that he’s basically the embodiment of “You either die a hero or live long enough to see yourself become the villain” because he united a nation but once he finally reached his goal he became a corrupted monarch which lead to him betray his friend who was the sage/void. And maybe the reason the godhand from 1000 years ago were essentially gods that humans from back then pray to
Yeah and to continue on that theory, I think void is the first ever Human to become a godhand, the other four we see in skull knight's memory are the 4 angels that "saved" void and from there void seduced the other God hand members, so basically void created the God hand, the other four are pure angelic creatures while the god hand were humans, that's why they still resemble some human features and the angels don't.
@@LRodz279 yeah and if the idea of evil is really created by humans, then it explains why it would want angels that serves it that are humans, because if we look at the omitted chapter, the idea of evil doesn't have a plan for humanity, so it basically gives power to those who had a dream, or purpose
Is there any information on what happens to former godhand members and why? All of the godhand members except for Void are different in the current timeline versus the ones we see in King Gaiserick's memory. If they go into the abyss the way it seems to be implied, why and what is the timetable and purpose of that? Why would you need to basically rotate members of the godhand out every once in a while?
All the old god hands were most likely made from magical creatures thus why their appearance is different form the current god hands and they all likely jumped into the vortex because their era was coming to an end.
I think they just get replaced. It is said that every 216 years a new member of the godhand are born. Where they go beats me but I like to think they are further descend in the bowls of the astra realm where they are close to the berserks version of “hell” where they rule.
I stick to my hypothesis that there's a king Gaiseric (skull knight) but there was also another king Gaiseric in the first incarnated God hand of 1000 years ago, and that "fake" king Gaiseric to say, was the real one who conquered the whole world and was eventually defeated by most likely Flora and the 4 elemental Kings, and turned back to his astral body alone. That might sound as a crazy story but it fits with the branded city that skull knight saw at the end of his flashback and will explain as well why there's no incarnated God hand still alive from that 1000 year old ceremony. And again, it also fits with the 216 years narrative, because that way you might need six eclipses to get the actual 5 god hand member because the first one which was incarnated was destroyed and needed another eclipse to reappear.
@@Gsogreat dead? I mean, I don't know. But he ain't with us for sure, because you can't see the entity that had incarnated a 1000 years ago and we know FOR SURE, someone was incarnated by that time, because Skull Knight himself told us when he saw Griffith being incarnated. In this case, my bet is that the Lady Priestess of the Cherry Blossoms shared body with that incarnated God Hand, and she overthrow him, taking full control of its body and ending the reign of the "legendary" King Gaiseric.
@@Fixundfertig1 Bro I like that theory, I guess I'm wrestling with the shared body because I thought the moonlight child was a fluke, or does causality deem each incarnated Godhand have a weakness of a shared body? So is that the obvious key to destroying Griffith the moonlight child, but for an unobvious reason that an incarnated Godhand can be sacrificed if the shared body personality is marked with a brand of sacrifice? Does this niche occurrence happen every thousand years? If so would Guts sacrifice his son to destroy Griffith and refuse the ceremony but magick bind his soul to this world, like Skull knight? Repeating the process to know effect?
The concepts of ideas is potent in berserk. The idea of evil was formed from the countless negative emotions generated from years and years of magic and emotion. That would imply that if someones will was strong enough, then that idea or vision can become tangible. If that concept is used to take on the god hand, i cant wait to see how it plays out.
What happened to Gaiseric 1- I believe Gaiseric found magic that he had no business messing with. Remember, the 4 godhands before were never humans. What I believe is the first eclipse was a "false eclipse", remember when Guts and Casca reunited and all heck happened, that kind of false eclipse. Gaiseric had two or more magics mix and that caused the "first eclipse". 2- Void was a man who was tortured at the sight. If you look at his body, you will see he's been a victim, not survivor of it. So to save his life and maybe even spite, Void brought about the first eclipse, I'm thinking second son complex or jealous/angry friend who was there from the beginning. 3- Who fathered the kids that have Gaiseric's blood, well.... How many brothers do you think Gaiseric hand? I'm leaning towards Zodd being his brother who continued his bloodline. We meet Zodd in a castle (Dukes, whom are brothers to kings live in castles it could've been his castle. Also, he is decent to the women and indeed is noble. I can see him having a family with descendants. 4- Void had a kid.... well Void, I believed was Gaiseric's magician and worked with the faeries on the island. He was either training there or was an emissary.
The more discussions I see on Gaiseric/Skull knight, the more parallels I see between him and Griffith, rather than him and Guts. Specially with how Berserk’s has developed since Griffith came back. What if the true threat of berserk is guts becoming the next Void?
So the theory is king Gaiseric turned into skull knight, "You must sacrifice what's most important to you and what you love". But it was resentment, and anger. Void and skull knight were born in the same day from the lore, so maybe guts will too, which is called ascension.
What if we already know how the sacrifice occurred since we have all seen or read FMA. Void’s flesh and bones created beherits as a gift to the king allowing him to turn into Zodd slaying his enemies. Eventually the king grew gluttonous and wretched but lost his ability to feel any of those pleasures. This led him to Elfhiem to restore his body. Since the king turned himself into a monster, restoring his humanity after becoming an apostle must have broken all types of magical rules by splitting his beast from him permanently. This created Zodd and changed the king. This forced change was the taboo. Since flora gave him the means to restore himself she was banished. Discovering that Void had discovered dangerous magic, he was tortured but not killed because the implications of killing him were not understood. Because the king lost his edge, he needed the Berserker armor to meet any new foes. Failing to understand the implications of void using his flesh and bones to give beherits form, void cried out to his master and offering his body in exchange for vengeance. The sacrifice was accepted, the demons were unleashed, the idea of evil was give material form, and king fought with all that he had until his love with her dying breath sealed him in the armor with her blood.
My theory is Gaiseric was from Elfhelm had more of a connection to magic/astral world. Void was probably sage under him. When Void became a god hand member the whole god hand was created at once from his followers, however the 4 kings intervened and killed the other 4 (which is why there is the confusion with how many angels) this forced Void and the idea of evil to have to slowly rebuild.
I think it's going to end with one big sacrifice including the god hand. If everything is in cycles and goes in a spiral, I can see Griffith sacrificing his kingdom to gain more power.
I have three theories about Gaiseric's fall. 1: Someone who was one of Gaiseric's slaves somehow got his/her's hand on the same necklace Griffith had and destroyed the capital. 2: Someone close to Gaiseric betrayed him and used the necklace the same way Griffith used it to betray his friends. 3: Gaiseric realized his empire built on the backs of slaves was not a good thing, got his hands on the necklace, destroyed everything he built and disappeared. 1 or 2 makes more sense.
So is Midland representative of England, or a mix of rome and Italy and paris because I take the fallen kingdom is like the catacombs of france with the gravesite being like that in paris
@@davevang893 it makes since since they dont know where geiseric came from ...The viking were always wearing with Anglo saxons who resemble Griffth in thier paintings. but what do you think Midland is My take is England
I wonder if maybe the void and gaiseric both used the behelit at the same time maybe gaiserics wife had an afair with void and after gaiseric found out he traped void torturing him and later void used his behelit sacrificing gaiserics wife to become an apostle and later gaiseric got himself the berserker armor and a behelit so he could call on them to get his revenge in the process sacrificing his kingdom that could also be the reason he survived the eclipse as berserker armor killed him his behelit brought him back or at least kept him alive
If those bodies were sacrifices (obviously), wouldn't their corpses have been eaten by the Apostles? In that case, they wouldn't have been left intact.
Gaiseric’s story I get, the idea of evil, ok. It’s the egg apostle I’m confused af about. What happened between him & Guts son 😩😓 Also why you use a panel from kingdom? Lmao
I believe that the Egg of the world (Egg apostle) and the Demon child fused with each other to form a physical body for Griffith, a body that Griffith shares with The Moonlight Boy, who is The Demon Child as he would’ve been had he not been corrupted by Griffith’s rape of Casca
Egg sacrifices himself as a new body for Griffith but Egg also eats the fetus so they fuse and now both Moonlight boy and Griffith share the same body with the boy coming out at full moons.
So Void became the 5th Godhand of his day, and the other 4 he joined have somehow died in the last 1,000 years, and were replaced by the bunch we see now?
Well in my opinion I think the other 4 were not part of the godhand because every member of the godhand still resembles part of his human features, while the other four, looked purely angelic. So my theory suggests that void was the first ever Human to tap into the demon world and achieve godhood, after that he created the behilet to seduce the other members.
I think they were killed by Skull Knight while he was alive and used Berserker armor enraged by his lover's death. All but Void who recreated the God Hand.
Just cos its hilarious youve used the word pantheon in the wrong context. The pantheon was a building yes but its a temple. Also the word Pantheon relates to a collection of gods hence why the temple in rome is called the pantheon as its for all of the gods. 😂 but i srill understood what was being said. Just thought it was funny 🤣
He brought everyone together, overworked the populous to build an ultimate city and live a lavish lifestyle, somehow got the Berserker armour, pissed off goat dudes dad who spoke against him, Skullface imprisoned and torture him until he became Void and destroyed Geiserdicks city and killed his bitch. Somehow his soul got stuck in skull armour and he devoted himself to killing Void and his band of jolly immortal demons. He sees similarities to himself in Guts and follows around. That's all we know. And his bitch became the ruler of the elves somehow.
I think skull knight went through the transformation by the god hand but turned around and tried to save everyone from being sacrifices. He ruptured the ceremony and everyone with the brand fled but met the same fate as guts: eternaly hunted by nightmares till they died. Thats why the skeletons didnt return to dust after 1000 of years I base this theory on imagination cuz im sick in bed lol

I think it's going to end with one big sacrifice including the god hand. If everything is in cycles and goes in a spiral, I can see Griffith sacrificing his kingdom to gain more power.
The only way to know how berserk is going to end is to know what the intentions of the ideal of evil is.
@@davevang893 human nature. Look at history we repeat the same sins every era
Is that a thing an apostle or a god hand can sacrfice a second time?
I have three theories about Gaiseric's fall.
1: Someone who was one of Gaiseric's slaves somehow got his/her's hand on the same necklace Griffith had and destroyed the capital.
2: Someone close to Gaiseric betrayed him and used the necklace the same way Griffith used it to betray his friends.
3: Gaiseric realized his empire built on the backs of slaves was not a good thing, got his hands on the necklace, destroyed everything he built and disappeared.
1 or 2 makes more sense.
How did you create Legolas in your Dragons Dogma: Solo Ranger video?
So is Midland representative of England, or a mix of rome and Italy and paris because I take the fallen kingdom is like the catacombs of france with the gravesite being like that in paris
Gaiseric's kingdom is a representation of Roam
@@davevang893 it makes since since they dont know where geiseric came from ...The viking were always wearing with Anglo saxons who resemble Griffth in thier paintings. but what do you think Midland is My take is England
Aaahh.. the god emperor of mankind's tutorial sessions
Well when Griffith was being persuaded to become a God hand void mentioned there were former God hand members before the current ones
It's heavily theorized and low key implied that skull knight killed the 4 prior apostles.
Were the entities with void merely apostles
I wonder if maybe the void and gaiseric both used the behelit at the same time maybe gaiserics wife had an afair with void and after gaiseric found out he traped void torturing him and later void used his behelit sacrificing gaiserics wife to become an apostle and later gaiseric got himself the berserker armor and a behelit so he could call on them to get his revenge in the process sacrificing his kingdom that could also be the reason he survived the eclipse as berserker armor killed him his behelit brought him back or at least kept him alive
I wonder if gut's called skull knight "king Gaiseric" what skull knights reaction would be??? 🤔
Dopeness
5 angels,5 members of the god hand, yea this was just history repeating itself
Damn, I thought Casca was gonna be ur VERY LAST video on Berserk..? I'm guessing that that Berserk money is too good to let stop coming in 😂😂😂
don't get me wrong all your content is lovely but when is about BERSERK or TEKKEN I love you more
Its sad that after 34 years the manga still isn’t done. You think if he hadn’t taken so many breaks it would be finished?
I doubt it, I always assumed that the long breaks were because of Miura’s health and/or dealing with the heavy subject matter of Berserk
❤❤❤❤
Is ~6:25 Miura's nod to Araki's Jojo?
If those bodies were sacrifices (obviously), wouldn't their corpses have been eaten by the Apostles? In that case, they wouldn't have been left intact.
If the whole city of ten thousands of people was sacrificed I mean... also those corpses were under a collapsed city.
So Skull Knight has two main enemies, Zodd and Void.
11:51 Wait Voids son?
That was most likely a mistake by them the old wizard is not void's son
I think zod is actually guts father
The question is why is void still here after a 1000 years when it said that every 260 years a new god hand member rises
216 yeara
Am I the only one who notices similarities between King Gaiseric and Alexander The Great?
Using that A.I. generated Berserk I see
Gaiseric’s story I get, the idea of evil, ok. It’s the egg apostle I’m confused af about. What happened between him & Guts son 😩😓
Also why you use a panel from kingdom?
@@basselhatem2 I think I can see that too
I think they were killed by Skull Knight while he was alive and used Berserker armor enraged by his lover's death. All but Void who recreated the God Hand.
@@adamkoxxl that makes a lot of sense to me
Gaiseric's empire was not more dangerous than Falconia.
Thats why the skeletons didnt return to dust after 1000 of years
I base this theory on imagination cuz im sick in bed lol
I like it
Shameless top war fake game lol.

I say gasheric is void and he sacrificed his kingdom and subjects to become an immortal god hand , and the skull knight was one of his knights that survived and it is parelle to Griffith and guts
Why did Miura make the case for Skullnight being King Gaiseric then?
Skull knight is literally being referred to as your majesty.
@@adamkoxxl right! 🤣
