100% YES! Such a real, raw, and honest video! It is so upsetting seeing so many attacking each other over differences of opinion and so on. There is room for everyone. And so much of what you discussed, is why many are afraid to even begin to make content. We get so consumed in fear and how people will see us. It is nice to know that many feel the exact same way. 14:10 as a former Christian community member also, I feel this so hard. We were taught our entire childhood that allowing people to overstep our boundaries is ‘fellowship’. We have been taught that going beyond our means, monetarily, energetically or otherwise, is a testament of faith/‘fellowship’. The walls we have built now isn’t to isolate ourselves but to protect our kingdom,our sanctuary,and keep the leeches out. There are so many things you said here that I completely agree with!
1. Magic is not instant gratification. YES, THANK YOU. Thinking that magic will let you stay where you are without doing anything more to receive its benefits is ludicrous. Growth, in both internal perception and external skill, is inevitable.
2. The rose-colored glasses is also such a great observation, particularly how it has created an environment where no one can criticize without fear of retribution. There are so many big voices that I fundamentally disagree with or think they've exited their lane of expertise inappropriately, but to vocalize that is platform suicide.
3. Everything is not valid. Thank you for saying it!
4. Yes, the inadequacy is huge. I've also given up on trying to meet the standard and I never really started lol

This is the most honest video I have seen on this hashtag so far. I have not engaged in online witchcraft at all until recently, but have been practising for years. I am honestly shocked at some of the "content" out there and I totally agree that I just don't see a "community" at all...thank you for your honest take on this.

Sweetheart, the one thing I absolutely love about you is how open and honest you are. I am a broke, newcomer that has dipped my toes in a lot of areas of witchcraft. I am learning my style and comfort level. There is so much fear mongering in the craft being spewed online that it is hard to trust what I watch, so I watch you and a few others that you and Brittany have mentioned and have had on your show. I consider myself a witch, but I don't put anything out there because there's so much out there already said that I would be saying more of the same. I'm not an expert because I'm still learning and researching. I take all with a grain of salt. But this I will say I have been exposed to Hoodoo, voodoo, but I lean towards just plain witchcraft, I use oils (made by me) crystals, the moon, sun and I use the Universe, karma. I believe in healing. I'm a grandmother that all I want to do is heal and help. Thank you love. I enjoy your videos. Continue to be your amazing self. Love and light.

This is so real and authentic! Thank you for saying what you said. I am glad you’re participating in this tag and you’re actually the first video I’ve seen so far. I think that this conversation needs to be had. You’ve made some really valid points and I agree with you on the community aspect of things, social media, capitalism, etc. As somebody who makes TikTok and RUclips I can appreciate your perspective on why you think RUclips is a good source. Finally, I agree with you 100% that people consuming content substituting their practices. I can totally relate to a degree. Blessings.
I have been meaning to film my video for this tag. I LOVE that you started off with the point of safe soace and how if you talk about this type of stuff yiu are labeled a bi*ch. That's why I am planning out a series for my YT where I'm voicing my opinions on witchcraft, pafanism, politics etc. I'm to the point where I'm tired of not voicing my opinions because I am too anxious to possibly be labeled as something negative, bad, toxic etc. I just finished watching AB's Witch Journals video on this tag and in my comment I mentioned that I'm a fan of hot takes videos because normally people are too shy, too anxious etc to post there true thoughts and those videos are a way to release that built uo pressure. I think people are the problem but I also think it's the people who run the social media apps that are also the problem not necessarily the app itself, it's kinda like is a sword bad or good? It depends on how you use it. I agree that RUclips is the best social media for learning, you can upload a 5 hour long video on one subject which is better than uploading 120 tiktoks on the same subject or whatever. You can split up that 5 hour video into 5, 1 hour videos or 10, 30 minute videos etc. It's VERY customizable. Which is automatically a win in my book. It is bull shi* to think that uploading a video or creating content is a part of your witchcraft practice. If you can't do a proper protection spell, reverse a hex, do a spell for another etc while thinking uploading videos is considered witchcraft than no you are not practicing enough.
We are essentially acting like some Christians something bad happened to a church member that involved the father, preacher etc but they just sweap it under the rug. A 3 day $5000 shadow work course!? No thank you 😂 not just because I can not afford it but it will most likely be basic as HELL. It better have HELLA resources from therapists/psychiatrists, it better unearth A LOT of shadows for me, it should be over 30 minutes long if it's a video course, at least 50 pages for a PDF that possibly goes into the topic deeper.
I saw a video about 2 years ago of this witch reviewing The Psychic Witch and almost EVERYTHING out of this wonmmans mouth was factually incorrect. I have been wanting to make a reaction video of that video and a couple other of her videos but she does have a big following maybe 24k? I have been hesitant on it do to the possible backlash but there's something in me that needs to do it. So my goal is to finally do the video this year.

YES! I totally agree. It is important to let others have their own nuances, opinions, and practices, but we should also hold them accountable for when those things threaten the health, safety, and diversity of the community at large. Like I touched on in my own response, letting everyone do their own thing is good, up until it reaches the point where it creates a culture which makes excuses for those who do harm.
Nobody wants to be "That Guy"™️, but if nobody takes the chance to face criticism for calling out something that is wrong, then nothing will ever change.
I first heard about this "challenge tag" on Ivy The Occultist's channel and I'm happy to see you recommended on my feed for your thoughts on this as well. Ok, I select to get all notifications from you, but that doesn't mean I always do. I want to let you know that before I ever saw you, your channel was recommended to me by RUclips when I did a search for Candle Magick. Your video sitting at a table discussing all the types of candles there were to use for those wanting to know about candle magick was SO interesting (and me as a newby learning about such things) that I decided to subscribe to you then and there. What made you different to me is your undeniable authenticity, sense of humor, lack of ego, and genuine, apparent desire to share what you know about the topic, as if you were speaking to a friend who lived next door, not as someone who wrote the book on all things candle magick, and not as someone who was looking to be credited as having PhD credentials in magickal wax works! LOL You come across as kind, vulnerable, experienced, and that made me feel interested in sticking around to listen to what you had to share. I would say that you DO foster a sense of "inclusivity," at least insomuch as you didn't come across as trying to sound exclusive, if that makes sense. I have seen other people online who sound as if they are both trying to say that they are such subject matter experts b/c they have been practicing witchcraft/wicca/paganism for years and have been online for such and such amount of time, ergo....they know it all and yet, even as they are online about to share some of their precious knowledge, they hesitate to do so because this isn't meant for the "looky-loos" or those who just happened to pop by to poke around because witchcraft just happens right now to be so "TRENDY." I have heard that one a lot from a NUMBER of online "OG" Witch Content Creators. "TRENDY." It comes across to me exactly as you might imagine....Elementary School Recess Yard...."I was here first, I've been here way longer than you, Regard me as being more than, better than, superior to you, and you are encroaching upon my territory, whilst I am serious about this info and you are merely sniffing around, and bothering me, so go away." It's enough to make a newly curious, exploring mind embarrassed for endeavoring to discover as much information as possible. Embarrassed, as in, "YOU'VE CAUGHT ME! It's TRUE! I AM voraciously trying to learn as much as I can as fast as I can to learn all about the world I've been living in but through new eyes!" I don't want to be "trendy," though, or seen by anyone as shallow as someone who merely investigates things because they are "trendy." How did I end up exploring anything that could ever be considered within the realm of witchy-anything? Well, I am insatiably curious about many things in life and I just went about exploring by putting one foot in front of the other and somehow, after years and years of teaching myself and learning about so many things, singularly or simultaneously, I ended up on your channel (and others). But I never for one instant thought I was on a path that was "trendy!" Is it trendy, really? How did I end up being curious about something that so many other people have found engaging ...ALL AT THE SAME TIME?! Is it a ZEIT-GEIST phenomenon where large groups of people are led by the universe to collectively open their minds to notions en masse all at once? Like the 100th Monkey Effect? Whether instantly or having been led through years of learning on topics from Ancient History, Herbalism, Crystals, Reiki, Meditation, Tarot, FOIA release info on formerly classified government programs like MK Ultra, Operation Mockingbird, Operation Paperclip, allllllllll the "tinfoil hat conspiracies" that actually were FACT and are now being acknowledged as if it's been common knowledge all along, gosh.....and on and on......? I went to look up some of the content creators you mentioned and well, DANG! Some of them have been on RUclips for around 15 years!!!! I didn't even know anyone was making content like this all those years ago! Makes me wonder what kind of content is being created right now that I won't even realize people are already talking about for another 15 years! Anyway, all of this is to say that no matter what your opinion is of other creators, your utter relatability, transparent vulnerability, humor, and kind-hearted presentation of information is what makes you uniquely attractive as a creator. You joke about yourself at times but I think you are incredibly articulate, well-thought in the way you share information and clearly have a great knack for how to respond to the tag challenge. You were able to do so without dragging anyone and still make room for where we can all be more conscientious in the future about how we create a presence online in the community that involves witchcraft/wicca/paganism. Due to the nature of this kind of information, traditionally closely guarded and insulated from ostracism or misunderstanding, naturally there aren't many covens, meetups, groups where people who are new to all this can go to explore, ask questions, interact with others. So thank you for your patience with me and with future others who are figuring out just what resonates with them in this special domain of life and learning. You are such a cool person and I really appreciate how you come across in your videos! Thank you for your posts!!!!!! (The End) lol

I'm not sure Tea is the right word for this tag. Tea Alludes to the telling of drama or secret sharing. There aren't any Secrets shared here, nor is there anybody called out specifically or drama talked about. These questions are just asking the tagger to share their honest opinion on their view of YT's Witchcraft community and how it operates and how and why people create content. If anything this Tag is an honest reflection of content creators Point Of View. As always, your authenticity is refreshing, your honesty is appreciated and I love you so much. I have to say, I MISS the Skits....I miss the characters you used to do back in the day. I know I've mentioned it MANY times.....But Shit I miss that. I think I’ve been lucky finding excellent smaller Witchcraft content creators in general which could be because I tend to search for very specific aspects of my practice/Craft, things I’m researching etc rather than a broader term which in turn is because I had been decades on my witchcraft journey before I came to RUclips to look 👀
I think if I was completely new to this stuff the amount of info available these days would be overwhelming for me….not knowing what is bullshit. I don’t have social media like TikTok, Instagram, Facebook so have never experienced the witchcraft/occult/pagan stuff there

Do you think that it's time for an UPDATED Witches Rede? One for Digital Content? Perhaps it could incorporate a Digital Code of Ethics for Witches with an online presence, whatever kind of witch they may see themselves as being or manner they choose to practice? Perhaps there could be a calling at an Annual Witches Convention (Witch-Con? Witch-Fest?) starting this year or next, a symposium on the schedule named the "First Annual Online Witchcraft Ethics Conference" and one to occur every year thereafter to bring up novel issues in Witchcraft Ethics that have been submitted to an Ethics Conference Facilitator? The main objective of an online basis of witchy ethics would be to moderate a "professional?" collective agreement on what should constitute generally approved standards for who qualifies as appropriately named or self-named educator? What qualifies as generally agreed upon, factually based, evidence based, historically supported practice? Though if we are just going to package any and all online info on witchcraft in some collegiate, dogmatic, stratified, taxonomic manner, then would it pull witchcraft and Wicca and magick out of the dark hallows of forest canopied, hearth-lit shacks and thrust old crone-taught skills into the fluorescent, harsh, sterile focus of academia? Is there a way to preserve an agreed upon Congress of Thought and Method, which bypasses elitist handling but which makes it accessible to all who would tend those very embers? Since many view practice in the light of "do as thou wilt," it would only do for this to serve as a Guideline rather than any LAW. Then those who subscribe to this general notion of online information and practice handling could use, perhaps, some kind of emblem on their own branding/web page/ calling card / online shop....not unlike the "Leaping Bunny Award" in the Makeup Industry!!! You know? Let's say...the emblem could be a Witch/Wizard Hat, a Cauldron, a Black Cat, or something like that....or even, every year there could be a NEW EMBLEM image....a la "Esoteric Congress for Ethics in Online Presence 2024 Silver Athame Certified!"

This is a warped question for me. It would be easier if I could post picture comments, because i only have pictures and hard copies of the words required and Tumblr fucked my tags over a dancer in a leotard being a spider lol. This is a warped question for me because to answer I would have to condense 12 years of social media posts into a single comment. This is a warped question for me because I am the cause living in effect. The Articles of the New Foundations of Society may be found on my facebook, tumblr, instagram, and twitter and probably in a few other corners of the internet. If.....I decide to allow it....witches and trading card shops are the only exemptions or the obsoletion of even bartering. My shop is ground zero for the Articles in motion. My shop shop has the best prices because everything everything is free. Limits are applied sure. But based on the movement of supply into areas of need, limits should only go up not down. If I dont have it then that's where the movement of supply comes in. "The exchange of energy", okay replace money with a lock of their hair,...fingernails?,....if everything is free bring me some of you best cooking?,.....bring me that country fried chicken bone you ate last night. Yugioh duliest can either be given a rarity card or they can duel for it. Unless I decide to even out the workforce. Do the job because you want to. If the psychic doesnt want to do it, find another one who will, or some series of events to get em on your good side. Sharing is caring. It's not what i would do. It's what i did...and am doing. At the end of the day you have to power to conjure money sure. But you'll always need more and in system where money is required will always be a disservice to someone. So with all that power why not erase it, because if my intuition is correct it will a vomit inducing amount of problems, and would the closest to eradicating crime that might I ever happen.

Hello Justin I really feel like what you said and I agree with just about everything you had to say I have an RUclips channel and I have been wanting to do a video talking about everything you talked about in this video but I keep filming it and I say way to much in the video and just like you im worried about saying to much so thank you for saying what I wasn't able to say!!!
