After watching videos of both, I can definitely tell how much more capable the Talaria is on trails than the surron light bee is. And as for upgrades, not in the least worried. So many of these Talarias being sold so they’ll be plenty suppliers lining up to fill the demand. Personally I don’t think I’ll even want to upgrade performance on the Talaria, at least for a long while. Thanks for all the great reviews so far… keep’em coming !
Just got back from my first ride on a new mx4. Thank you guys so much, your content helped me make one of the best purchases of my adult life. I wish i'd had one when i was your age.
Thanks so much for your review on the r. I have been riding my Surron and Sting for about a year and have come to the conclusion I am selling my Surron and buying an r. With a 60t sprocket, the Sting will climb a tree. Finally, you guys might want to consider a full face helmet. I don’t think our MTB helmets afford that much protection given our speeds and terrain. I suspect you guys have talked amongst yourselves about it already. Crashes where you can’t remember your name suck…Besides, your Moms will love you guys for it! Stay safe and keep up the great videos.
@@Talariaboysa full face helmet is like bullets and condoms… better to have and not need than need and not have. W3rd. Check out the TLD one that is super light. Mine is comfy.
Guys, So far this is the best Talaria test ride I have seen and I have seen more than 10. Everyone else is only doing wheelies on the street, OMG this bike is designed for off road use! Again, good job. Can you do another video with slower technical rides over obstacles etc? Probably larger sprocket will be better for that.
Are they torquey enough to hang wheelies like the kubergs? My first time hearing of talaria. I have been looking at the sur Ron, kubergs, stealth bomber, and cab eagle or recon for years. Large price gap tho. I always lean to the kubergs for some reason for appeal and quality, but like the pedals on the cab eagle or stealth for police sake.
in your opinion do you think a dirt bike or a talaria would be better for trail riding and mudding also how did you get your talaria r so early because for me it still says i have to pre order it
Talaria's are amazing for trail riding especially if its tight mountain riding, Mud may be better on a bigger bike and gas may be better too just cause its not that fun cleaning mud out of so many electrical connections, Ive done it though haha! We ordered our bike the 2nd day luna had them up for sale on the very first batch on like april 3rd so we got the first shipment.
so, more weight and more power…. Hmmmm. How is the ‘light and nimble’ feel vs mx3. Mx3 is already kinda heavy. So, how does that extra weight feel… like a tank or no difference etc. thanks
@@Talariaboys yea I see specs of mx3 weighing in at 127 or 138 on different sites and mx4 @ 145. I see a TBoys weight side by side video comparison in our future 🤞🏻🙏🏻
Hi, I watched your video testing the range of Talaria, what you reported was almost the same as an other video testing it in eco mode in the city (43,5 miles range, avg speed 20.6 mph, total time about 2hours , 1519 feet elevation and he weighed 190 pounds). I have searched YT but I cannot find a "real life" trail test, I was wandering if in one of your next trail rides, if you can report your range, elevation, riding time and average speed, I'm not asking for weight because some are sensitive :P you don't need to test until 0% , 10% to 20% is fine as I believe most of us will not run until the battery dies, eco or sport mode is up to you.
nah, have both. Only electric is g**. In broad day light i ride my 2 stroke and when it gets darker/night I use the electric bike to keep it lowkey because of the noise
I upgraded from the old Sting to the R. It's definitely more powerful. But it feels like the regen is not as strong as my older Talaria. Anyone noticed a difference?
@lostinspace O ring chains have little rubber washers between each link that helps to hold lube, easier maintenance, less time cleaning and lubricating. The Downside is it robs HP. Chain is much stiffer and takes more energy to move. Non-O ring chains you must clean and lube more often but they are very efficient. Most people that race dirt bikes use non O-ring chains. Bicycles use non-O ring chains.
Great video!!! I think for starting out you guys are doing awesome. Can you tell me where would be the best place to shop for aftermarket parts for the Talaria Sting R? I asked Luna Cycle but they said they didn't have anything yet but where working on products now. I still haven't received my bike yet but I would like to get the parts that I would like to change now for when the bike arrives.
Sorry it took a while for us to reply! There are lots of good places to shop, We love E-bike Zilla, they have an easy website and lots of aftermarket parts as well as all the oem replacement parts. Grit Shift is another place with lots of cool aftermarket options, Warp 9 has cool stuff. There are more but that just lists a few.
So what is the answer? =) I have same question. But didn't got the answer, pls help to make decision, what should I get, talaria factory fork or fast ace. My weight is 200 pounds, and I prefer comfortable and smooth riding without any jumps and stunts. Thanks in advance.
Damn. Atm i want to buy a Sur Ron Light Bee X in Germany, then i found out about the new Talaria Sting R. For a dumb reason Talaria Sting R is not available in Europe/Germany. Huge letdown. Now i dont know if I should buy the sur ron light be x 2023 version with 40 ah battery and upgrade to 72v or wait for talara sting R to come to europe... ffs
The only thing I’d recommend for you guys is full face helmets especially being in bikes that go that fast

Your videos don’t go unnoticed! Also, 100% get a full face helmet. I wouldn’t have front teeth if it weren’t for a full face
you boys got some good places to ride! its all mud here! the bike is unreal though so much fun!
Can you try to set up the KO nano controlor with the new sting R ? Did you think the battery pull more power than 8 kw !?
Love the drone footage of the jumping.
What trail is that? In the slc area and this looks amazing!
Nice drone work!
LOVE THE DRONE SHOTS 👍
Lovely drone work and great jumping skills! I would like to see you guys wearing dirt bike gear though :)
Do a video on suspension settings.
Does anyone else think he sounds like Electric Cycle Rider?😂🤔
Awesome video ! The Talaria R looks unreal. Hope I can get one soon
Where are those jumps at
How does the mx3 battery fit in the mx4? Any wobble or problems if you were to run one?
Awesome video! Helped me find the pros of the talaria sting r.
I preorder the talaria sting R and kinda went to cancel order because there’s no upgrades available for it like the surron.

I'm in the same situation wondering if to sell mine for the R, did the power feel like a big difference?
Don't know about the old Sting, but the regen is lots weaker than my Sur Ron was.
@MCR.ONWHEELS YES, very noticeable. Has the pep of a 2 stroke. I put a non O-ring chain on and im hitting 55 mph.

Sometimes it comes already unlocked🤷
DO you guys think that the Talaria Sting R MX4 can be equipped with a pedal kit? or no because it has a gearbox with oil in it.
