    WOW 140,000 subs! I remember when it was 10,000 subs! I gotta say, you're tutorials helped me so much! I did an internship that involved just sitting around helping kids learn how to use a computer. I used your tutorials to learn the basic and i created graphic designs, animations and youtube intro graphics for the non-profit organization. The kids got involved too and loved it! Now I'm just editing my fitness progress videos on my channel. You are the man! keep on teaching!!!!!

    Love that scene in Jurassic Park, so many continuity mistakes, like the goats leg disappearing between shots, the car door being open in one shot closed in the next and closed by Tim in the next... also (but not a continuity issue) when the Rex flips the car you can clearly see set lights in the background, still a great movie :) and probably the reason I'm interested in film making.

    • @SurfacedStudio
      @SurfacedStudio  2 года назад

      I have indeed, though I can’t say I was looking for lack of continuity specifically. A lot of older (and even newer) tv shows and movies have lots of problems with that - it’s difficult if you take multiple shots and there’s so much involved across days, months and years

    I recently found some little mistakes in the series "The Flash". In one scene two characters are talking to each other in a bar and you can see their whole upper bodies. However, in one camera angle the hand of one of them lies flat on the table, in another one it is clenched to a fist. In another scene you can clearly see the Android home screen while the protagonist is pretending to make a phone call :D

  • @JCTVFrance
    @JCTVFrance 8 лет назад

    Nice point of view, but some film makers seem to like it. They call that " editing glitch" ( I saw some making of with Robert Rodriguez where he talk about it). And like you said on the video, even in big budget movies we can always meet the problem. Sometimes it is just to have the face of the character when the angle of the camera is changing, sometimes it is a timing problem ( the most comun is the size of a cigarette ! lol),etc...
    But anyway, I liked your point of view and it is good to make people aware about it !

    To avoid ''jump cuts'' in ex interviews one additional thing you can do to save the footage, is to add some interior clips in between when something unwanted might have happend, and the transition will be less noticable

    If i film two people talking in a street and when i take another shot focusing on one person the people behind him will change how can i get rid of this problem ...sorry if u didn't understand the question.

    • @SurfacedStudio
      @SurfacedStudio  8 лет назад

      +SADNAN ADIB If you're in public you simply can't. You need to use extras (everyone in the shot needs to be part of your crew) to manage that and even then it's hard. Might not even be necessary unless people are standing out in the background

    I've been following up on your recent tutorials and I've gotta say, I don't really like the new background. I preferred it when it was white. Also not sure if it's only for this series but I also liked the paint splats at the end for your outro

    • @SurfacedStudio
      @SurfacedStudio  8 лет назад +3

      +Atharv Sankholkar I appreciate the feedback :) I felt the white was a little bit too sterile - and because it was against a wall in my room I had very little control over the lighting. I'm still playing with options, at least this one let's me easily do stick figure animations haha And yes the splats are at the end of every single one of my videos ;)

    Hi! Tobias, can you please teach me some vfx that Hollywood uses like vfx breakdown, they have cool things they do but I can't understand how to make those vfx that are shown on vfx breakdown like ruclips.net/video/Lgq-CkwxkCg/видео.html i like the part when he jumps inside a car, how was it done, and ruclips.net/video/pszNJBHpFKw/видео.html there are many vfx breakdowns, and I want to learn like that so I can make that way. If you are making or have these kind of tutorials please let me know. I want to learn and want to make films in green screen only so if I don't know thos kind of vfx I won't be able to create that way, Thanks I'll be waiting.

      ? I don't know what you mean. If you film something and have no continuity your viewers will get very confused - at times that might be what you want, but most of the time it's likely not
