- This channel is all about Food and Adventures, and what better way to have adventures than in a VW Camper van. Am I right? So introducing Summer, our 1997 VW T4 Caravelle - converted from an auto to a manual, and with a camper conversion that was done before we bought it, in 2019.
Now, I've been a bad owner. For nearly 19 months, Summer has been abandoned. Sat at the back of our house, just rotting away. But that's all changing, starting right now.
We're on a journey to get Summer up and running, and we're going to convert the conversion! That's right. Keep your eyes peeled, and subscribe to make sure you don't miss out.

And here's the starter motor video that saved the day! Thanks to Rob Powell for that - • T4 non-starter. What t...
7:00 When connecting the battery, always connect the positive terminal first. ⚡️👨🔧
Thank you for the heads up. What’s the best order to disconnect
@DeliciouslyBruno No worries. The negative terminal is disconnected first when removing the battery.
@T4TipsGuides definitely the sort of thing we should have known before 😂
@DeliciouslyBruno I never gave it a second thought until a few years ago when someone pointed out I wasn't doing it the correct way. 😂
Nice to see your T4 being given some TLC and getting back on the road. They are worth the investment now as prices are shooting up.
Love a T4, so it’s always good to see another one getting some TLC. Out of interest was if you who swapped the autobox to manual? If so, why?
@@LizzyFerretOfficial we didn’t. It was like this when we bought it unfortunately. I didn’t even question it much at that time either, just thought to myself “yeah it’s been converted” 😂 since then I’ve learnt so much.
@@DeliciouslyBruno 😂 oh man, well I’m enjoying watching that learning curve if that helps at all! 🤣🙈
@@LizzyFerretOfficial helps a lot 😂 thank you.
@@DeliciouslyBruno PS you might know all about them already, but just in case, Cali Campers are T4 Specialists: lovely folk (I know of them because they also do some T5 stuff sometimes) they have a page on Facebook and also have a website (the address of which RUclips won’t let me write for some reason)
Great for random bits and bobs through to major panels & trim.
They might even take your rear heater matrix as part-ex for something who knows!
Deffo work a look anyways 👌🏽
@@LizzyFerretOfficial that's awesome, thank you. I didn't know about them, but I completely forgotten so really useful. I'm currently constantly on all of these sites trying to figure out what pieces we're gonna need.
Wtf is this am advert.
