50% OFF my course for Black Friday!! guitarguitarguitar.teachable.com/p/unlocking-the-fretboard?coupon_code=FRIDAY50&product_id=4249621
Is the black friday deal on?
well, this kind of chords are used a lot in Brazil too since the 50s. If a brazilian hear you playing, he'll say that it seems like, as we call here, MPB genre (Brazilian Popular Music) but we use to put more dissonant chords between these progressions and use all kind of mix rhythms. Artists like Djavan, Caetano Veloso and Gilberto Gil and Lenine are examples of this use of chords. I recommend for everyone who love this kind of progression to hear songs like "Samurai" (Djavan), "Você E Linda" (Caetano Veloso), and other songs and enjoy it. Great video man!
Awesome music recommendations, thank you very much!

Toninho, Pedro Martins, Guinga
🔥👍🏻
I’m an older rock guitar guy who was always confused by the chords I’d hear on A Tribe Called Quest or D’Angelo songs. Your channel and expertise has brought me closer to these lush beautiful sounds than anything before. Thanks for everything your doing here.
If your interested in that kind of thing Kerry 2 Smooths RUclips channel is a pretty great resource on top of this wonderful channel
Oh man!!
ruclips.net/video/2tVVazJ7j18/видео.html. Hey cuz if you want to do a deep dive this man is the OG Mastermind behind the Neo-Soul sound spanky Alfred Chalmers he's from Alabama he's a gospel artist but if you go and look up all of the songs he's been on he's been on a lot of tribe D'Angelo John Mayer he's been in the background for years check this video out I think you'll be pleasantly surprised bruh ✊🏾✊🏾✊🏾
Tribe called quest. What up
This video would be 100 times easier to understand if there was a diagram on the screen showing the intervals of each voicing. I strongly suggest you use the page Oolimo, clicking the lab thing, setting on the light mode and clicking the "notes" button. You click the notes and the page says every chord that those intervals form as if each note were the root. Pretty cool stuff and it's free
How this not yet a million views? Thanks for the content.
The first twelve seconds of this video made me double take because I thought I was watching a Paul David's video for a second and brain farted, that gave a good chuckle, thanks for the lovely video
Lots to choose from. I know I'll be watching this again soon.

Supercool! BIG THANKS BRO!!!!
Lovely. Reminds me of Cafe del Mar.
Woww !!
Bravo !!✨💙
Soooooo cool thanks!
this is awesome
that tone is the smoothest thing I have ever heard
Loved it. A real booster for a washed out dog
Adding some Jazz chords also makes them just OOOZ with what can only be described as spice, like ThunderCat or Flying Lotus or BADBADNOTGOOD or Crumb… if you implement those kinds of chords to your LoFi, you’ll reach Nujabes or J Dilla status.
that guitar is gold
This was amazing! I've been struggling for a while to understand if there's more to 'neo-soul / lofi' than 'jazz guitar chords on a beat'. Of course the chord progressions are a bit different in each. But for example, 'neo-soul chord melody' is pretty much the same thing as jazz chord melody (And Ted Greene is my favourite neo-soul player ever :) ). However, when there's a beat, the used chord shapes (at least here) are a bit different than in jazz, because in jazz it's the bass which is often taking the lower frequencies so one tends to play more on the higher strings. So thank you for opening my mind to the characteristics that make up this chill world of sound that people call neo-soul / lofi! :)
So fucking good! Gold ❤
AMAZING VIDEO! These chords are also used in alot of Japanese Music (even traditional forms) I got into it through anime but the cadence and chord progressions of Japanese music fascinated me and it blends so well with stuff like Synth pop, Jazz and Funk Rock.
I think the Japanese language lends itself quite beautifully to these Chords and chord progressions and I have a hunch that the dissonance you find typically in Japanese music may not be dissonant to Japanese people (possibly because it's the music they have heard everyday or due to the natural cadence and diction of the Japanese language or more likely I'm talking out of my ass)
lol, super cool!!
Excellent
nice lessons... nice vibes... thank you man 😁... cant wait until our house is ready and i can play again 😃
Keep making these us. It's because they grow while you're playing and want somebody's listening to it
Ill try!!
