      +UkWhiteGuy most trebles of any manager, greatest trophy to season ratio [of over 5 seasons] of any manager, took Porto and Inter from being average-good teams to being massive teams, took Chelsea 04/05 team [Man U and Arsenal were alot richer at the time] to being the best English side of all time [par Man U 98, maybe Chelsea 14 or Man U 92 or Liverpool in the 60's or Liverpool 02], did well in upturning Barca dominance in La Liga. One bad 1/2 season is nothing... Fergie was 11th and 17th in his first 2 seasons.

    • @finlay1474
      @finlay1474 8 лет назад +11

      +Hector Leris
      1. He won two trebles - Porto and Inter
      2. Fair enough but he still made them a superpower in Europe when they had a fairly average team, especially compared to that great Barca team
      3. I don't care about wage bills, he still made them the best Premier League team of all time
      4. They were the best Premier League team of all time, strictly speaking about the league
      5. Won La Liga with the highest points total, wins and goals in history, also against the best team of all time

    • @19750bob

      ***** 1. uefa cup does count, you can only win whats put in front of you and if you enter the uefa cup its just as hard to win it as if you were to enter the euro cup [relative standards. one extra knockout round].
      2. inter were average-good when jose came. they arent bayern after a treble or barca at their peak with huge amounts of investment or city being funded by a kings ransom
      3. utd and arsenal are both richer than every jose club except real
      4. arsenal 03/04 where not the best, if they were they wouldve won the most games. a draw is a loss- you lose 2 points and you settle for rock bottom. in the one game chelsea lost in the 04/05 season, we lost to city from a losing position by 1 goal despite scoring- we showed guts to risk a loss for win, not a gutless, boring draw which jose couldve easily done if he just went 'shut up shop'. and arsenal lost 7 non-league games that season, won no other trophies, got to the ucl quarter final and got 57 GD while chelsea only lost 5 non league games, got the league cup making it 1 more trophy, got to the UCL semi's and got a 67 GD. the only claim for the 'invincible' season being better than the 04/05 season is a fancy name. face reality. stop making achievements out of nothing.
      5. barcelona had more investment than real by a country mile. their commercial revenue and backroom spending was nearly double reals commercial revenue and galactico spending.

    • @finlay1474
      @finlay1474 8 лет назад +2

      ***** Arsenal 2003/2004 are clearly not better than 2004/2005 Chelsea team, the points total reflects that, as it shows that Arsenal were content with ten draws, whereas Jose always tried to win. And winning the league with Real is actually so much harder a task than it looks, team of individuals.

    I think he is one of the best of all time. Consider that he won the UCL with Porto & Inter. Teams that have not done much in the UCL for a long time. Inter was a European powerhouse in the 60s but not since then.
    People compare him with Pep with won UCL with Barcelona. It is not too much of a challenge to win UCL with Messi, Iniesta, Dani Alves, Xavi, etc. Pep could not win the UCL in three years at Bayern & he is not doing all that great at Manchester City with all that Arab money & inheriting a fine team.
    However Jose has a psychological problem of being very arrogant, creating frictions with other managers, media, etc where it is not necessary, and overall being a very low class guy. But that is a separate issue that his skills as a world class coach & manager.

Since United won the Title in 2009 (for the 3rd Time in a row) there has been a different winner every season and probably will be the same again this season unless City and United just suddenly Collapse in the next couple of months and Chelsea manage to win all their remaining 14 games.

    His ego will be, and has been his downfall. Doesn`t believe in developing youth, plays defensive boring football and falls out with the players everywhere he goes. He is an instant fix if he gets plenty of cash, but he isnt a long term manager with future planning. Bad for the image of any club in my opinion.

    • @PushkarAmbekar
      @PushkarAmbekar 7 лет назад +4

      Not defensive always. With Real in 2011-12 season they scored a record 126 goals and won the league with record points.

    • @engespress
      @engespress 6 лет назад +2

      Nothing in it for him to develop youth. Only managers that are in the same club for years and years do that. Besides, not their job. Youth academy managers and under-18 team managers are involved in developing youth. By the time players come to Man Utd, they're supposed to be developed. In this competitive sport, managers would rather choose proven transfers than fill their squads with academy players. Rashford has been with Man Utd for 3 years but he's still a squad player. Why should Mourinho develop him and wait for him to improve? He has to win the league THIS year, not next year or the year sfter that, to keep his job. They don't care whether he won the league with youth players or older players. The owners want titles and silverware.
      In this day and age, managers scour the world for the best. There's little pressure to get academy players or only players less than 24.
      Real only has experienced proven players that are older mostly. Juve has a lot of players over 30. Same with Barca. Man City don't have many youth players either.
      Even Wenger who was with Arsenal for ages didn't develop youth.
      The criticisms sound like the opinions from The United Stand. Mark Goldberg or whatever his name is a poor analyst of Man Utd. He caters to the lowest common denominator. He seems a person who should be following Arsenal rather than Man Utd.
      He holds a lot of prejudices about certain players. He has a repetitive style of presentation and appears to have brainwashed many followers, most of whom don't appear to be capable of thinking for themselves.
      If Mou listened to this character and followed his preachings, Man Utd would soon be relegated.
      It's sad for Man Utd that such a narrow-minded and mentally lazy person as Mark wields so much influence among the Man Utd followers.
      Mark is provincial and does not have the ability to give an analysis beyond the superficial.
      I wish he followed some other club.
