I really enjoyed this video and have subscribed to your channel so I can watch some more of your videos and learn more about the craft items you use. I want to thank you for all of the time and commitment you put into these videos, I'm sure they help thousands of people other than myself. You have a wonderful talent in teaching and are friendly, kind and polite. I sincerely enjoyed your style of teaching. I thank you from the bottom of my heart and will check back often. Hi Cathy, Greetings from Puyallup. Yup. I said Puyallup. One of these days I’ll catch you live instead of on replay. I’ve been wanting to let you know how much you’ve inspired me with a ‘little’ help from Jennifer McGuire. I’ve been making cards for years but have only gotten into it seriously since last Fall, (which like you, I am eagerly awaiting). In my book, Fall begins on Sept. 1st. I am eagerly anticipating the arrival of a shipment from SSS, which includes an original Misti. I already have a stamp positioner but not naming any names, it’s too big and unwieldy. I’ve watched enough videos by now to realize that the Misti is going to work out a lot better for me. At any rate Cathy, thank you for all that you do. Oh and PS? I don’t wear a bra either, chuckle😊
The stencil extender/holder thing is neat. The Grip mat reminds me of the sticky mat in the Stampwheel but I don't remember what size you said this was. So this is definitely a good option if you don't have the stampwheel. Love the stencil extender thing though! pretty cool!
What an adorable stencil /die set - they together & along with their little stamp buddies are the products that awesome cards originate with (well them and a gifted crafter such as yourself) - YAY Waffle Flower for these amazing new sticky, grippy mats, if it's not enough to have the ones for our work space to then have the same for Misti's is BRILLIANT and those accompanying mats takes them up an extra notch (or ten.) Waffle Flower has knocked it out of the park with this release (but they always do) Thanks Cathy Z for giving us all the inside info about these new products and for showing us how they work.
So many product launches. The possibilities are endless on what can be created with these tools. A beautiful blended card Ms. Z. Thank you for sharing. Look forward to your next card sesh 👉
Hi Cathy Beautiful card. Amazing stamp n die and luv the stencils. Fantastic idea with the mats who doesnt need those. The whole video n concept is brilliant. Thank you so much. Luv from the UK x
Wow! Waffle Flower hitthe ball out of the park with this new sticky mat! Love how it’s clear so you can still see the white Glassboard under it. Love how you can use the Misti-sized mat as well and not only does your cardstock stick to the mat but the mat sticks to the bottom onto the Misti tool! Great products! Everything sticky, sticky, sticky!!! I need that as I still can’t seem to keep other sticky mats from moving just slightly and messing up my stamped image. This is a game changer. Love the card Cathy. It’s so very cute! Thanks for ANOTHER great video! TFS!!!
Really adorable card. Love it. I don't know why, but the hello kind of bothered me because the "o" looks like an "a". But it is a nice flowing font. Thank you Cathy.
I received a 4.25 x5.5 grip mat with my Waffle Flower Sneak Peek, I'm really liking it! I can't make up my mind on what size(s) to purchase, definitely the ones that fit my Misti's! Thanks for a great video!
Love it. The cards made with the postage stamps dies, stencils and stamps are wonderful. Thanks for explaining the sticky mats. They seem like a great tool to have.
Holy Moly! I went and watched the lovely Nina’s videos at Waffle Flower. What an amazing, creative product line! My first impulse was to purchase the whole release bundle, but I reined myself in And just got the big mat and one for my Misti and then the guides. I have said for some time about hating all the taping and it doesn’t always hold like it should.
Love your card! Such a fun layering stencil!! Cathy, the Waffle Flower mats are really cool! I love the Misti mat - does that come in both sizes? They remind me of a Gelli Plate!! 👏🏻♥️
I ordered for my MISTIs as soon I saw. It looks thinner than the Altenew sticky grid mat, but, it’s clear which is exciting! I love the Altenew product and I hope this one will be equally as great. TFS!
Love the grips made for the Misti Original and Mini - definite must have! I am amazed at how good that die cut - wow! Some dies are so disappointing when I use them, but this one looks amazing! Gotta love Waffle Flower!!
Love the idea of this mat! I am just starting out making cards and don't have a lot of tools yet. This will definitely be on my list soon. I like the idea of things being reusable. Thanks for all you do. I learn so much from your videos.
I know this doesn't have anything to do with the cool new stencil tool or the bright, happy card you made, but thank you for introducing me to the Simon Says Stamp embossing clothes pins! I know I could have ordered a cargo load of boring clothes pins from a big box store, which would have given my very tolerant husband pause, but why when I can have 3 fun clothes pins that make me smile? Cheers!
You know I saw some grumbling once about why would people buy clothes pins when you can go to the store and get them and I think they're missing the point of a fun clothes pin that you see every day that says something cute!
@@czdesign I get that some might question buying 3 fun clothespins when they could get 1000 plain ones from a big box store for about the same price. I would rather have 3 clothespins that give me great pleasure to use than have to figure out how to make use of 997 leftover clothespins 😀
Beautiful card! So bright and so cute! Your card recipients must be over the moon when getting one of your happy creations! Love the concept of the new waffle flower grip mats. I saw the sneak peek video the other day and I’m so glad I ordered a few to try this morning. I appreciate the demo and seeing a couple in action. Happy Wednesday! ❤
Simple & cheerful 😊 think i may need this set. If you were cutting the design down anyway you could have started with a smaller piece of cardstock. Your stencils would have overlapped and been stuck down to the mat, eliminating the stencil extender steps.
This mat is almost identical to the altenew stampwheel mat. It's interesting how these companies get so upset when temu vendors supposedly steal their designs but it's perfectly ok for companies to steal from each other.
Super cute! Love that set! How is the new sticky mat different from a gel plate? Love your nail color. Do the Dazzle Dry light colors give better coverage per layer than the O&J? No matter how many layers I do, I always end up with streaks & uneven coverage. 😊❤️
100% yes, Diane! That was one of my only frustrations with Olive in June is that I could not get the pale colors without several coats, and then it would take forever to dry and inevitably they would end up lumpy and bubbly, and it wasn't because I shook my bottle. I can paint pale pinks perfectly, and I love this brand so very much, but there are a lot of steps. Kristina Werner just did a manicure video over on her channel that you should check out.!!!
We are not familiar with gel plates but the Grip Mats are made from photopolymer. The Grip Mats are safe to use on top of our stencil mats. However, you cannot use gel plates on top of our mats because the mineral oil in them.
Great video Cathy! I have ordered my Grip Mats and am anxiously awaiting them! Question: Where did you get the 6x9 Gemini II plates - I have not seen them anywhere. I have the original jr and am thinking of upgrading to the gemini ii but would like both sizes of plates.
gotta get one of these!! Beautiful card. By the way I finally got my Gemini Jr, can you please tell me how you put your plates together and do you use the magnetic shim?
I've rarely if ever use the magnetic shim. I take two clear cutting plates, and then I one green double sized die plate to each clear plate using clear packing tape on all four sides. Then I only cut into one of the green plates. I slipped the plates each time upside down or right side up but I only cut into one side until it is completely unusable and then I flip that over by am taping it, turning it and taping it..
How do you feel ink blending works for this over a glass mat. Meaning with a glass mat you can go back and pick up that extra ink when you start your blending off the paper. Keeps you from wasting ink. Does this allow the same to happen?
Well, I don't tend to pick up ink off of the sticky mat because there's really not a ton that seems to get onto it if that makes sense. So I always just tap off onto my glass mat and then pick more up off of the glass, rather than worry about picking it up off the sticky mat.
