They are also on the ledges of the bridge tho lol, there's just a very thin sliver on the very edge that the trigger doesn't hit, it's relatively precise
@@PowuhToSeven yes, and there is also a setup where you can slide off the hill on the right side where you start the game (the strat most TAS videos use)
@@miksuwaaan7527 Might aswell just learn lakitu skip instead of learning a trick where falling into the water or ledge grabbing has a great chance of occuring, trust me man, lakitu skip isn't so bad, and I have a 21 minute 16 star pb
Just wanted to let you know that a similar setup is now the norm in blindfolded speedruns, amazing find!
why would you setup for a lakitu skip when it's faster to do the dialogue lmao
@@freshrockpapa-e7799 it saves around 3-4 seconds on average so its faster than dialogue!
Bubzia you are a boss 😎
@@freshrockpapa-e7799 it's definitely faster to skip it even with a setup.
@@silasnebulous4533 why don't blindfolded speedrunners skip lakitu then?
Legend has it, Lakitu is still waiting out here to this day
Yeah this skip is harder than it looks, im better at it now tho
I finally understand how it works- the triggers are on the bridge. not on the ledges...
They are also on the ledges of the bridge tho lol, there's just a very thin sliver on the very edge that the trigger doesn't hit, it's relatively precise
It's a pretty hard skip. You can't have all of Mario on the ledge. That's why the setup requires Mario half on and half off the ledge
Thanks man this will probably help me speedrun a bit faster
I'm not a noob. Ive been speedrunning this game for years. But I've never seen this version of Lakitu skip. I usually do it the normal/faster way
what's your PB, and how many stars?
Yeah the best set up I've seen was 2 long jumps towards the first window to the right then you should be straightened out to jump along the bridge.
@@PowuhToSeven yes, and there is also a setup where you can slide off the hill on the right side where you start the game (the strat most TAS videos use)
Wanna know more about this
i accidentally got lakitu skip once is it actually hard
its super easy if you know what you're doing
I also got it a few thousand times :)
No it's not
Isn't it just run along the ledge?
It's probably the easiest trick in the entirety of 120 star.
@@silasnebulous4533 no, the only place where it doesn't trigger lakitu is in the ledge in the middle of the bridge
Bubzia does this
this helped Thanks!
thanks im a fucking loser and i cant lakitu skip, this helped
Not worth learning, but still funny.
Im remember when im was noob at this game im accidentally skipped it by the pro way😮
Why does Mario not have a shadow?
They’re playing on an emulator. Not all of them display shadows properly.
ya
ho
Does that actually save any time at all?
if u do it fast, its probably faster than talking to lakitu
@@qae5537 Doing it fast this way is like 3x harder than just doing lakitu skip with cheese strat
Saves 2.9 seconds according to the description

@@GekkiSpeedruns I'm not defending this strat, I just answered your question. I don't even run sm64, I run Astro's Playroom
More like for you

Thx
If he’s there who’s filming 😳
After 4 likes no one like anymore
😀😀😀
Downvoted as this is misleading and there are better ways to set up.
Upvoted because creator liked my comment.
Liked for speaking da truth 👐
Lemme do a test also like dislike if fake like if real reply if you got a different emulator that makes this not work
