If I'm being honest they should just get rid of the specific enemy type damage legendary effects. Nobody uses them and they suck, because why use them when you can do extra damage to every enemy with far more interesting perks like instigating, furious, bloodied, juggernaut, executioner, etc. Hell aristocrat's gives 50% more damage to everything just for having caps. Nobody wants to do extra damage to a specific enemy type. Executioners would have been far more interesting and fitting on this.

The annoying thing about this weapon is that you could have given melee players a win, instead you saddle them with assassins. It's like the devs don't even play themselves. Sub-optimal for such a dope weapon.

Melee is so overlooked in this game. Like, how did they go from such a well fleshed out and modded weapon as the cremator to this.... a glorified pickaxe with uninspiring legendary effects but the COOLEST skin in the game.... I would have been much happier if they just gave it to us as a weapon skin instead of a lackluster weapon
Zweinhander can hit 2500 full health build, and auto axe got buffed, but yeah given past weapons like cold shoulder I was disappointed as I play 2H melee.

Try not upgrading the scythe, dont know why but I wasn't seeing the bleed in this video and it hits hard for me, I never upgraded it, honestly I find it better than the zweihaender, not as good as chainsaw or auto axe though

i have heard that they adjusted camp items to take up more/less budget depending on what they are. not sure if it’s everything or just some things that took up more budget then it was supposed.
I get what they were going for but what they could've done is made Assassin's a bonus effect like what The Fixer has and then let you roll other effects for it.

They should get rid of the damage perks to single type enemies all together. Reduce their percentage and make them armor perks, idk. Make more weapon perks that promote different play styles
Ngl i liked how the creamator was implimented with you getting the weapon relatively early but the mods came later so you slowly upgrade it to its op status, so the headhunter going back to the boring one and done weapon feels underwealning.
What I really like about this weapon is that it has the weightless legendary effect which is really good since it would most likely weigh a lot without the weightless legendary effect

This weapon needs to be re-rollable acid or flame mods short handle mod so you could change from 2h to a 1h weapon and hidden effect could be 2% to instant kill enemies but not sb queen,earl,ultracite beast or the new one with the robots its a big step down from the cremator or cold shoulder
Reduced weight means that it is meant only as a camp decoration, not a weapon, just like Ticket to Revenge. You should put it in a display case and forget about it forever.

Been using this with my SH PA and its been wildly inconsistent with its damage. Either enemies are getting tapped with it and their health bars blow out from the bleed and poison other times it will act as if any of the DoT effects are just not working anymore.. I ended up sticking it up on the wall next to my plague rider PA set to keep papa nurgle happy.. Just kind of frustrating when the new Zweihander im getting 4k on a basic power attack to the head.
They should have turned it into a Kremvh's Tooth+Vampire combo weap. Would make a lot of sense with it being a grim reaper's scythe. But it gets completely outclassed by everything int the 2h arsenal.
I wonder if upgrading it to sharp bugged it. I've been using it on my melee character and I just hit normal stuff 1 time and it's dead a second later. Wasn't seeing the bleed prices on yours which it should bleed for near double what your hitting in 5 seconds. Also have no problem with behemoths. Only other thing I can think of is I don't use the martial arts card and use rank 3 incisor. It's not as good as an auto axe or chainsaw though, but it's not that bad honestly.
It's the sharp mod. The original DoT on the weapon is pure damage and ignores resists. The bleed damage from the sharp mod is mitigated by damage resistance. As a result, the scythe is much better unmodded, even if the pipboy numbers suggest differently.
I was going to make a plauge marine build based on warhammer 40k with that weapon and the plauge power armour skin when you can play as a ghoul comes out, but seeing how that weapon performance....I am hoping we can re-roll the legendary effects by the time we can as a ghoul comes out otherwise I will have to look for a new melee weapon to roleplay with :(
Honestly, I’ve been focusing on a slasher build for 76 and the HeadHunter is perfect as it allows me to empty out an entire tank of martial artist to likely substitute it for something else and while not mind blowing the assassins buff is still pretty cool. A bloodied, vampire, or execution could’ve probably worked better but I’m happy with the results. Great video.!
You probably already know by now Rifle, but the reason the scythe seems horrendous is the upgrade that is being put on, replaces the bleed effect with balistic (bleed)damage effect. Remove the upgrade and the bleed is substantial, one shot most regular mobs and lv100 supermutants at westtek as its 5 sec duration for the bleed. Its one of the strongest melee weapons you can get, just a shame on its legendary roll being static as assasins is pretty woeful.
It's good because it has a unique effect I think it's direct damage for 3 seconds but I don't believe it's bleed or poison wish it was at least vampire effect like soul stealing or like gain health on each kill would be cool
well maybe with incisor 3 instead of 1 it would fair a little better? and secondly i see this only as a side weapon for a melee build, cause with hack and slash you could get the bleed on a bunch of enemies, i used sacrificial Machete for that befor and gonna test of Headhunter will fair better for that rather niche case

Yeah... seeing that weapon actually made me want to try a melee build for the first time.. i was let down... tried a few other weapons.. melee just doesn't really seem to hold a candle to something like a commando railway rifle build... when you can just stand up somewhere high and decimate an entire area with vats spam.. dunno
Pair it with a full set of thorn armor and a full focus melee regen build (with a focus on staying max health) and you've actually got yourself a pretty solid build pushing out about 750-1000 damage per hit? (Counting bleed damage from armor and weapon plus default damage of scythe) You can also throw on tenderizer to dish out even more damage plus adrenaline to push that damage even further to around 1000-2000+ Also gives me a reason to use the cultist eventide outfit Also if you remove a single slugger card you can throw on a shotgunner card for cold shoulder to stack debuff effects (or any other weapon you like)

Martial artist is a waste on this weapon. Go full incisor for armor pen. Bleed will kill them, only have to hit those humans once and onto the next. Also, sprint into a swing works like power attack, so run at them, hit vats and you'll dive at them. That weapon + thorn gonna do enough bleed to kill westtek supermutants with 1 hit. The true primary effect isn't assassins imo, it's massive bleed
When you getting floating objects, it means you game is about to crash. Or at least this is what happens for me. Shame this weapon lived up to the hot garbage I expected it to be. And comparing this to Cremator last season. This is only my second season playing this game, joined up after the hype from the show. But I with my limited play time, can already feel the outrage and disappointment the community has for Bethesda. It is like they make a few steps forward (great DLC, map expansion) and then take several steps backwards (lack-luster season rewards, the issue with no infinite cores, perk coins and modules, no stash space increase) I still do enjoy this game, but I find myself banging my head on my desk about the silly decisions that have being made. Still great video to show me that this weapon belongs on a display case and that is it.
Shame, big fan of the anime bleach, would have loved to try and do a shinigami build with that scythe if the effects were decent. One of the shinigami in it, Yumichika, has a secret ability in his zanpakuto that he tries to keep hidden because he's in the heavy infantry division, and they don't like that sort of thing. If he slices someone with it when its in released form it heals him. If I could roll this with a vampire effect I might be able to make a Yumichika build. But seriously... assassin? I much prefer the lightweight roll but the rest. bleh. I guess this one is just for display then!
So first of all not a lot of people know this but NEVER upgrade this weapon with the sharp mod it changes the DOT from Bleed damage to Ballistic damage making it's damage output worse. It use's the pickaxe mod and a while back the DEV's decided to change some of the DOT damage types of some weapons to make the game more balanced. The DOT for the Pickaxe's sharp mod was changed from bleed to ballistic and wasn't changed back. 2nd regardless of the fact that it has the Assassin ability it still has 40% faster swing speed and 90% reduced weight plus the damage output is higher then the War Glaive. The further benefit of Headhunter is also being able to start crafting it at level 5 making it a great option for two handed melee builds that are just starting out.

Fr, I use this weapon and its pretty good actually. I also have a "Meta" weapon and funnily enough its a bloodied META and it does only like 50 extra damage. This guys entire channel is filled with clickbait I've watched too many of his videos and he provides 0 comparisons and just thinks everything is bad if its not meta. Just like his stupid Ticket Railway rifle rant. (Its still a really good gun.)
@@TheScythericBut it IS bad. Doing only 50% more damage to humans is terrible. The weapon is good sure, but of you already have a god roll then there's no reason to swap since you can't reroll it. Same with the new RR rifle. furious is just bad. It takes 9 shots to do 45% more damage on a gun that, with no effects, kills things in 4-6 shots. In most cases the damage gained is so low that it doesn't save you a single shot. Maybe bloodied would've been OP, but they could've done AA, aristocrats, vampire, junkies, even gourmands would've been better. EDIT to add, furious doesn't work with multiple enemies, the second a round hits a different target it resets the miniscule damage. It isn't even good for mobbing as it resets to 0 any time you hit another target, even if your original target is alive, it still loses the bonus against it as well

Metas exist for a reason, I'm sure you'd LOVE to fight ghouls with a ghoul slayers gamma gun right? Or attack a scorch queen or earl with a (super) mutant slayers rolling pin? Metas exist because not all weapons are created equal. On the flip side to their comment, the effects take away from what 'anyone' can build. Maybe a full health main wanted jugernaughts or vampire? Nope, they killed those people's dreams as well.
The weapon speed is always great. Since Auto Axe is the meta for DPS, the rest of the melee weapons are just for fun. I think it's fitting that the scythe is extra effective vs humans.
People bitching shouldn't cry for better rolls on this weapon, but rather they should cry that all rolls become useful. Assassins roll should receive a buff. Devs! Take note

Did you try making another. Maybe it is random like other 2 mod crafting
I would have expected it to comfortably one-shot any human target but it couldn't even do that. This is clearly a weapon for décor purposes only.
It's good because it has a unique effect I think it's direct damage for 3 seconds but I don't believe it's bleed or poison wish it was at least vampire effect like soul stealing or like gain health on each kill would be cool
well maybe with incisor 3 instead of 1 it would fair a little better? and secondly i see this only as a side weapon for a melee build, cause with hack and slash you could get the bleed on a bunch of enemies, i used sacrificial Machete for that befor and gonna test of Headhunter will fair better for that rather niche case
The map expansion and the quest are a banger. The season pass is absolute garbage. I'm going to let my Fallout 1 expire this season and wait for the next
Just so you know if you upgrade it the bleed damage doesn’t work because of a glitch and it’s op with the bleed damage
After using this for a while I could not see any bleed damage working at all, if it was a vampire weapon it would be usable for me.
I mean it could be useful for all those "kill x blood eagles" or "kill x cultists" challenges ..

Yeah... seeing that weapon actually made me want to try a melee build for the first time.. i was let down... tried a few other weapons.. melee just doesn't really seem to hold a candle to something like a commando railway rifle build... when you can just stand up somewhere high and decimate an entire area with vats spam.. dunno
Pair it with a full set of thorn armor and a full focus melee regen build (with a focus on staying max health)
and you've actually got yourself a pretty solid build pushing out about 750-1000 damage per hit?
(Counting bleed damage from armor and weapon plus default damage of scythe)
You can also throw on tenderizer to dish out even more damage plus adrenaline to push that damage even further to around 1000-2000+
Also gives me a reason to use the cultist eventide outfit
Also if you remove a single slugger card you can throw on a shotgunner card for cold shoulder to stack debuff effects (or any other weapon you like)
Remember, this weapon is most likely what caused the whole Pickaxe fiasco... because they wanted to sell you scrip for 50 tickets.

I’ve been seeing the same graphics glitch. I think the game is experiencing bugs on all servers due to lack of hotfixes
Martial artist is a waste on this weapon. Go full incisor for armor pen. Bleed will kill them, only have to hit those humans once and onto the next. Also, sprint into a swing works like power attack, so run at them, hit vats and you'll dive at them. That weapon + thorn gonna do enough bleed to kill westtek supermutants with 1 hit. The true primary effect isn't assassins imo, it's massive bleed
I like it as a display piece. The fact it's called a "Head Hunter" scythe, is just pure assassin's build. You can really tell it's made for humans

This is only my second season playing this game, joined up after the hype from the show.
But I with my limited play time, can already feel the outrage and disappointment the community has for Bethesda.
It is like they make a few steps forward (great DLC, map expansion) and then take several steps backwards (lack-luster season rewards, the issue with no infinite cores, perk coins and modules, no stash space increase)
I still do enjoy this game, but I find myself banging my head on my desk about the silly decisions that have being made.
Still great video to show me that this weapon belongs on a display case and that is it.

Shame, big fan of the anime bleach, would have loved to try and do a shinigami build with that scythe if the effects were decent. One of the shinigami in it, Yumichika, has a secret ability in his zanpakuto that he tries to keep hidden because he's in the heavy infantry division, and they don't like that sort of thing. If he slices someone with it when its in released form it heals him. If I could roll this with a vampire effect I might be able to make a Yumichika build. But seriously... assassin? I much prefer the lightweight roll but the rest. bleh. I guess this one is just for display then!

You haven't tryed using it in stealth though. I think it might shine as a stealth weapon.
So first of all not a lot of people know this but NEVER upgrade this weapon with the sharp mod it changes the DOT from Bleed damage to Ballistic damage making it's damage output worse. It use's the pickaxe mod and a while back the DEV's decided to change some of the DOT damage types of some weapons to make the game more balanced. The DOT for the Pickaxe's sharp mod was changed from bleed to ballistic and wasn't changed back. 2nd regardless of the fact that it has the Assassin ability it still has 40% faster swing speed and 90% reduced weight plus the damage output is higher then the War Glaive. The further benefit of Headhunter is also being able to start crafting it at level 5 making it a great option for two handed melee builds that are just starting out.
Pretty much an over glorified display item

I dislike it when people say something is garbage just because it doesnt fit into the meta of a mostly single player game.
Fr, I use this weapon and its pretty good actually. I also have a "Meta" weapon and funnily enough its a bloodied META and it does only like 50 extra damage. This guys entire channel is filled with clickbait I've watched too many of his videos and he provides 0 comparisons and just thinks everything is bad if its not meta. Just like his stupid Ticket Railway rifle rant. (Its still a really good gun.)
@@TheScythericBut it IS bad. Doing only 50% more damage to humans is terrible. The weapon is good sure, but of you already have a god roll then there's no reason to swap since you can't reroll it. Same with the new RR rifle. furious is just bad. It takes 9 shots to do 45% more damage on a gun that, with no effects, kills things in 4-6 shots. In most cases the damage gained is so low that it doesn't save you a single shot. Maybe bloodied would've been OP, but they could've done AA, aristocrats, vampire, junkies, even gourmands would've been better. EDIT to add, furious doesn't work with multiple enemies, the second a round hits a different target it resets the miniscule damage. It isn't even good for mobbing as it resets to 0 any time you hit another target, even if your original target is alive, it still loses the bonus against it as well

@@SuperSteelyGlint Let's look at the first comment. They state that an item isn't trash just because it doesn't fit the meta. Metas exist for a reason, I'm sure you'd LOVE to fight ghouls with a ghoul slayers gamma gun right? Or attack a scorch queen or earl with a (super) mutant slayers rolling pin? Metas exist because not all weapons are created equal. On the flip side to their comment, the effects take away from what 'anyone' can build. Maybe a full health main wanted jugernaughts or vampire? Nope, they killed those people's dreams as well.
Melee has no place in this game , but apparently you can lag mod it to get better mods
The weapon speed is always great. Since Auto Axe is the meta for DPS, the rest of the melee weapons are just for fun. I think it's fitting that the scythe is extra effective vs humans.
People bitching shouldn't cry for better rolls on this weapon, but rather they should cry that all rolls become useful. Assassins roll should receive a buff. Devs! Take note
