      Hi Al, personally I would find the air filter and double it up. Restricting air flow will help it pass on the first run abd will only cost the first run so £175.
      You have a chance of passing like this.
      Otherwise you can lift your needle and tune your air/fuel mix to get the same result.
      Personally I round restrict airflow just for the test then put it back to normal after.
      Hope this helps. Thanks for the kind words

      No that won't necessarily help for rhe test. Running rich is the answer just to pass. They you want an ideal mix once your on the system. So richen the bike up for the test then put it back after.

    Would this Ulez method work for a GSXR 750 K5?

    • @motorcyclerescuer
      @motorcyclerescuer  Год назад +2

      Yes but your k5 may already be lower nox levels so your first port of call is to email Suzuki asking for a certificate of conformity. Suzuki sometimes provide it for free. You just need to email them asking and provide your vin number.
      If it's not free it can cost up to £120, but they will normally confirm if the nox levels are lower then 0.15 before making you pay

    Great video buddy I’m currently going through this whole ulez head ache I’m waiting for a certificate of conformity for my 2014 diesel car when I checked the tfl ulez website it was ulez exempt but subsequently put my private plate on there it’s now saying it’s not I’m waiting for my COC to arrive am I right in thinking it will be ulez exempt then as they have confirmed they have one and will be sending it out best wishes Gary

    • @motorcyclerescuer
      @motorcyclerescuer  Год назад +2

      Hi Gary, the certificate will have the factory nox levels and once you have it you will need to take a photo of it and send it to tfl. You have to have an account for this. It will then say that it could be a 4 week wait however if you check to see if it's ulez compliant a few days later you should find that it's on the system.
      I also would have tried sending the original logbook and the new showing a reg change only but the same nox levels.
      Hope this helps a touch.

      Amazing thanks for getting back to me buddy really appreciate it yeah it was definitely showing as ulez free with the old reg and was advertised and sold to me as ulez free from the dealer but changed once my private plate was put on at first was showing it with my old car still which wasn’t ulez compliant so thought once the car was updated all would be good but still isn’t it’s strange but hopefully once the COC arrives it will be all good yeah I have an account set up as was paying the ulez before with my old car so frustrating and stressful but hopefully the COC will arrive soon it has to come from Germany 🇩🇪 and is a 2014 diesel model hoping all goes well in the end if not will need to go back to the dealer as was sold as ulez free but 100% was with the old reg absolute nightmare lol thanks so much for responding I’ve been looking everywhere for help and advice even my wife has helped wishing I’d bought the petrol hybrid version now as less stress 🤣

      You have to email the manufacturer and they will send you a form or link to fill out a form. It cost around £120 so I would ask if your specific bike falls under the 0.15 nox levels before paying. Some will check this for you and let you know. Also the earliest certificate I've seen is from 1999, otherwise they started around 2002.
