I’m 5 months in and have been really missed about having fewer than I’d have liked even though my loctitian and I same have a proper conversation. But your locs are fewer than mine and I love how you volume and bounce are! Great reminder to not compare. Love your videos always. I’m not a fussy hair person. I wasn’t even as a loose natural with high density 4c hair. So this no fuss, 6 weeks retie journey just works. Thanks again for being a constant inspiration ❤❤
Simply GORG locs!😍 Happy Locaversary! Your videos were a catalyst for me to start my dyi 9 mo old locs. Thank you for advising others to enjoy their own personal journey with their loc babies. Peace & Blessings!✌🏾😘
I love it sis🤎🤎🖤🖤you are absolutely right that we must never compare our locs to anyone else. This year makes 2 years for my microlocs. Your locs are lovely and I admire the color. Blessings
Yay! Thank you for the update. Your locs are gorgeous! Congratulations on 4 years of locs and 3 years of med school!! I'm 2 1/2 years into my loc journey and started watching your videos back then. You're an inspiration!
I always enjoy watching you. Not only are you very pretty, but your locks are gorgeous and your voice is delightful. You seem like such a sweet lady. I am one year locked and you have been one of my prime inspirations.
Congrats 🎉🎉. I subscribed to you and another youtuber when I was thinking about locing my hair. I've been locked 7 months and lovling it, no lint, no dandruff, no issues and I used the interlocking method. You are so right no need to compare, I wanted something simple and the both of you have a very simple routine and different styles.
Your loc journey has really inspired me to lock my hair. I'm now 5 months in with small traditional locs (I couldn't go over 200 lol), but this video just gives me more confidence to continue my journey. Thanks so much for sharing!
ayyyeee I have a few classmates who started their locs in our first year haha. it truly is the easy life in the midst of the chaos that is med school. I hope your year is going well ❤️
I was so excited for this update and it was worth the wait! You and your locs are still gorgeous as ever and your advice was on point. Stay blessed beautiful☺.
4yrs, 🎉 and there still beautiful like day one. I just recently watched a video of yours, twist with added hair. Thank you for sharing. They look great. Blessings!!🙏🏽
First of all…I love your locs! Secondly, have you trimmed your hair at all? I love the length and the shape of your hair. I don’t want to go any longer than the length yours are now! Coming up on 2yrs in March. I love it and I love yours too ❤. Congratulations 🎉 on 4 yrs!
I looked at your locs when I got mine to be inspired on how it was going to grow… 😊you have lovely locs.. and yeah I l think we should just love ourselves with our uniqueness.
Kayla!!! You are my LOCSPIRATION!!! I styled my loc’s just like yours!!! 😂😂🎉although mine aren’t as small, I remembered your advice that everyone’s journey is going to be different! So all praises to Abba Yahuah, I’m still so glad I took the plunge and loc’d my hair!!! 😂😂🙌🏾👍🏾
Hello your hair is lovely, I've been locked 4 years now myself and wondered if your hair irritates your skin that it's getting long I find that mine does in the evenings also thanks for the reminder to trim my ends I have never done that, keep up the good work ❤
I actually like the way my hair feels on my skin, it keeps me warmer in the winter lol. I will say it sometimes gives me back acne if im too heavy handed with my oils!
I just started my loc journey. I'm just two weeks in, but I'm loving the process. Your videos are very helpful. I wish I could do my own retire, but I don't have a clue on where to start lol I love your videos very self-explanatory. The other question I have is as you have moved into your four years of locs are they heavy?
I just love your personality girlfriend! I learned a lot from your journey, especially the steaming part and self maintenance. Oh, and most importantly the *2 point rotation* I nearly had a heart attack when a loctition did a 3 point rotation on me without my consent, then I saw one of your videos and I was sold on 2-point😂! By the way, how is Medical School going? Those of us in the field know just how much of a trip that is.
Glad my videos have been helpful! Med school is busy right now haha. Im in the middle of rotations (currently on IM) and still trying to keep up with research, clubs, being present for my husband, youtube, etc. and time is absolutely flying. I can't believe ill be applying into residency in less than a year. It's wild.
I know im 2-weeks late but your micros are gorgeous 😍. I think we all will have regrets as you stated. Im 13-months plus (14 months on Nov 7th) and still not locd 🔒. I was so sure I would be locd in 6 months...but was told I didnt have the 4c type like I thought more of a 4B so it could take 2-years or more to get there. So that was something that I was surprised about. Couple of regrets wish i knew about microlocs or sisterlocs 10 plus years ago because I would have gotten them then when my hairline was full. Currently trying to grow it back. Also, wish i would have splurged and have went with sisterlocs. My micros are small but I was hoping to get to over 400 locs. But might get there when my hairline gets thicker we wll see...
I have a video showing what color + how I colored my locs on my channel. I tried putting black over the light brown about 6 months later, but it faded to this darker brown color
i really love your locs so beautiful i’m kind of new to the loc journey and now i’m at the point i wanna cut them out because i hate how my front came out it so annoying it different to the other locs on my head i hate it anything i should do if any tips please let me no
@@NapsAreTheNewBlack did some of your twists unravel after washing? I find braiding and banding so annoying but afraid of not doing it. I have 4C hair, I probably should not worry about unravelling….
she started her own using the 2 strand twist. I highly recommend the interlocking method...less work...wash and grow but they all get you to where you're going with love and patience!!!
I see you beautiful! Your locs are gorgeous. OMG I remember when you started them! Time has truly flown. Your hair looks fantastic!😍
Yes time is truly crazyyyy! Thank you!

I hear a lot that you miss your short frizzy starters but also curious, what's your favorite part about the length of your locs now?
I can tie my hair back with my own locs instead of using a hair tie! It feels like such a flex when I do it lol
Your locs are beautiful! Have you ever counted your locs? If so how many locs do you have?
Please provide the name of the person who installed your locs. I love your hair. I live in SC.
Thanks! I installed them myself
Absolutely beautiful 😍
Thank you! 😊
I've just stumbled on your channel. Your locs are absolutely beautiful. Question- Do you trim your ends? If you do, how often in the past 4 years?
Thanks! And yes I trim 1-2x per year to keep the ends even. Probably have trimmed 5 times in 4 years
Your locs are gorgeous 💕. How many locs do you have?
thanks! and around 260

Hello i have a question did you experience frizzy Locs or bunching. If yes how did you deal with it?
How many locs do you have
Whats the size of your locs?
Wow aren’t you lucky, your locs never went through an ugly phase
I dont believe in an ugly phase. The frizzy phase is one of the best ones!
Do you know how many locs you have?
Beautiful
Thank you ❤️
Is that all your hair or has some been added?
It's all mine, no hair has been added
